New Vermouth at the Kirkwood Store!

We have been expanding the entire liquor section at Kirkwood, but with warm weather around the corner, we are really ramping up the vermouth section. We may have gone a little overboard this week...😆. We are especially excited about the unique Japanese and Greek vermouth additions!

Oka Kura Japanese Bermutto...$26.99/750ml

Oka Kura Brand Japanese Bermutto is produced at Tsutsumi Distillery in Kumamoto, Japan. Tsutsumi Distillery has been producing traditional shochu for 141 years and is 1 of only 28 distilleries certified by the WTO as a Kuma Shochu producer, which is similar to the DOC’s of Scotch, Tequila & Cognac. Using 100% rice and only crystal-clear water from the Kuma River, Tsutsumi Distillery is tremendously respected for their ability to bridge the gap between tradition and innovation.

Fortified Junmai Sake with rice shochu. The fortified sake is acidified with Yuzu and Kabosu, and Sansho Peppercorn and Yomogi (Japanese Mugwort) add further complexity and light bitterness. The result is a decidedly Japanese take on vermouth with warming spices and sage on the nose, mellow citrus on the mid-palate, and a grassy finish with lean bitterness and lingering hints of yeast. 18% ABV

Otto's Athens Greek Vermouth...$19.99/750ml

A few steps away from Otto’s house, on the upper floor of a neoclassical building under the buzz of a one of the top 50 bars of the world, a passionate team revived the great times of Athens Vermouth and crafted the first bottle of Otto’s Athens Vermouth. High quality Greek wine infused with rose petals, wormwood, citrus fruit, olive leaves and herbs grown under the sun of Athens such as oregano and angelica, creating a uniquely Greek flavor.

Cask House Triple Oak

Bourbon and Rye Whiskey
The concept at Cask House is simple. We take whiskeys of different ages, produced from different stills, with different mash bills (for the whiskey novice, a “mash bill” refers to the mix of grains used in the distillation process), and we blend them to create a high value whiskey of exceptional taste and singular quality.
--Washington, Missouri

2018 Neyers Chardonnay Carneros District

2018 Neyers Chardonnay Carneros District...$28.99
This is a blend of fruit from four vineyards in Carneros—two in the western reaches, including the Sangiacomo Home Ranch, one in the north and one to the south—all farmed to sustain a healthy yeast population for spontaneous fermentation in barrels. It’s tight and stony with zesty lemon curd flavors, lasting on umami complexities. If you open it now, pour it with an onion, bacon and Gruyère tart; it’s also built for the cellar
Rated 93/100 Wine and Spirits
Aromas of lime, spiced apple, smoke and cedar. It’s medium-to full-bodied with bright acidity, tight layers and a toasty, energetic finish.
Rated 92/100 James Suckling

Springfield Brewing Company Blue Canoe American Pale Ale...$9.99 / 6pk cans
Blue Canoe is a well balanced copper colored pale with a pleasant mild malt character and citrusy hop flavor.
Our latest interpretation of the classic American pale ale. We retained the Cascade hops, the heart of Paul’s Pale Ale which has been a staple of the SBC lineup since 1997. The additions of Amarillo and Ekuanot along with a reworked malt bill combine for a balanced and highly drinkable new beer. Balance, citrusy, hoppy and pleasant. Now in a can!
This Pale Ale was brewed with clean, crisp Ozark’s water. Since 1997 SBC and James River Basin Partnership have each striven to protect our region’s water and beautiful Ozarks landscape. Together we will continue to educate and take action in elevating the quality of our most precious resource, water. A portion of the proceeds from each 6 pack will go back to JRBP to help keep our water clean.

Springfield Brewing Company Greene Ghost IPA....$9.99 / 6pk cans
Greene Ghost IPA starts off with hops in the nose, then with a nice smack of hops on the kisser, followed by a lingering hoppy wonderfulness! And the right blend of malts, mashing profile, fermentation control, and craft keep Greene Ghost in balance.
Greene Ghost is a West Coast-Style IPA. Its sole purpose is to make those hop lovers who want an IPA happy from the hoppy pleasure of enjoying such a damn good beer.
Great with just about anything involving meat and cheese and light heat, try it with pulled-pork nachos!

Springfield Brewing Company Greene Dragon Double IPA...$10.99 / 6pk 12oz cans
Greene Dragon Double IPA has a big punch of juicy, tropical melon notes that fill the nose, followed by a citrus silky smooth finish. This delicious brew features a double helping of Citra and Idaho 7 hops. Greene Dragon is sure to leave any Hop Head happy.
Craving more hops? Greene Dragon DIPA is a pumped up version of our flagship IPA, Greene Ghost. Named after a brewing term, “Green Dragon”, referring to a trail of green dust that plumes up after a generous dry hop into the fermenter.
Cheese curds or burgers.

