"Under the helm of Erwan Faiveley and Bernard Hervet since 2005, Domaine Faiveley is on a tear.  With its winemaking duo of technical director Jêrome Flous in the Côte d'Or and manager Julien Bordet in Côte Chalonnaise, Faiveley has made some of the best young wines I have tasted from the 2010, 2011 and 2012,."

---Bruce Sanderson The Wine Spectator
We have received and amazing allocation of Domaine Faiveley's outstanding 2012 Burgundies. Yields were tiny but quality was amazing.

2012 Faiveley Corton Clos des Cortons Faiveley ...$219.99
Bright, deep red. Deep aromas of black cherry, crushed rock and graphite. Dense, sappy and energetic, offering outstanding depth to its soil-driven black cherry and saline flavors. Delivers an uncanny combination of chewy texture and verve. Finishes with palate-staining length and lift, as tactile as a solid. A great vin de terroir for the cellar

Rated 93-96/100 Wine Spectator
Rated 93-96/100 Stephen Tanzer

2012 Faiveley Nuits-St.-Georges Les Porêts St.-Georges...$89.99
Good medium red. Aromas of black cherry, menthol and sweet oak, lifted by topnotes of rose petal and violet. A step up in flavor and depth from the foregoing Nuits samples, showing lovely cut and lift to the perfumed flavors of sweet black cherry and menthol. At once chewy and refined, finishing with ripe tannins, attractive salinity and lingering perfume. Rated 91-94/100 The Wine Spectator
Rated 91-94/100 Stephen Tanzer

2012 Faiveley Gevrey Chambertin Les Cazetiers...$115.99
Good full, medium red. Dark raspberry, smoke, game and leather on the nose, plus a suggestion of medicinal reserve. Supple and quite concentrated but youthfully closed, showing a saline minerality but limited sweetness today
Rated 92-95/100 The Wine Spectator

2012 Faiveley Chambolle Musigny Les Charmes...$139.99
Good bright red. Complex nose melds red berries, cardamom, flowers and soil tones. Ripe, smooth and lightly saline, with an earthy complexity giving this wine much more flavor interest than the Beaux-Bruns. In a rather feminine style, finishing with ripe tannins and subtle length.
Rated 91-94/100 The Wine Spectator
Rated 90-93/100 Stephen Tanzer

2012 Faiveley Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru...$219.99
From tank. Rich, powerful and fragrant, showing cherry, black currant, licorice, earth and spice flavors. Firm and dense, if reticent now, though vibrant and long.
Rated 92-95/100 The Wine Spectator
Rated 91-94/100 Stephen Tanzer

2012 Faiveley Clos de Myglands Mercurey...$39.99 / 750ml

2012 Faiveley Clos de Myglands Mercurey...$19.99 / 375ml
Bright medium red. Liqueur-like cherry and spices on the inviting nose. Dense and savory on the palate, with very good cut and saline complexity to the flavors of dark cherry, rose petal and spices. Finishes youthfully medicinal, persistent and perfumed, with excellent structure for Mercurey. The crop level here was about 40 hectoliters per hectare, or about 10% lower than usual, noted Bernard Hervet.
Rated 89-92/100 Wine Spectator

2012 Faiveley Nuits St George Les Damodes...$97.99
Bright dark red. Captivating precision to the aromas of flowers, crushed stone, chocolate and cardamom. Sweet, silky and smooth but with excellent energy to the dense berry and spice flavors. Still a bit youthfully tight but spreads out impressively on the long, perfumed finish. This weightless wine leaves the salivary glands quivering
Rated 91-93/100 Stephen Tanzer

Blackthorn Hard Cider

Years ago, this used to be one of the few hard ciders available in St. Louis.  We have not seen in years.  Back finally.....

Blackthorn Hard Cider....$8.99 / 4pk Cans
One of the country’s best known and widely drunk ciders, it’s heart is in the West Country where it’s affectionately known as ‘Thorn’. Exactly why it’s called Blackthorn® is shrouded in mystery.

CIDER APPLES MAKE THE DIFFERENCE
Only cider apples are used in the making of Blackthorn®. We think using cider apples help make the best tasting cider. They have the right balance of sugar and tannins to create the best flavour.

BITTERSWEET APPLES
We use a good number of ‘Bittersweet’ cider apples in our blend. Bittersweet cider apples have low acid levels and high tannins – the perfect combination for the crisp dry taste of Blackthorn®.

Jack Daniels Winter

Jack Daniels Winter Jack Tennessee Cider....$16.99
Jack Daniel’s Winter Jack is a seasonal blend of apple cider liqueur, Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey and holiday spices. It is based on an original family recipe from Jack’s home in Lynchburg, Tennessee. When it’s cold outside and snow is falling, our heartwarming Tennessee Cider should be enjoyed with friends and family.
Winter Jack is best served warm. Once heated, it has an inviting aroma of warm apple cider, orange peel, cinnamon, clove and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey. The taste is reminiscent of apple pie complemented with Tennessee Whiskey and seasonal spices, with a finish of toasted oak and vanilla.

