What does it Taste Like?

The Pathfinder tastes like an amaro, that fine class of European liquors known for bittersweet flavors rounded out by citrus and spice, and can be used as a flavorful substitute for amaro, whiskey, or vermouth.

What happens when I drink it?

This miraculous elixir, like the hemp plant itself, has no pyschoactive effects, yet contains enough vitamin E, antioxidants, and other nutrients, to go favorably hand-in-hand with a balanced diet. And since there's no alcohol in The Pathfinder, it won't give you a hangover, either.

How to drink it?

In drinks, it's recommend Hemp & Root in a signature spritz recipe, but it can also be taken as a shot, sipped neat, served on the rocks, or used to modify a multitude of classic cocktails. In other words, it fits right into your home bar cart.

Sunrises is a collaboration with our lovely friends at Sante Adairius Rustic Ales. We brewed a lager and then experimented as we did as homebrewers with a precise matrix of Brettanomyces strains as we aged the beer in French Oak Barrels. After 12 months in oak, we wove in threads of Oude Fermier, Home, and Sunsets to push this lager / ale hybrid toward our individual Saison flavor profiles. Sunrises was bottle conditioned for 4 months with cultures from both breweries before sharing with you.

Salud crosses the boundary between natural wine and Missouri Saison. In the process of orange wine, we aged a Missouri Table Saison on the skins of Vidal Blanc grapes letting the natural microflora of the grapes to influence the direction of the beer. At maturity in oak, a Missouri Saison aged on Peaches was blended in before letting the beer condition in the bottle for several months

TASTING NOTES

A robust dose of mango, passion fruit, and pear is added to our farmhouse ale and imparts overtones of a tropical riesling cocktail. The explosive fruit mouthfeel is luscious with hints of honeysuckle yet finishes silky smooth.

SECRET TECHNIQUE

After digesting all the malt sugars, our usually carnivorous farmhouse ale is fed a tropical cornucopia of mango, passion fruit, and pear juices. The post-fermentation tropical feast results in the final beer retaining a huge amount of juicy aromatics that would otherwise be lost if the fruit was added any earlier in the brewing process.

The 2018 Léoville-Barton is a gorgeous, exotic wine. Crème de cassis, lavender, menthol, licorice and cloves race out of the glass. The 2018 marries the natural opulence of the year with a pretty classic sense of structure, making for one of the more compelling wines of the year. I would give this a good decade in the cellar. There is much to look forward to. I especially admire the energy and poise here.
