Bluewood Brewing

Meet us in Saint Louis.
Cameron Lund and Grant Lodholz joined forces while still in college. These early days of homebrewing fostered a fledgling passion for craft beer, and provided a creative outlet for the young brewers. In 2015 they adopted the name "Bluewood Brewing" as a nod to the nicknames for their college homes: one called “Ol' Blue” and the other known as “Plywood" because this is where they found their love of the craft.
Their unique offerings and approach to the art of brewing helped establish their presence and products in the local brewing community. The pair earned a following and reputation with their unique artisan ales, pushing them to take their passion and create a professional production. By the end of 2016, the two combined their brewing knowledge and expertise with the efforts of Michael and Joseph Jones to form the "original four" and pursue a permanent home for Bluewood.
We found that home in the historic Lemp stables, and opened our doors to the public in September 2019. As the Bluewood team grows, we continue to push the limits of the art and science behind our beers.

Meet Brian, our Master Distiller. He is an absolute legend in the world of Irish Whiskey and we couldn’t be more proud to call him a member of our family. Brian’s experience speaks for itself. For the last 7 years he was Master Distiller for some of the most renown and high quality Irish whiskeys in the world.

It is not just Brian’s taste for whiskey that brought him to Keeper’s Heart—Brian was captivated by the opportunity to bring his skills and family to America in order to explore new expressions in whiskey, bringing together two whiskey traditions to create something entirely new. We are thrilled he is part of the family.

2019 Domaine de Pegau Chateaneauf du Pape Cuvee Reserve...$134.99 / 1.5 liter

The 2019 Châteauneuf du Pape Cuvée Réservée looks set to rival the best examples of this bottling. Made up of approximately 80% Grenache, with 6% Syrah, 4% Mourvèdre and smaller amounts of other permitted varieties, it's impressively complex on the nose, with scents of black cherries, blackberries and black olives, plus mysterious wafts of violets and garrigue. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it finishes long and velvety, a sure-fire bet for cellaring.
Rated 95-97/100 The Wine Advocate
This youthful Chateauneuf has a very complex nose of graphite, raw meat and lilies. With aeration the black-cherry note steadily grows in intensity. Bold, leathery and earthy palate with fine tannins that build steadily on at the extremely long and straight mineral finish. Drinkable now, but best from 2024.

FRIDAY, November 18th FROM 4pm-6pm

Tom's Town Botanical Gin...$26.99 / 750ml
A combination of floral, citrus, and baking spices, the notes in Tom’s Town Botanical Gin create a complex tasting experience. Our distillers employ two methods, combining vapor-distilling and maceration to delicately balance all fourteen botanicals. One taste and you will understand why this gin won a coveted gold medal at the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America conference in 2018.
Tom's Town Double Oaked Bourbon...$35.99 / 750ml
A warm and spicy bourbon with notes of maple, butterscotch and honey
Our innovative wood stave finishing process begins with traditional aging in white American oak barrels, and is complemented by a second aging with French and American oak staves which are inserted later in the process. The staves bring out notes of caramel, without the bitterness that can come with additional aging. This is a crowd-pleasing bourbon that’s perfect for cocktails.

Original Sin McIntosh Unfiltered Cider...$11.99 / 6pk 12oz cans
In the early 19th Century, John McIntosh noticed a young apple tree growing on his property in Ontario near the U.S. border. Delighted by the delicious fruit produced by the tree, he sold seeds to his neighbors hoping to popularize the new type of apple. It took him years to realize that apples do not grow true to seed and that varietal propagation could only be achieved through grafting. Today, the McIntosh is commonly grown in New York, Canada, New England, and Michigan. The aromatic McIntosh with its distinct white flesh and vinous flavor is coveted for fresh eating and cider production. Notably, Apple Inc.’s Macintosh computer is named after this well-loved apple.
2019 Gold Medal Winner at Great Lakes Cider Competition
Original Sin Black Widow Cider...$11.99 / 6pk 12oz cans
Wild blackberries are native across the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of the United States. They grow bountifully throughout summer and ripen to a plump juicy black color in August. They belong to the rose family, as you might expect from their thorny brambles, along with raspberries, strawberries, the stone fruits, and almonds.
Any forager can use blackberries to make wine or infuse whiskey, or enjoy in 12 oz cans with freshly pressed New York apples from Original Sin.
