New Bourbon - Rated 96/100 Tasting Panel

Taste it today at Forsyth from 11am- 3pm  (January 10th, 2015)

Bib and Tucker 6 year Old Bourbon Batch #1....$44.99

During America’s rough and tumble early days, the term “bib & tucker” was used to describe your finest attire, the kind you’d wear to a wedding or special dance. Along those same lines of thinking, we’re putting forth our finest. BIB & TUCKER is a delightfully smooth bourbon sporting notes of chestnut, and it’s crafted with a sense of dedication that can only come when you know you’re making something truly special.

BIB & TUCKER leads with a strong vanilla scent along with fresh cut sweet grass, wet stone and old leatherbound books. With a smooth entry, the bourbon is nicely balanced with a hint of sweetness. It fulfills the promise of its nose before evolving into a warm, lightly crisp, spicy sensation. BIB & TUCKER lingers in the mouth with a complex, yet balanced chestnutty taste.

“the six-year-aged bourbon has a nose of antiques, new saddle leather, chamomile-soaked butterscotch dropsand warm cinnamon-kissed cedar.”

Our mix is incredibly versatile and contains only the finest natural ingredients, perfectly blended for a wide range of cocktails.

Ingredients: Filtered Water, Cane Sugar, Lemon Juice from Concentrate, Citric Acid, Natural Lemon Extract, Lime Juice from Concentrate, Natural Lime Extract, Natural Orange Extract, Salt, Ascorbic Acid, Natural Color from Fruit and Berries.

So Tier 2xPresso - Milk Stout with Espresso

Southern Tier 2xPresso...$8.99 / 6pk
Espresso is a drink that is not for the faint of heart. Pulling a perfect shot is as much a science as it is an art form. Come to think of it, the same can be said for brewing beer. Of course, both coffee and beer have certain, shall we say ‘uplifting’ qualities. Combine the two is a natural progression.

Our 2xStout is considered by many to be a perfect milk stout. We started with that in mind, and added espresso beans and lemon peels for a true Italian style pick-me-up. The result is a stout so black, so rich, so creamy, it’d be at home in a café along a cobblestone street in some neighborhood in Rome. Yet, it’s beer.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Smoked poultry, buttery aged cheeses, shortbread cookies and cheesecakes, organic vanilla ice cream.

Bittermilk No.1 Bourbon Barrel Aged Old Fashoned...$12.99

We've recreated this gentlemen's cocktail by using classic bittering agents like gentian root and cinchona bark along with burnt sugar, spices and a bit of orange peel. Aged in Willett bourbon barrels to allow the flavors to come together and ramp up the intensity. It is super concentrated so just a little goes a long way. Best with aged spirits. Stir 1 part No.1 + 4 parts Rye in a glass with ice.
INGREDIENTS
Burnt Organic Cane Sugar, Demerara Sugar Water, Orange Oleo Saccharum (Organic Orange Peel, Organic Cane Sugar), Spices, Organic Gentian Root, Cinchona Bark, Tartaric Acid

Bittermilk No.2 Tom Collins with Elderflower and Hops...$12.99
Not just your grandma's Tom Collins, we've made a refreshing Collins with floral and citrus notes. Using Centennial hops as the bittering agent prized for it's aggressive floral characteristics. Mixes best with light spirits. Build equal parts No.2 + Gin or Vodka in a glass with lots of ice, top with soda water.
INGREDIENTS
Organic Lemon Juice, Water, Organic Cane Sugar, Natural Extract of Elderflower and Elderberry, Centennial Hops

Bittermilk No.3 Smoked Honey Whiskey Sour...$12.99 / 17oz
We've revived this old classic by smoking honey over bourbon barrel staves. Bitter orange peel and lemon make for a slightly tart and smoky cocktail. Honey adds a nice frothy head when shaken vigorously. Mixes best with bourbon but swap it out for tequila to make a slightly smoky Honey Margarita. Shake equal parts Bittermilk No.3 + Whiskey with heavy amounts of ice.
INGREDIENTS
Organic Lemon Juice, Water, Bourbon Barrel Smoked Organic Honey, Organic Cane Sugar, Orange Oleo Saccharum (Organic Orange Peel, Organic Cane Sugar)

Bittermilk No.4 New Orleans Style Old Fashioned Rouge...$12.99 / 8.5oz

Our Old Fashioned Rouge is strong and bittersweet packed with licorice and spice. Wormword, fennel, and gentian root imply flavors of absinthe and bitters. A traditional coloring technique using Cochineal, a red beetle from Peru gives this Old Fashioned it's "Rouge" naturally. Aged in Willet Family Reserve Rye Whiskey barrels. Add 1 part No.4 + 4 parts rye, stir with ice, strain into a rocks glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
INGREDIENTS
Organic Cane Sugar, Water, Organic Lemon Peel, Spices, Wormwood, Gentian Root, Tartaric Acid, Cochineal (Red Beetle)

Bittermilk No.5 Charred Grapefruit Tonic....$12.99 / 17oz
Not your typical tonic, the No.5 combines lime and lemon juice with cinchona bark, the source of quinine for tonic. We peel fresh grapefruits and char the skins to help bring out bitter yet refreshing notes. Just a bit of local Bulls Bay Saltworks sea salt helps pull savory caramel notes and rounds out flavor. Works well with any light spirit. Build over ice equal parts No.5 + vodka + soda water in a tall glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
INGREDIENTS
Organic Lime and Lemon Juices, Organic Cane Sugar, Charred Grapefruit Peel, Cinchona Bark, Spices, Sea Salt, Hibiscus

Bittermilk No. 6 Oaxacan Old Fashioned...$12.99 / 8.5oz
No. 6 Oaxacan Old Fashioned. Pronounced “weh-HAH-ken,” the product’s flavors are strong and bittersweet with Old Fashioned spices and chiles. No. 6 is a celebration of the flavors of Oaxaca, Mexico using dried Mexican chilies, cocoa nibs and spices, sweetened with raisins and aged with cocoa husks from French Broad Chocolates in Asheville, NC. The Oaxacan is best mixed with mezcal, the source of inspiration for the mixer. Stir 1 part mixer to 4 parts Mezcal with ice. Garnish with a lime twist.
INGREDIENTS
Organic Cane Sugar, Organic Raisins, Lemon Peel, French Broad Chocolate Cocoa Nibs & Fines, Dried Chiles, Spices, Cinchona Bark, Tartaric Acid

Santa Fe Black IPA!

New!

Santa Fe Black IPA...$9.49 / 6pk CANS
This Black IPA transcends style. The idea is simple, but the flavor is complex. It is everything you want in a great IPA, but with a little bit of chocolate. The crisp, dry punch of hops leaves you wondering how this beer has such a balanced flavor. The secret is Midnight Wheat. Aromas of passion fruit, citrus, and pine cut their way through the dark malts to both titillate and challenge the senses. The dry finish and dark ebony color are distinctive characteristics for this winter seasonal and make for a smooth and approachable beer for the masses.

While Robert Parker is still seen by many as the King of Wine Critics and The Wine Spectator still has the largest readership of any wine publication, many new wine critics have popped up or branched out over the last couple of years. In fact, Robert Parker's one time protege, Antonio Galloni, and former Editor of the Wine Spectator, James Suckling, have recently started their own publications. In this tasting we will taste 6 wines rated highly by at least one publication but quite differently by another and let you be the judge.