Newcastle / Caledonian Brewery Collaboration

Newcastle Collaboration Edition

Newcastle / Caledonian Brewery Collaboration....$7.99 / 6pk
Scotch Ale is a classic brew that originated in Edinburgh, Scotland in the 18th Century.   Rich, full-flavoured and fulfilling, our Scotch Ale is a blend of malts with toffee notes and a mellow hop.   The beauty of this style is its fulsome malt character that is simply mouth watering.

Bone Dry Gin

Bone Dry London Dry Style Gin....$28.99
"Winston Churchill liked gin Martinis,  and he liked to drink them Bone Dry.  Legend has it that when supplies of French Vermouth ran short during World War II, Churchill would respectfully bow in the direction of France while mixing his martini, counting that as the vermouth in his drink.
Bone Dry is a London Style gin reminding its patrons of a classic era of cocktails.  It is a gin to be sipped slowly and savored--even with a little vermouth--over a great conversation or conspiring to win your world.  Please enjoy responsibly." -- label

"Brown Shugga' Substitute"
This sad holiday season we didn’t have the brewing capacity to make our favorite seasonal brew, the widely feared BrownShugga’ Ale. You see we had a couple of really good years (thank you very much) and so heading into this season while we are awaiting the January delivery of a new brewhouse we are jammin’ along brewing 80 barrels of IPA and PILS and such every 3 hours. A couple of months back we realized that since we can only brew a mere 60 barrels of Shugga’ every 5 hours, that we were seriously screwed. For every case of Shugga’ brewed, we’d short 3 cases of our favorite daily beers. It’s a drag. This year, we brewed something that we think is also cool and brews more like our daily brews. The new brewhouse will help insure this kind of failure never happens again. It’s a mess that we can not brew our BrownShugga’ this year and we suck for not doing it. There is nothing cool about screwing this up this badly and we know it. Maybe we can sue our own sorry selves. There is no joy in our hearts this holiday and the best we can hope for is a quick and merciful end. F*@& us. This totally blows. Whatever. We freaking munch moldy donkey butt and we just want it to be all over...
So this substitute beer is a ‘Cereal Medley’ of Barley, Rye, Wheat, and Oats…. Full of complexishness from the 4 grains, and weighing in at 7.85% abv, Then joyously dry-hopped for that big aroma and resinous hop flavor.

Bone Snapper Rye Whiskey 108 proof

Bone Snapper Rye Whiskey...$29.99
Bone Snapper Rye Whiskey is a straight-forward rye made in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. It is distilled from a mash of 95% rye, 5% malt, and limestone-filtered water drawn from the deep aquifers underneath Southern Indiana. It is put into barrel at just under 120 proof and aged for 24 months in new American oak barrels.
Once the whiskey is ready, 20 barrels are selected to be batched together – truly a small batch – and fresh water is added to bring the proof down to a potent 108 proof. This takes the sharp edges off the whiskey while maintaining its full flavor and power.
Bone Snapper is bottled without chill filtration and hand labeled to let you know which batch you’re lucky enough to sip.

New Uncut Bourbon

Backbone Bourbon Uncut - Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Backbone Uncut Straight Bourbon Whiskey....$44.99
Backbone Bourbon is a true uncut whiskey. Its quality comes from its youthful vigor and the purity of tasting a barrel strength whiskey. This whiskey is distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and is bottled in small batches in Bardstown, Kentucky.
Backbone Bourbon is meant to be sipped and savored. It was developed with the discerning bourbon drinker in mind. Many bourbons available on the market today are “cut” with water to a specific proof. This is done for good reason but we feel that a good part of the whiskey's character is lost during this process. Bourbon matures in oak barrels and takes years to evolve. During this time, it develops character. It is molded by the quality of ingredients and the barrel in which it was aged. We feel this is the backbone of the whiskey and we want to preserve this originality and purity.

We also want to give consumers the choice of how strong they want to drink their bourbon. We recommend adding water or ice blocks to get it to your desired level of strength. But more than just a sipper, Backbone makes an ideal ingredient for the increasing number of cocktails using Bourbon as an anchor spirit.

To have backbone means to have “strength of character and resolution”. Backbone Bourbon is a strong and flavorful bourbon that should be enjoyed carefully and responsibly.

The Bitter Truth Golden Falernum

Bitter Truth Golden Falernum....$35.99 / 750ml
A coconut doesn’t grow on a pumpkin vine and »The Bitter Truth – Golden Falernum Liqueur« doesn’t forget it’s a rum liqueur. This Falernum is gold in color, taste and texture, but never one note, it is a calypso of flavor. On the nose are clean wet flip flop, seashell and ginger with just a hint of christmas. The taste carnivals from fresh ginger to vanilla and almond, surfing towards an atomic fireball. All spice giving into a splash of lime and a delicate hint of Bajan sweet pepper sauce-like heat. With length that feels like a two week holiday, this little number can perk up any aged spirit and instantly turn it into a drink worthy of adorn- ment with a plastic monkey and a paper umbrella.

