Cornalin 100%
Organically grown
Made from 100% Cornalin, which is a widely planted indigenous variety of the Valle d’Aosta, the 2016 Valle d’Aosta Cornalin offers a more transparent character as well as a Nebbiolo-like style in its cherry, crushed rocks, spice , and floral aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, fresh, lively, and with obvious minerality, drink it over the 4-5 years.
Rated 90/100 Jeb Dunnuck

Cultivated in Valle d'Aosta (and Switzerland)....a very demanding grape in terms of heat and brightness, it is characteristic of the central valley. The most suitable slope is undoubtedly the orographic left, but at not too high altitude and with adequate exposure it gives very interesting wines on the opposite side.
Color: deep ruby red, with purple red.
Nose: very intense, characterized by spicy notes

Taste: dry, soft, rich in important but velvety tannins. Exquisite when savored at the right maturity. The good body of enveloping tannins, make it a good companion for many important dishes of the Valdostana cuisine.

Thanks to the great professionalism combined with the use of high quality organic grapes and the use of the best technologies, the Cave Des Onze Communes now boasts the production of 18 strictly DOC wines (denomination of controlled origin) "Valle d'Aosta", brand that designates renowned products, whose characteristics are connected to the natural environment in full compliance with a specific production specification.

If you can imagine the caramel, vanilla and fruity notes of Maker's Mark® turned all the way up, you'd have a pretty good idea of what Maker's Mark® Cask Strength is like. Of course, the best way to get to know it is to sample some for yourself. While the higher proof delivers a bold bourbon presence in cocktails, we recommend drinking this surprisingly smooth barrel-proof whisky neat, on the rocks or with a splash.

A long time coming.
For years, Bill Samuels, Jr., regularly scoffed at the notion of a barrel-proof Maker's

Grenache Sampler Pack

Grenache
"Grenache is the French name for the red grape known as Garnacha in Spain and Cannonau in Italy. Today, Grenache is the star of red blends in France's Southern Rhône Valley, reaching its pinnacle in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It is widely grown in Spain, where it's dominant in Priorat and a component of blends with Tempranillo in Rioja and other regions. Cannonau is one of the main grapes in Italy's Sardinia. It also has a growing presence in the New World, in places like California and Australia.
Grenache buds early but ripens late. It thrives in warm climates, and likes stony soils like gravel, as well as limestone, clay and sand. In Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the vineyards are studded with large, round stones called galets. The wines tend to have low to moderate acidity, and the berries can reach high sugar levels, resulting in relatively high-alcohol wines, but still retaining balance with vibrant fruit.
Grenache can vary widely in style, depending on where it's grown, but also what grapes it is blended with—Syrah and Mourvèdre are common partners. Generally, the wines show a mix of red and dark fruit, like cherry, raspberry and blackberry. They can have some spice, often manifested with black pepper and star anise notes, and also display pronounced dried-herb qualities, such as bay leaf and tobacco." -- Wine Spectator

Grenache icons
Southern Rhône: Château de Beaucastel, Henri Bonneau, Clos des Papes, Domaine du Pégaü, Château Rayas, Domaine St.-Préfert
Priorat: Celler Mas Doix, Clos Mogador, Álvaro Palacios, Vall Llach

Mount Fishtail Sauvignon Blanc Sur Lie

Mount Fishtail - order online now
Three Brooms - order onine now

Stunning new vintage!!  Sur Lie method and lower yields.  Great bottle!

2020 Mount Fishtail Sauvignon Blanc Sur Lie...$14.99
Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
Made Sur Lie method - Sancerre style
Aromas of feijoa, kiwifruit and rock melon flavors with a lovely lemon zest overtone. It’s intense and concentrated with classic varietal characters combined with refreshing acidity, offering terrific drinking. Beautiful (slightly creamy) middle palate texture that sits flush on your palate, but does not compromise acidity. An elegant style that leaves a lasting
impression. -- winemaker tasting notes

Winemaker Notes: Given the boring nature of this category, the decision was made to take Kiwi SB in a new direction. Harvested in the cool of the morning & softly pressed. Fermented slowly in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures to preserve the elegant & refined Sauvignon Blanc aromas. Lees aging (4-6 months) prior to bottling has developed mid-palate weight, adding to the wine’s intense fruit characters. This Sur Lie process is the same as that employed in Sancerre and Bordeaux and has made the world of difference, qualitatively. Interestingly, new clonal material from Bordeaux has also been recently planted, and the fruit from this is now being incorporated in the wine, giving it more complexity and layers than most Marlborough SB’s which are made with Clone UCD1. Yields have been dropped as well – to below 5 tons/acre (less than half the average for the region).
