MAY ONE ALWAYS PUSH YOU FURTHER
RD1 crafts impressive Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon to celebrate the firsts in our lives – those who were first to create, first to believe, first to remove barriers. OUR ENTIRE LINEUP won honors at the 2023 Ascot Awards
This traditional Kentucky Straight Bourbon invites you in with delicious aromas of vanilla wafers and roasted almonds. When sipping, orange flavors are followed by honeyed caramel, herbal tea and peppery oak. A long, warm finish ends dry with a spicy hint of ginger and cinnamon.

2019 Antinori Badia a Passignano Chianti Classico Gran Selezione
What a stunning deal on a Tuscan!
2019 Antinori Badia a Passignano Chianti Classico Gran Selezione...$52.99
A dense, rich red highlighted by black cherry, blackberry and blueberry flavors, with flashes of vanilla and toasty oak underscored by mineral and wild herbs. Shows fine balance and texture, with a tannic structure emerging on the earth-tinged finish, suggesting this will need another two to three years before hitting its stride. One for the cellar. Best from 2025 through 2043.
Rated 95/100 The Wine Spectator

Penfolds Quantum Bin 98 Cabernet Sauvignon
No guilt, but isn't your dad worth it!
Perfect 100 points!
2018 Penfolds Quantum Bin 98 Cabernet Sauvignon...$659.99
Muscle and grace delineate a wine that is making history in the footsteps of its forebear, Grange. Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (87%) and South Australian Shiraz (13%) are the building blocks of this multidimensional creation ten years in the making. Balanced and expressive, with recognizable accents of both the Southern and Northern hemispheres, it offers aromas of fresh dark berries, apple tart, and a touch of piquant spice, which lead to headier notes on the palate. Licorice, slate, and molasses pave a path with staying power. Plum preserves and a twist of basil, cigar leaf, and hazelnut determine the lengthy, exhilarating finish
Rated 100/100 Somm Journal - PERFECT!
The first release of this new iconoclastic label, the 2018 Quantum Bin 98 is labeled as a "Wine of the World," although the AVA is the United States and technically 87% is American wine (Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley), while 13% is Australian ("Grade A1" Shiraz from South Australia). The wine spent 16 months in oak, 100% new, 80% American oak and 20% French. In fact, the wine is made very much like Grange, in that it completes fermentation in new, mainly American oak barrels.

New Riff Balboa Bottled in Bond Kentucky Rye
Limited release - releasing some online right now while it lasts
New Riff Balboa Bottled in Bond Kentucky Rye...$53.99
In addition to our flagship New Riff Bourbon and Rye, our distilling team has stretched their creative muscles over the years, producing a number of what we call "specialty whiskeys". Balboa Rye is one of the first specialties we made. Our corn farmer Charles Fogg has been growing heirloom rye on his family's farm for many years. His chosen variety was Balboa rye, an heirloom grain which dates back to the 1940s as a rye variety popular in Indiana. He offered it to us and we distilled it into rye whiskey, probably the first time in decades that Balboa has been made into whiskey and quite surely the only example on the market today.
Now it has grown up in the barrel! Typical of heirloom rye, the Balboa grain is a little smaller than modern varieties, with a lower output per acre of planting -- but it's no less flavorful for that! Our Balboa Rye whiskey offers shimmering notes of spiced fruit unique from our flagship New Riff Rye.

