"Many single malt Scotch whiskies distinguish between their expressions with an age statement, rightly proud of the long maturation their distillates have undergone.
At Balblair we have pursued a Vintage statement by which to differentiate our various expressions. In doing so, we take a complementary approach between age itself and the fundamental character of the spirit that is Balblair Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
The ageing process plays a significant role in the maturation of fine single malt Scotch whiskies. The interaction of the spirit with the oak barrels and the environment in which they are matured is fundamental to the character of the final distillate. However, over and above this, is the character of the spirit itself.
Every distillery is different. Its location. Its water source. Its still shape. Its wood policy. In fact, there are a myriad of variables. With Balblair we go one step further. Our Vintage whiskies are hand–picked, specially selected 'years' that represent the very best whisky the distillery has to offer.
Every year our Distillery Manager, John MacDonald selects only those whiskies that have reached their exact point of 'optimum maturation', the absolute peak of perfection.
The casks not selected, are simply not chosen because they have not yet reached their absolute best. They are left to quietly mature further in our warehouse.
In certain cases these Vintage releases may demonstrate pure Balblair characteristics, whilst others may highlight the effects that a single cask can have on this character." -- Balblair

anCnoc -- KnockDhu Distillery

anCnoc -- KnockDhu Distillery
(also available online)

In order to avoid confusion with a similarly named single malt, Knockando, the decision was made in 2000 to change the brand name to anCnoc, pronounced a-nock.
This is a Gaelic word meaning 'the hill'. This bestowed upon the whisky the rather intriguing distinction of no longer being named after the distillery which produces it.

"If you drink the whiskey that warmed General Washington’s troops at Valley Forge, does that make you a patriot? Not necessarily, but it indicates you appreciate that Michter’s sets the standard for highest quality, limited production whiskeys. America’s first whiskey distilling company, Michter’s rich history dates back to 1753 when a farmer in Schaefferstown, Pennsylvania distilled his first batch of whiskey from hardy rye. At one point a Master Distiller left his family’s well-known distillery to join Michter’s so he could be at a smaller, less cost-conscious company where he could make the finest whiskey, cost be damned. We continue this grand distilling tradition in Kentucky by never releasing our whiskeys until both our Master Distiller and our panel of whiskey tasters deem them ready. In fact, our whiskey is often much older than the age statement on the label. We are very grateful to our loyal customers who have lived with us though our time-to-time whiskey shortages." -- Michter's

John L. Sullivan Irish Whiskey

Small batch: aged in "single use" American Bourbon Barrels

John L. Sullivan Irish Whiskey...$19.99

"... is a special, small batch blend, aged 4 to 10 years in Single Use Bourbon Barrels. It consists of only the finest, individually selected barrels, pulled for their unique character detected during the aging process. John L. Sullivan is smooth, yet at the same time rich, complex & balanced. It is layered with hints of oak, vanilla, spice, citrus, malt, and honey. The finish is long and has a silky bourbon character from the barrels. This special bottling by the Cooley Distillery pays tribute to an Irish American legend & to all the descendents of the hard working Irish immigrants who came to America and helped to build it into the great nation it is today. Aging the whiskey in Single Use American Oak Bourbon Barrels, honors John L. Sullivan & the Irish immigrants, as they too were the ‘Product of Ireland’, but ‘Aged in America’."

Big Chimay Beer!

Chimay Trappist

They have recipes for both the beer and the cheese!
check out these great sounding recipes

"Covered with forests and pastures and crossed by numerous rivers, the countryside of Chimay has always been a livestock-rearing area. And dairy herds mean cheese! Since 1876, the Trappist monks of Scourmont have known the secrets of making this semi-hard cheese made from good milk from their farm and matured in the vaulted cellars of the abbey. Today, Chimay cheese is made exclusively with regional milk and the Trappist monks have modernised their production equipment. Technology has combined with tradition for the greater happiness of the connoisseur and Chimay cheese has adapted itself to high consumption whilst retaining its authenticity." -- Chimay

Chimay Cheese bathed in Trappist Ale
"The very personal preparation and maturing of this cheese make it an exclusive product. Its natural rind is bathed in Chimay Trappist beer so that its incomparable flavour flatters the palate and the nose." -- Chimay

The Beer
Chimay "Blue"
"Named Grande Réserve, it is principally distinguished by its character of a strong beer. This is a beer whose fragrance of fresh yeast with a light, flowery rosy touch is especially pleasant. Its flavour, noticed when tasting it, only accentuates the pleasant sensations perceived in the aroma , while revealing a light but pleasant touch of roasted malt. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised." -- Chimay

Chimay Blue 2007 Magnum
"If you think that Magnum is just a Chimay Blue in a 150 cl (51 fl.oz.) bottle, you are forgetting one essential fact, for it is important to appreciate that a large volume of beer affects the development of taste in the second fermentation of the beer in the bottle and gives it a fuller and smoother character. A vintage like its little sisters of 33 (11.2 fl.oz.) and 75 cl (25.4 fl.oz.), Magnum Grande Réserve may be conserved in dark conditions for several years. This is how the beer acquires a light and pleasant taste of port. Convivial and festive, the Magnum is a must for the connoisseur." -- Chimay

Dan Aykroyd's vodka...

Dan Aykroyd sells wine and now vodka...

Crystal Head Vodka....750ml
Now in 1.75ltr!!
Crystal Head Vodka 1.75 ltr
Same skull bottle, just a lot bigger. It looks awesome!!

"Thousands of years ago, thirteen crystal heads were scattered across the earth – and they are greater and more powerful than anything we have the ability to manufacture today. Their workmanship is perfect: they contain no tool marks and have been cut against the natural axis of the crystal, defying the laws of physics. Some say they are artifacts from the lost civilization of Atlantis, some say they date back to the Mayans, still others say they were created by a higher intelligence.
Brought together, the Crystal Heads are said to contain vast knowledge and enlightenment capable of unlocking our most enigmatic ancient mysteries. Alone, each is believed to house radiant psychic energy, which has magical powers and healing properties." -- distillery
