"Xavier Vignon, along with Philippe Cambie, are probably the two most highly renowned oenologists in Chateauneuf du Pape as well as some of the surrounding Cotes du Rhone regions. ...He is the consultant for such well-known domaines as Raymond Usseglio, Jerome Quiot, Beaurenard, La Nerthe, Mont Redon, Marcoux, Grand Veneur and La Gardine....They access gorgeous fruit from many different appellations and are doing a top-flight job of getting impressive quality into the bottle. Moreover, there are some top values in their portfolio as well." - Robert Parker

"Many of his wines are released quite late onto the market, as he prefers to age wines up to three winters before bottling and two winters after bottling." - Robert Parker

2016 Xavier Lirac Rouge....$21.99
"One of Vignon's better efforts, the 2016 Lirac showcases ripe fruit, ranging from raspberries and cherries to hints of stone fruit. Yet, it's not over the top or simply fruity. This full-bodied wine adds hints of leather, garrigue and licorice along the way, evolving from creamy to velvety on the palate and through the lasting finish.
Rated 92/100 The Wine Advocate

2016 Xavier Gigondas Rouge...$33.99
"This is a very impressive expression with such intense, energetic and vibrant ripe cherries and red berries. The palate has such prowess and precision. Drink or hold."
Rated 93/100 James Suckling
"One of the gems in the lineup from Xavier is the 2016 Gigondas which is made from 85% Grenache and 15% Mourvèdre, from a number of terroirs, but mostly from higher elevation, limestone sites. Its deep purple color is followed by terrific notes of ripe blackberries, toasted spice, and dried herbs, with a hint of graphite. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, with brilliant purity and lots of tannins, it’s killer wine to enjoy over the coming decade or more."
Rated 93/100 Jeb Dunnuck
"The 2016 Gigondas from Xavier Vignon kicks off with a spicy touch of clove and cracked pepper, then eases into black cherry fruit, a full-bodied, supple mid-palate and a long, creamy finish with just a touch of warmth. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
Rated 91/100 Wine Advocate

2016 Xavier Vignon Beaumes de Venise Red....$24.99
"Vignon has been tinkering with the blend of his Beaumes de Venise over recent vintages and appears to have nailed it with the 2017 Beaumes de Venise, a cofermented assemblage of 60% Grenache, 15% each Mourvèdre and Syrah and 10% Cinsault. Tasted as a tank sample, it's full-bodied and lush, with waves of black cherries, hints of stone fruit and nuances of allspice, pepper and licorice on the long finish. Vignon says it will spend three to five years in vat, so don't expect a release anytime soon.
Rated 90-92/100 The Wine Advocate

Xavier Vignon Arcane Etoile Beaumes de Venise Red....$34.99

"Coming from the higher elevation sites, the NV Beaumes de Venise Arcane Etoile is another elegant, finesse-oriented wine from Xavier that has both richness and freshness. A blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre as well as a small amount of Viognier from 2015, 2016, and 2017, it has something profound in its texture and balance. Notes of black raspberries, currants, dried flowers, lavender, and pepper are followed by a beautiful, full-bodied, elegant wine that might just be one of the greatest red wines to come from Beaumes de Venise.”
Rated 95/100 Jeb Dunnuck

2016 Xavier Vignon Rasteau Rouge....$25.99
"The 2016 Rasteau (75% Grenache and the balance Syrah and Mourvèdre) is a big, ripe, opulent effort that’s packed with full-bodied notes of blackberries, crushed rock, new leather and lots of minerality. It has sweet tannin, and while already impossible to resist, it will keep for 7-8 years."
Rated 92/100 Jeb Dunnuck
Nicely done all around, Xavier Vignon's 2016 Rasteau is full-bodied and slightly warm, but it does deliver complex notes of ground spices, ripe plums and supple tannins. Drink it over the next 5 years.
Rated 90/100 The Wine Advocate

2016 Xavier Vignon Chateauneuf du Pape...$44.99
Average 60-80 years
"The 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape is a full-bodied blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah, aged in a mix of concrete and wood vessels. Ripe stone fruit, raspberries and cherries cascade across the palate, framed by creamy-supple tannins and mouthwatering acids. While approachable now, there's enough structure to warrant cellaring for up to a decade. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.
Rated 92/100 The Wine Advocate
"Mostly Grenache, the 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Xavier comes from all the terroirs of the region. Its deep ruby color is followed by a complex, elegant red that has medium to full body, good acidity, and classic notes of garrigue, leather, underbrush, and ripe red and black fruits. It's a beautifully textured, elegant, and balanced effort to drink over the coming decade."
Rated 92/100 Jeb Dunnuck