Springfield Brewing Company Obscura Dark Lager..$9.99 / 6pk 12oz cans
Mexican Style Dark Lager

Our newest Spring Seasonal! Rich chestnut hue and a light to medium body. Brewed with a variety of roasted malt and pilsner malt for a mild caramel, cocoa and biscuit malt flavors. Touch of hop bitterness, but not much hop flavor. Clean, smooth with an impeccably balanced finish and the slightest hint of maize. Try it with a lime.
Oscura (translated means dark) is a dark lager that was first brewed at SBC in February 2020 and quickly became a beloved draft offering among our regulars and Mug Club Members. The can design is inspired by one of our favorite Ozark night time activities; sitting around the campfire with friends and enjoying a good brew.
SUGGESTED PAIRING:
Hearty or spicy foods. BBQ, Tacos, and Smoked Meats.

Amrut Aatma Unpeated Indian Single Malt Whisky

Amrut Aatma Unpeated Indian Single Malt Whisky...$129.99
  • Single Cask #6212
  • Unpeated Indian Barley
  • Ex Fino Sherry Cask
  • Barrel Filled January 2016
  • Bottled June 2021
  • 396 bottles
  • 56.5% ABV

Aatma is a Hindi word meaning “Soul” or “Spirit” which we thought was an appropriate name for a Single Cask offering, as it reflects the soul of the whisky. It is non-chill filtered, and has no colour added. This will be a collector’s portfolio whisky. This seven year old whisky is rare. The climate for whisky aged in Bangalore, India equates to whisky from Scotland that is more than 3 times the actual age, so the taste profile is similar to a 21 year old or greater.

Murray McDavid Benchmark

Murray McDavid Benchmark Dailuaine 12 Year Old...$99.99
  • Limited Release - 1357 bottles
  • Distilled 2009
  • Bottled from four casks.
  • Region: Speyside
  • Wood: Bourbon hogshead
  • Finish: 1st fill Sauternes

Dailuaine was the first whisky distillery to proudly adorn a ‘pagoda’ designed by the renowned distillery architect, Charles Doig in 1889. With a quick distillation, Dailuaine creates a versatile single malt that matures well in a wide variety of casks. We have selected this spirit for a rare finish in French oak barriques, previously filled with Sauternes, a sweet dessert wine from Bordeaux.
Drawing influence from the seductively fruity and floral dessert wine cask for 14 months, the bountiful spirit of Dailuaine continues to shine bright. This is a rare opportunity to enjoy such a beautifully balanced example of this fine Speyside single malt.

Murray McDavid Benchmark Craigellachie 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch...$99.99
  • Limited Release - 1054 bottles
  • Bottled from three casks.
  • Region: Speyside
  • Wood: Sherry hogshead
  • Finish: 1st fill Murça Tawny Port
The Craigellachie Distillery in the very heart of Speyside is an impressive sight, with its traditional pagoda and glass-walled stillhouse. It proudly displays four large, mighty copper stills, unmissable from the outside, giving you an idea of the visceral power that makes Scotch whisky.
We have taken three casks of powerful 11-year-old Craigellachie single malt and further matured the spirit in specially selected Tawny Port barrels from Caves de Murça, our winemaking partners in Portugal. After 15 months, the time had come to share this transformed Speysider. This bottling is a great representation of what we do at Murray McDavid and our Art of Maturation philosophy.

Murray McDavid Benchmark Blair Athol 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch...$119.99
  • Limited Release - 1506 bottles
  • Bottled from four casks.
  • Region: Highland
  • Wood: Bourbon hogshead
  • Finish: 1st fill Oloroso Sherry
Built in 1798, south of the Cairngorms is one of Scotland’s most visited distilleries – Blair Athol. The spirit from this traditional distillery, that has been in favour with master blenders for hundreds of years, is celebrated for its full-bodied character. Now, for the very first time, we give Blair Athol its debut in Murray McDavid colours.
Developing sweetness from bourbon casks, this hearty Highlander was further matured for 20 months in freshly emptied Oloroso Sherry casks, gently progressing its opulent character. The rich, nutty spirit that flows from the stills of Blair Athol is a new favourite amongst our Whisky Creations Team.

