Talisker Distillers Edition

Talisker Distillers Edition 2014 Single Malt Scotch....$69.99
Distilled: 2003
Bottled: 2014
Double Matured in Amoroso Cask Wood
Distillers Edition
The Distillers Edition is unique: after its usual aging process in American oak casks, the whisky undergoes a second maturation in casks previously holding sherry. The result is older, sweeter and richer than the regular bottlings.

New Oban Little Bay Single Malt Scotch

1 per person at this time, to let more people get a chance to try it.

Oban Little Bay Single Malt Whisky...$74.99
"Oban 'Little Bay' Single Malt Whisky distilled in small batches and slowly finished in our smallest casks"

Oban Distillers Edition

Another limited release that does not last long!

Oban Distillers Edition Double Matured....$85.99
Distilled in 1999

Bottled in 2014

Each Distillers Edition expression undergoes a second (or ‘double’) maturation in casks that have previously held a fortified wine.
The founders of Oban distillery were entrepreneurs who imported and exported goods for which they could sense a demand. They would have approved of the Spanish influence brought to bear in this Montilla Fino cask wood finish.
A seriously complex whisky of the highest order – a glorious zesty nose and plenty of sweet fruit complemented by salt and chewy, roasty caramel malt.

Highland Park limited - 30 Year old Single Malt

Very limited - only 1 bottle in stock now!
Highland Park 30 Year Old Single Malt....$599.99
30 years ago, our master distiller decided to lay down the casks that would go on to become the heart of this exceptional whisky and over these three decades, the whisky maturing inside them has developed an outstanding balance, with a seductive sweetness and extremely delicate smoke. Treating this whisky with respect will reward you with breath taking results: characteristic fudge sweetness comes together with complex aromatic spices and dark chocolate orange. It has a drying finish, leaving a gentle smoky flavour and an incredibly lengthy finish.

Dalla Valle Maya - limted

Available in 3 bottle Original Wood Cases
Very limited cult California Cabernet Sauvignon from the master of cult wine - Andy Erickson!
2011 Dalla Valle Maya...$369.99
The Dalla Valle vineyard proved its worth in the 2011 vintage, which was quite challenging in many parts of California. At several hundred feet above the valley floor, with a strict western exposure and very rocky soils, the vineyard literally stayed above the fray. The Maya blocks performed particularly well, delivering fruit with ripe tannins, aromatic intensity, and plenty of well-defined muscle. The final blend is 73% Cabernet Sauvignon and 23% Cabernet Franc.  Aromas and flavors of candied cherries, currant, black tea and cardamom come to the surface of this youthful wine. The mid-palate impression is generous, structured, and round, with bright red fruit and Asian spice flavors lingering on a very long finish. This is a wine that, while accessible now, will absolutely age well. -- The Winery

Andy Erickson, Winemaker
Andy has been instrumental in crafting some of Napa Valley’s very finest wines. As a fervent believer in terroir, his chief concern at Dalla Valle is to understand and maximize the unique qualities that allow this vineyard to produce truly special and authentic wines. He engages in every aspect of the process, from grape growing to bottling, working in tandem with Naoko and her team to maintain focus and strive for the pinnacle of quality.

"Andy Erickson, 40, was hired as winemaker at Napa Valley's Screaming Eagle in 2006...Erickson started his winemaking career at Harlan Estate and was then named winemaker at Staglin in 2001 before founding his own winery, Favia, in 2003 with his viticulturist wife, Annie Favia; in addition to his duties at Screaming Eagle and Favia, he is consulting winemaker for Hartwell, Ovid, Dancing Hares, Dalla Valle and Arietta in Napa and Jonata in the Santa Ynez Valley." -- Wine Spectator

Comte de Vogue Musigny V.V. Grand Cru

6 bottles in stock in OWC
2011 Comte de Vogue Musigny V.V. Grand Cru....$515 / net per bottle
The 2011 Musigny Vieilles Vignes shows wonderful energy in its expressive floral notes. Sweet red-hued fruit turns darker in the glass, but it is really the wine's energy that stands out most. Overall, this is a fairly mid-weight vintage for the Musigny deeply marked by its resonance and balance. The 2011 is perhaps a bit less epic than some recent versions, but it certainly delivers considerable pleasure. -- Antonio Galloni
Rated 95/100 Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

Tasting note: A remarkably attractively cool and restrained nose of various red berries, spice and a beautiful array of floral elements complements well the rich and equally cool mineral-tinged big-bodied and overtly muscular flavors. There is a really lovely sense of underlying tension on the clean and pure finish that delivers strikingly good length. This intensely mineral-driven effort is also clean and firm but with slightly better phenolic maturity to the supporting structural elements which should allow this beauty to age successfully for many years to come.

2011 Comte de Vogue Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru...$299.99
A big step up from the villages, the 2011 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru bursts from the glass with an exotic melange of dark red/blackish fruits. Graphite, rose petal, cinnamon and raspberry candy follow, adding notable dimension, complexity and nuance. I very much like the sense of energy and tension here. This is a terrific showing from de Vogüé. -Rated Rated 93/100 Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

(85% tempranillo and 15% graciano; aged for a year in a combination of French and American oak): Bright violet color. Highly aromatic scents of black and blue fruits, Indian spices and fresh flowers are complemented by a deeper note of candied licorice. Juicy and broad on the palate, with intense dark berry and floral pastille flavors that become spicier with aeration. Dusty tannins give shape to the clinging finish.90 points

2010 Bond Pluribus...$391.99
Only 1 bottle available

The 2010 Pluribus reveals classic notes of blueberry and mulberry fruit intermixed with hints of violets, incense and licorice. The striking aromatics are followed by a full-bodied, dense, supple-textured, multidimensional wine that should drink well for 25-30 years.
Rated 97/100 The Wine Advocate

2010 Bond Vecina...$391.99

Only 1 bottle
Another wine flirting with perfection is the 2010 Vecina, the nearby neighbor of Harlan Estate on the western hills overlooking the Oakville Corridor, and further south, Yountville. A Graves-like effort, it displays notes of burning embers, scorched earth, creme de cassis, and charcoal. Primordial, dense, rich, full-bodied, masculine and backward, this is another example of a wine built for half a century of cellaring. Forget it for 7-10 years and watch the pleasure unfold thereafter.
Rated 99/100 The Wine Advocate

2010 Bond Quella....SOLD OUT
The 2010 Quella is a candidate for perfection. From the lower foothills of Pritchard Hill, it offers up notes of charcoal, graphite, espresso and copious quantities of blueberry and black raspberry liqueur, along with distinctive minerality, a full-bodied mouthfeel, moderately high tannins, gorgeous richness and a long, moderately tannic finish. Forget it for five years and drink it over the following three decades.
Rated 98/100 The Wine Advocate
Rated 97/100 James Suckling

2010 Bond St. Eden...

From the valley floor, the 2010 St. Eden exhibits copious notes of creme de cassis, loamy, dusty soil undertones, forest floor, toasty oak and plenty of sweet tannin in its full-bodied, massive personality. Again, these wines are not meant for near-term gratification, so 5-6 years of cellaring is warranted. This is another 30-year wine from Bond.

Craft facts
The rich palate of the 18 Year Old is the result of a combination of several different cask types.
The Glenlivet Master Distiller Alan Winchester has a wealth of quality casks to choose from when creating this complex expression, with American and European Oak, first and second fill, all playing their parts.
European Oak imparts spicy hints and brings additional complexity.
First-fill American Oak adds tropical fruitiness.