Stone Ruined Again Triple IPA

Stone Ruined Again Triple IPA...$15.99 / 6pk can
10.8% ABVIn 2002, we introduced Stone Ruination IPA (and its imposing 100+ IBUs) as the first year-round West Coast double IPA on the planet. Then in 2012, in commemoration of its 10th anniversary, we introduced a new beer that would grow to be known as Stone RuinTen Triple IPA. Now, we’re bringing that back in all its over-the-top, cranked-to-11, maximum hoppy splendor, using every brewing technique in our arsenal to squeeze every last bit of magic out of a truly staggering amount of hops. It’s been 18 years of beautifully bitter evolution, and this stage dive into a mosh pit of hops is bigger and bitter-er than ever. Don’t call it a comeback.

Andremily Syrah No. 6

Stunning wine!!  At this price it is actually a bargain!
Very limited

2017 Andremily Syrah No. 6....$119.99

Based on 92% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre, and 3% Viognier aged 22 months in 60% new French oak, the 2017 No 6 is another killer bottle of wine from Jim Binns, offering incredible richness and depth while staying light, elegant, and graceful. Stunning notes of smoked meat, cassis, black pepper, violets, bouquet garni (bay leaf, thyme), and honeysuckle all soar from the glass. These carry to a rich, powerful, perfectly balanced Syrah with awesome tannins, no hard edges, and a great, great finish. It builds beautifully with time in the glass and, despite its upfront appeal, my money is on this evolving for upwards of two decades. There are roughly 800 cases produced.
Rated 100/100 Jeb Dunnuck

Composed of 92% Syrah, 5% Mourvedre and 3% Viognier, using 40% whole cluster, the Andremily 2017 No. 6 is sourced from White Hawk, Larner, Harrison-Clarke, Watch Hill and Alta Mesa Vineyards. To be bottled mid-August 2019, it will spend around 22 months in French oak barriques, 60% new. Deep garnet-purple, the nose is already singing at this nascent stage, giving up loads of bright blackberries, crushed red and black plums and mulberries scents with Indian spices, cardamom, Sichuan pepper and dusty soil plus a waft of wild thyme. Full-bodied and firm, with a refreshing line cutting through the densely packed black fruit layers, it has wonderfully ripe, rounded tannins and a long finish.

Benjamin Chapman 7 Year Old Whiskey

Benjamin Chapman 7 Year Old Whiskey..$35.99
This whiskey might possibly be the most tangible connection to Benjamin Chapman that exists today. From what we’ve been able to gather, this eponymous whiskey exemplifies the refined preferences of one of the world’s most intriguing and enigmatic men.

Benjamin Chapman is fashioned with a blend of 51% 10-Year Canadian Rye and 49% 7-Year Canadian Prairie Wheat. The rye is distilled by artisans with pure glacial water sourced from the northern Rockies in an old-fashioned pot still for a clean and flavorful profile. Aged in white oak casks for just over ten years, an optimum level of char adds complex layers of vanilla and spice.

The Canadian Prairie Wheat is distilled in continuous triple column stills and aged for a minimum of seven years in American oak whiskey barrels for a rich and bold style of whiskey. Blended together for the perfect combination, the result is an exceptionally distinctive small-batch whiskey.

Schlafly Apple Pie Cider

Schlafly Apple Pie Cider...$7.49 / 4pk cans
ABV: 6.8% | IBU: N/A
Fermented apples form the foundation of every cider. A blend of favorite spices creates the unique flavor profile from one of America’s most iconic desserts. Poured into a glass, it looks like a golden goddess, but underneath is a homecoming of tart and sweet. Let the memories of fresh-from-the oven apple pie rush back in as you sip. This is cider made the old-fashioned way with best of old-fashioned flavor.

Ommegang Three Philosophers...in CANS

Ommegang Three Philosophers...$13.99 / 4pk cans
THE BEER Rich and complex, Three Philosophers is a glorious blend of Belgian-style quadrupel and authentic Belgian kriek, its malty depth and gentle sweetness enhanced by sparkling carbonation and a serendipitous touch of cherry. The meaning of life? Even if you don’t quite get there, this beer is sure to sweeten the journey.
TASTING NOTES Three Philosophers pours a dark cherry-chestnut with a smooth, tan head. Aromas of brown sugar, dark fruit, and chocolate lead, trailed by an intriguing hint of black cherries. The flavor is deeply complex, with notes of caramel, vanilla, cocoa, and roasted malt throughout the front and mid-palate. Tart cherries linger on the long, slow finish. This is a beer to sip and savor.