»The Bitter Truth – Golden Falernum Liqueur« is an exotic spiced liqueur on the base of the finest Caribbean Rum. In ancient Rome Falernum was the name of the most favoured and most expensive wine. Modern Falernum has almost nothing in common with its ancient predecessor except its rich golden tint. This sweet liqueur was usually flavoured with limes, almonds, cloves and ginger, and gained in importance during the tiki era in the middle of the 20th century.

With an ABV of 18 % Golden Falernum is a very distinctive feature among its category. The full-bodied Caribbean Rum which is used as a base supports the complex exotic flavour profile composed of spicy ginger, citrus fruits, almonds and allspice. This Falernum can be sipped neat or on ice but it also goes well with aged spirits like Whisk(e)y, Rum and Brandy. And of course it’s an indispensable ingredient in numerous Tiki Drinks.

Tasting Notes:
This rum based liqueur is rich and complex in flavor.
Nose: Spicy ginger with clove and a hint of vanilla.
Taste: A more subtle ginger, followed by almond and vanilla. An allspice tingle on the tongue develops into a long finish with a zest of lime.

Bitter Truth Tonic Bitters

The Bitter Truth Tonic Bitters....$19.99 / 200ml

The combination of grapefruit, Sicilian lemon, lime and Seville oranges merge perfectly with hints of juniper berries, orris root and Japanese green tea leaves. »The Bitter Truth – Tonic Bitters« are perfect for cocktails and long drinks based on clear spirits.
Tasting Notes:
Exotic notes of citrus and spice, balanced by a grassy-fresh Japanese green tea bouquet. Backed up with herbal notes from juniper berries, coriander seeds and maze.

Charbay Whiskey Release III....$369.99
5 STARS/HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION -"A complete oak-aged spirit that's majestic and unique." - Spirit Journal

"What if?" In 1999, Miles and Marko became fascinated by the idea of distilling bottle-ready beer into whiskey - a first in the whiskey industry.

They soon embarked on an amazing 3.5 weeks of distilling 24/7 in the family's classic Alambic Charentais Pot Still. It took 20,000 gallons of great Pilsner to create just 1000 gallons (24 barrels) of Whiskey.

Charbay Whiskey was made from European Two-Row Barley, grown and malted in British Columbia, which has much more concentrated flavors than the more mainstream 6-row barley. Made into beer by professional brewers. Choice hops were added just before distillation to create the floral and spice notes that Marko envisioned in his mind. No peat was used during malting; our brewers, as well as Marko and Miles, the distillers, prefer to focus on the pure grain and hops flavors.

Aged 6 years in new American White Oak barrels (charred #3 'Gator skin') and an additional 8 years in netural vessels to continue evolving without additional oak extraction.

Tasting Notes: Aromas of caramel and vanilla lead to maple sysrup, vanilla, cinnamon, leather & tobacco. Lush, full mouthfeel and lingering finish.
Serving Suggestions: Enjoy room temperature neat, with a splash of spring water or a spring water ice cube.

94 Wine Enthusiast - Editor's Choice
#7 Wine in the World for 2014 - Wine Enthusiast

Tasting notes
This is bone dry Riesling made in a sort of Alsatian manner. With German clones. Dry. Tasty. Seriously Versatile. Put all kinds of lovely vittles into your face with it and explore what Riesling can do. Smells like apple, peach and pear decorated with delicate flowers, honey and spice. Not surprising to catch a whiff of petrol as it matures. Tastes like tree fruits, citrus and a touch of the tropics, maybe even a little hot slate. Dry, rich, bright, spicy and lengthy. Put it right inside your face.

Brew nº2: Cognac

This complex beer was brewed in cognac barrels that have contained cognac for at least 40 years. You will experience a mild alcohol aroma that is balanced by vanilla overtones coming from the wood and a fresh fruitiness reminiscent of apricots. The mouthfeel is velvety with flavors of honey coming through with every sip.

Barrels:  provenance: family distilery Clos de Nancrevant, situated in Chanier (France)

contained cognac for at least 40 years.

Brew nº3: Madeira
This beer is comparable with the beer aged in the Armagnac barrels, however the aroma is much more subtle. You can experience a mild alcoholic aroma, with a balanced flavour of vanilla, coming from the wood, and a fresh fruitiness reminiscent of apricot. Tasting this will give you a velvety taste, the honey like sweetness masks the degree of alcohol. The aftertaste is dominated by almond so the comparison with Amaretto isn't far away. In short, the perfect dessert beer!
Barrels:  provenance: Madeira (Portugal)

Brew nº5: Sherry
The different flavors of this beer are manifested in a sublime order to achieve a harmonious yet complex taste sensation.
Besides the instantly recognizable dry sherry flavor there also is room for the fresh and spicy scents of vegetative raw celery and a green pepper character. This follows in subtle fruity aromas of peach and candied apricot, with an undertone of tea extracts. Finished with a nutty touch, reminiscent of broken walnuts. The mainly fresh flavors that make up the smell of the beer are masterfully supported by more robust flavors. In the flavor we can find the typical duality of balsamic, compromise between sweet and sour, and finally conclude with a notion of liquorice. But this story is not over; the aftertaste brings a perfect marriage between alcohol warming and soothing sweetness.

Barrels: provenance: Spain - Jerez
