The 2015 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese (AP 17) is clear, though still a bit reductive on the nose, offering sweet herbal flavors more than anything else. There are very subtle mineral flavors in the background. The wine is round, highly refined and perfectly balanced on the palate, provided with a lush and sweet fruit, an elegant texture and a stimulating salinity and grip in the finish. This is gorgeous! Keep it for another 5-10 years, though.

The 2015 Graacher Himmelreich Auslese (AP 16) displays a very clear, precise and flinty/smoky bouquet of perfectly ripe stone fruits and crushed stones, intertwined with lemon flavors. This Auslese is enormously mouth-watering, incredibly piquant and salty, with an endless flow of lush fruit juice and melting minerals. This is a great Riesling and a digestible, picture-book Auslese.

Prüm's 2015 Graacher Himmelreich Spätlese is clear, intense and flinty on the nose, very precise but well concentrated; however, it is the most reductive of the Spätlese quartet. Round and piquant, with a stimulating fruit and salinity, this is a very well-defined, crystalline and straight Spätlese of great finesse and elegance. It needs five years or so to unfold all its talents, but it can surely age for 20 or 30 years.

Every year we age a special batch of our much-loved Russian Imperial Stout in Bourbon barrels. The depth, intensity, and complexity of the flavor profile of this special release, like its predecessors, make it a worthy tribute to Old Rasputin.

Prior to 2010, Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin was released in such limited quantities that it was available only at the North Coast Brewing retail shop in Fort Bragg, California. However, we received so many requests for this beer that we began producing enough Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin to put into broader, but still limited, distribution.

Thanksgiving is not complete without a glass of bubbly to start things off. This rose is nothing if not a perfect start to an evening, or afternoon for that matter. The Falmet Rose is light enough to kick things off but packed with flavor and would suite you well for the entire evening. I can't say it enough, we all need to drink more Champagne!

Don't overlook this non traditional red! Made from 100% listan negro grapes, this esoteric red from the Canary Islands is a great pairing for fall cuisine. Medium bodied with notes of white pepper, nutmeg, and dried cherry, it finishes smoothly with a just a hint of smoke. Give it an about an hour of air before enjoying!

Bargemone is consistently one of our favorite Rose wines each year and the press always scores it 90 or higher each year.  This Rose has enough body to stand up to your Thanksgiving dinner and it looks festive in the glass!   Plus it is sustainably grown too.

Light bright orange. Mineral-accented citrus fruit and red berry scents show very good clarity and pick up a suave floral note with aeration. Chewy and tightly wound, offering juicy cherry and red currant flavors that slowly put on weight as the wine stretches out. Shows good tension and cut on the finish, which lingers with strong, minerally persistence.

A barrel aged cocktail by Still 630 here in St. Louis!  To our knowledge this is the first BOTTLED Barrel Aged Cocktail made in St. Louis!  Made by three St. Louis collaborators!

We supplied a 15 gallon freshly dumped bourbon barrel.  Mixologist, Jeffrey Moll, created the recipe and David and I filled the barrel.  We then let it age for about 6 months.  Production will be very small since it was only a 15 gallon barrel - we only have 80 bottles!

Ohishi Distillery
Ohishi is the closest distillery to the source of the Kuma River. The Kuma River is one of the 3 fastest flowing in Japan and is renowned for its superior water quality. The Ohishi Distillery is blessed with fertile Soil and clear underground water, elements of an environment in which it upholds tradition but is always open to experimenting with new approaches. They use 30% of rice grown in their own fields. It is “gohyakumanishi”( 5 million stones) rice. The gohyakumanishi rice is grown in Ubuyamamura using an organic farming method that involves the use of koi carp to control weeds in paddy fields). They combine it with a mochi rice from Kumamoto Prefecture as a main ingredient. With about 1200 Sherry and Brandy casks, Ohishi Distillery puts a lot of effort into maturing its products over a long period of time.

Missouri is very fortunate to be 1 of 14 states in the U.S. that we will be receiving the highly, highly allocated Laphroaig 27yr in a couple of weeks. This is a one time offering, with only 2,400 bottles released in the US. 

The specifics are:
To make this exquisite liquid, mature Laphroaig previously aged in refill hogsheads was transferred into first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and refill quarter casks. Patiently aged in Laphroaig’s famous Warehouse No. 1, these casks were then hand selected for a final maturation. This rare whisky features a touch of Laphroaig’s trademark peat smoke tempered by lime and sea salt.