The 2019 Pinot Meunier is expressive and detailed. It has a medium ruby color and aromas of wild red and black berries, orange peel, pipe tobacco, iodine and leather. The 2019 Chardonnay The Eyrie, matured in just 11.5% new oak, is expressive and singular, offering an alluring dynamic of ripe, spicy fruit and savory bass tones. 2019 Montevertine Le Pergole Torte - 3 liter
Super Rare Le Pergole Torte giant 3 Liter!
Comes in its own wooden box
Only 1 available!
2019 Montevertine Le Pergole Torte.....$899.99 / 3 liter
Holding back initially, this wine simply needs more time in bottle, and I have adjusted the drinking window accordingly. The 2019 Le Pergole Torte is a long-term proposition showing initial stirrings of tart cherry fruit, plum, licorice, tobacco and crushed stone. There is a pretty floral tone of violet or rosemary flower even now. Winemaking takes this special selection of 100% Sangiovese though cement and Allier and Slavonian oak. The balanced acidity stands out nicely. There are 29,000 bottles of the 2019 vintage, and I recommend you put yours in the cellar for five to 10 more years.
Rated 97/100 The Wine Advocate
The 2019 Le Pergole Torte is all class and refinement. At the same time, the 2019 is quite reticent at this stage. In this tasting, the Pergole Torte comes across as more refined and aromatically expressive than the Montevertine, with lovely brightness driving the red berry fruit. Elegant and sophisticated, the 2019 is a wine to treasure for the next several decades. Time in the glass brings out the floral upper register and red Sangiovese fruit of Pergole Torte.

2013 Paolo Scavino Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata Riserva
2013 Paolo Scavino Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata Riserva...$379.99 / 1.5 liter
Rare Magnum
The 2013 Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata Riserva was released in January of 2019, and once again it looks to be a top prize. Licorice and flowers dominate the bouquet, and its beautiful red fruit is generous throughout. This wine has always been a beauty and consistently has had a high price tag to reflect that quality, going back to the first vintages of the 1990s. It has regularly sold for about $200 every year for the last decade. These vines are old, some of them very old (reaching the ripe age of 60 years old in 1990s, when many of them were replanted with carefully selected clones), producing an elegance and concentration that brings intensity and a high standard of aromas. This Barolo without a doubt shows its pedigree and a quality of noble perfumes that demonstrate characteristics of the greatest Nebbiolo vintages, all delivered with excellent concentration. The magic lingers on the palate, right up to the finish.
Rated 97/100 The Wine Advocate
This is high-strung and linear, showing precision to its cherry, strawberry, graphite, tobacco and grassy aromas and flavors. Firms up, yet exhibits finesse and complexity on the lingering aftertaste. Still needs time in the bottle, or decant a few hours before enjoying.

The Innkeeper’s Blend pays homage to the Dedman family’s century-plus history in the hospitality industry, as previous owners of the famed Beaumont Inn on Kentucky’s Bourbon Trail. The Innkeeper’s Blend mouthfeel is viscous and rich, moving from caramel sweetness on the front, to ripe red fruit in the middle, finishing with a light, peppery spice.
2XO, Two Times Oak, is a new whiskey brand from renowned blender Dixon Dedman. 2XO is a unique blending process where Dixon re-barrels his hand-selected whiskey into new charred oak barrels to create a unique combination of intense flavors, character, and complexity. Each blend is limited, one-of-a-kind and has its own story.

2012 Quinta da Romaneira LBV Por
2012 Quinta da Romaneira LBV Port...$19.99
The 2012 Late Bottled Vintage Port is a traditional LBV, unfiltered and classic. Romaneira does a fine job with this category. It is a go-to producer for fine LBVs. Its elegant 2012 is lovely, with expressive and seemingly rich fruit. For all of the initial impression of richness, the fruit is nicely supported and well defined. It seems fresh, with finesse, too. It is graced with velvet for texture and finishes with hints of chocolate, baked strawberry and herbs. If it seems light and understated on opening, that is misleading. It puts on weight and shows its power with aeration. The backbone is impressive. Real steel comes out as this sits in the glass and tightens. Four days later, it was still expressive and intense, both in flavor and power. The fruit was gorgeous at that point. Overall, it was much improved. It is not the most concentrated-ever LBV, but it has more than enough. It is actually on the impressive side there, in the context of the vintage. It should have the wherewithal to improve over the next decade and drink well for 20+ years. It is approachable now, but a couple of years in the cellar would help it. It is a terrific value.