Murray McDavid Benchwork Linkwood 8 Year Old Single Malt...$76.99
  • Limited Release - 1614 bottles
  • Distilled 2012
  • Bottled from eight casks.
  • Region: Speyside
  • Wood: Bourbon hogshead
  • Finish: 1st fill Koval bourbon

Linkwood Distillery is one of the oldest producers of single malt whisky in Scotland. To celebrate the distillery’s 200-year anniversary, our Whisky Creations Team have selected this classic Speyside malt to mature in modern, small bourbon casks from our partners, Koval Distillery, in Chicago, USA.

With a higher wood to spirit ratio, these small 110-litre casks mature spirit far quicker than if it were in a standard American barrel or a Sherry butt. After two years in these small casks, the results are a wonderfully balanced whisky. A solid and reliable example of what can be achieved with the Art of Maturation.

CRAFTED BLEND - Ensembles of great malt and grain
Some people believe that blended whisky is inferior to single malt. But this view ignores the long tradition of blending, which has given the world some truly great Scotch. Whisky blending is an art. We at Murray McDavid have used our extensive range of grain and malt to craft an innovative range of whiskies which will change your view of blended Scotch whisky forever.

To make this opulent blended Scotch whisky, our fourth batch of Rìgh Seumas II (pronounced “ray shay-muss”), we’re rebelling against mediocre blends. We have brought together a “dram worthy of kings”. This luxurious dram, bursting with a variety of different spirits, consists of 70% malt and 30% grain whisky – a highly complex and unique recipe. This is a European favorite that is now available to the USA.

This powerful blend, inspired by Jim McEwan, is the spirit of Bruichladdich, along with older malts from Auchentoshan, Tobermory, Arran, and Old Rhosdhu. These were matured in Bordeaux red wine barriques, blended with grain whisky, before resting in Sherry hogsheads. The arts of maturation and blending at their very best.

We at Murray McDavid have used our extensive range of grain and malt to craft an innovative range of whiskies which will change your view of blended Scotch whisky forever.

An homage to a classic combination, a tradition born in the bars of Glasgow, the ‘half n half’ is a half pint of beer with a Scotch whisky. Our half ‘n’ half is a blend of 50% single malt from four Speyside distilleries and 50% sweet Lowland single grain whisky. This coming together creates a dram that goes down perfectly with a nice, cool beer.

For its final year of maturation, we have finished the Half ‘n’ Half in hogsheads previously used to mature a hoppy beer from our friends at the MOOR Beer Co. in Bristol. This light and gentle blended whisky has developed into a very quaffable dram, one which we invite you to enjoy with your favourite beer.

Murray McDavid Cult of Islay 32 Year Old Blended Scotch...$339.99 / 700ml

  • 32 Year old

We at Murray McDavid have used our extensive range of grain and malt to craft an innovative range of whiskies which will change your view of blended Scotch whisky forever.

Our Cult of Islay pays homage to the island’s undeniably messianic spirit, with its huge following. A marriage of two legendary Islay malts, Bowmore and Laphroaig, paired with a luscious Lowland single grain whisky from the North British Distillery. Equal amounts of Islay malt whisky and single grain whisky, both aged for at least 32 years, creates a bewitching balance of alluring spirits. These are original Murray McDavid casks selected and married personally by Jim McEwan.

The adored spirit of Islay flows through this sensational dram. This is a blend of bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks, displaying serious maturity and styles rarely seen in today’s world of whisky. A truly sublime blended Scotch – a dram to be worshipped! The old grain has viscosity which is smooth on the palate and balances the peat of Islay perfectly.

The First Liqueur Made Exclusively from the Seven Species
The Seven Species are listed in the book of Deuteronomy to praise the attributes of the Land of Israel….“a land of wheat, and barley, and grapes, and figs, and pomegranates; a land of olive oil and honey (dates)….”

In the 16th century, the famous kabbalist R. Isaac Luria revealed the correlation between the supernatural energies of the Seven Species and the seven emotive characteristics of the human soul.

By combining the physical and spiritual properties of all seven fruits and grains together into one exceptional taste, an otherworldly liqueur has been born to indulge the senses.