Cigar City Humidor Series IPA

Cigar City Humidor Series IPA...$8.99 / 4pk cans
Spanish Cedar-rested India Pale Ale
DID YOU KNOW?
This unique IPA shares all the tropical and citrus flavors of our Jai Alai IPA but with an added dimension imparted by Spanish cedar, the same wood used to make cigar humidors. Wood from the cedrela odorata tree is added post-fermentation to impart notes of sandalwood and cracked black pepper, adding depth of flavor and accentuating the IPA’s moderate bitterness.

Bells Sparkle Berry Raspberry

Bells Sparkle Berry Raspberry...$12.99 / 4pk cans
Sparkleberry is an American interpretation of a Belgian Tripel brewed with raspberries. Slightly tart, dry and spicy, it was originally brewed for release at Kalamazoo Pride in 2013, the same year it won a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival.  It has returned every year since drawing incredible praise at other Pride events, beer festivals and at our Pub.

Booker Vineyard - My Favorite Neighbor

2018 My Favorite Neighbor Harvey & Harriet...$34.99
Paso Robles Red Blend

The barrel sample of 2018 Harvey and Harriet is made up of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Syrah, 14% Petite Sirah, 10% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec and 4% Petit Verdot, aging in 75% new French oak. Deep ruby-black in color, it has a very layered nose with aromas of exotic spices, crème de cassis, blackcurrant bud, tar and tilled black soil with hints of violet, lilac, cardamom and baking spices. The medium to full-bodied palate is silky and has a great interplay of fruit and spice. It has a firm, pleasantly chalky frame and just enough freshness, finishing long with a youthful cloaking of oak spice. About 9,400 cases will be made.
Rated 93-95+/100 The Wine Advocate
Tasted out of barrel, the 2018 Harvey and Harriet sports a deep purple color as well as a powerful bouquet of ripe black fruits, tobacco leaf, smoked earth, dark chocolate, and Asian spice. Full-bodied, ripe, and incredibly sexy on the palate, it has hints of background oak, a rounded, opulent texture, no hard edges, and a great finish. It's one serious, pleasure-bent beauty.

Pushing the envelope in a way only Adam can, Clarice Wine Company  brings together many facets of Adam’s life and career.  The wines tell the story of how a young boy’s curiosity of his
grandmother’s style of cooking can inspire a unique way of making wine yielding three incredible Pinot Noirs.   The grapes are sourced from two very special vineyards in California’s  Santa Lucia Highlands that Adam has worked with for decades.  Adam graciously sent us samples, we believe they are amazing representations of not only his craftsmanship, but the region as well.

2018 Clarice Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir -- 197 cases made
Starting with the 2018 Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands, its translucent
ruby/purple color is followed by Gevrey-like bouquet of black cherries
and savory dark fruits, damp earth, leafy herbs, and forest floor. Needing
plenty of air to show at its best, it’s medium-bodied and has a silky,
elegant texture, good acidity, and again, a Burgundian style in its texture.

2018 Clarice Rosella's Vineyard Pinot Noir

From a great vineyard located in the heart of the Santa Lucia Highlands,
the 2018 Pinot Noir Rosella’s Vineyard offers a touch more fruit in its
bouquet of framboise, wild strawberries, spring flowers, and candied
orange-like aromas and flavors. It’s beautifully balanced, medium to full-
bodied, has plenty of mid-palate depth, and more structure and depth
than the straight appellation release.

2018 Clarice Garys’ Vineyard Pinot Noir
“Seeing plenty of stems and a fair amount of new oak, the 2018 Pinot
Noir Garys’ Vineyard is the biggest, richest Pinot Noir in the lineup and
has a rocking core of red and black fruits, baking spices, dried flowers,
and a hint of iron. Beautifully textured, full-bodied, with a deep, layered
mid-palate, and ripe, building tannins, this is a rock star of a Santa Lucia
Highlands Pinot Noir to drink over the coming decade or more. While it’smy favorite of the three releases, all of these are beautiful, singular wines.

Woodsmen Whiskey from Missouri

About Our Company - from Missouri!!!

At Woodsmen Distilling, whiskey distilling is a family run operation. We like to say that our family tree is ‘made of Missouri white oak’, the wood we use to make the barrels at our family’s cooperage, Barrel 53. Quality is at the heart of everything we do, and we handle every step of the whiskey distilling process from grain harvesting to bottling. Our process may take a little extra time and care, but we believe it’s worth it for superior quality and flavor.