Righteous Road Gibor Whiskey Liqueur...$39.99
Whiskey Liqueur
A original blend of straight rye and bourbon whiskeys with Righteous Seven liqueur

GIBOR™ (‘ghee-bore’) is a new brand of whiskey liqueur being introduced by Righteous Road Craft Spirits.
It is our first product launch with whiskey and we have spent considerable time getting to the right combination of rye and bourbon blended together with our award winning Righteous Seven liqueur.
There are very few whiskey liqueurs on the market and hardly any that we know of that are a combination of rye and bourbon blended with a fruit liqueur, up at 80 proof.  The rye we used on this first batch is a high rye at 95% with 5% malted barley, aged at 4.25 years. The bourbon is 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley, aged at 3.5 years. Our Righteous Seven® liqueur is made from wheat, barley, grapes, pomegranates, figs, olives, and dates.
Once blended and rested, this whiskey liqueur brings a taste profile that combines notes of spice and caramel together with the forest fruits and chocolate tones of Righteous Seven, all in one satisfying and smooth pour.
GIBOR is best experienced neat or on the rocks. Enjoy as well with your favorite cigar.
A ‘Gibor’ is the Hebrew word for a ‘strong and mighty one.’ A Gibor shows fortitude and courage to maintain moral virtue when challenge and adversity knock at the door. We hope you enjoy it and that your ride is a righteous on

Righteous Road The Fifth Cup Liqueur....$29.99
Kosher for Passover
An original blend of apricots, figs, dates, pistachios & almonds to delight your palate.
Indulge and enjoy neat, mixed, or on the rocks.

Back story:
It is well known that four cups of wine are drunk on the first night of Passover. But little is understood about the fifth cup. In the vast expanse of the Babylonian Talmud, the fifth cup is mentioned just once, giving credence to the assumption by some that it must have been an error. In most printed versions of the Talmud today the ‘fifth cup’ has been removed.

Throughout history though, many Torah luminaries have argued that the ‘fifth cup’ text should remain. In the 16th century, the famous Maharal of Prague urged that the unabridged version of the text be followed: “…over the fourth cup one completes the Hallel. Over the fifth cup one recites the psalm known as the Great Hallel.”

He writes that Hallel (Psalms 113-118) and the four cups of wine at the Seder are related to redemption. The Great Hallel (Psalm 136), however, is one step above redemption and associates with the number five, for it states that the Lord provides every single creature with food. The Talmud aptly expounds that providing “the sustenance of an individual is even more difficult than redemption.”

As such, the fifth cup has its rightful place at the Passover seder. It serves as a testament to the Almighty who not only redeems, but also provides sustenance directly and not through an intermediary. The Fifth Cup™ liqueur was developed to acknowledge this wonder.

Our cup sits inside a five petaled rose depicting the description in the opening lines of the Zohar. “And there are five strong petals on which the rose is set and they are called salvations and now they are known as the five gates. And this rose is called the cup of blessing, of which it is said, ‘I will take up the cup of salvation…’ ” (Psalm 116:13).

The Fifth Cup™ liqueur is hand-crafted with the finest figs, apricots, dates, almonds and pistachios to create a taste reminiscent of renewal and springtime. It is meant to be enjoyed during Passover and the rest of the year as gratitude to the Almighty, who sustains us each day.

Blackadder Chimera Cask Strength Scotch...$139.99/ 700ml
First ever release of Cask Strength Chimera
  • Cask ref: CH 1-2021
  • Bottled February 2021
  • 333 bottles produced
  • 59% ABV

Chimera is a new range of BLACKADDER Vatted Malt Whiskies.

In mythology a Chimera was a monstrous creature made up of multiple animals. Don't worry though, we at Blackadder haven't gone mad ! Today’s Chimera is a single organism made of mixed species, the result of which is often breathtaking. As we are best known for our single cask bottlings, we felt Chimera would be the perfect name for this exciting range of exclusive blended malt whiskies. All Chimera are vatted together for extra aging after which they are bottled from the individual single casks in which their constituent malt whiskies have been married together.

No two Chimeras will ever be the same; from the sources of the constituent whiskies to the fingerprints left by the individual casks.

Chimera 01 is a mix of four different Single Malt Whiskies. One is a Single Islay from refill cask, One is from First Fill ex Bourbon cask, one is a Sherry Cask Highland and one is a Sherry Cask Speyside.

We have to use the horrible term Blended Malt to keep it legal but we prefer to call this beautifully crafted whisky a Vatted Malt.

Chimera will never be the same, always different. Even as you enjoy your first dram you will notice changing sensations from sip to sip. Chimera - taste and enjoy the difference!

Peat Reek Embers are specially-selected casks from our already well-known Peat Reek portfolio. These are casks that we feel stand out from amongst a selection of which we are already very proud. This in no way means we think they are better than others in the Peat Reek selection. All have the heavily-peated quality that is a hallmark of Peat Reek, but some of the Embers range have been given cask finishes selected to help further complement the whisky. As with the burning embers of a fire, the finish lingers long after the last sip.
