Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Proprietary Red Machete needs some swirling to reveal a core of beautiful crushed black plums, boysenberries and black cherry compote plus hints of cracked black pepper, garrigue and camphor. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is laden with muscular, crunchy black fruits and plush tannins, finishing long with lovely freshness. 22,563 cases were made.

The distillate used is GRAPE not grain, which makes this gin truly gluten-free, from start to finish.
Distillery name Xoriguer: “sho-ri-gair”. Each batch is crafted exclusively for the USA. The Juniper berries are sea-salt air aged for up to 4 years in open crates at the distillery, thus concentrating the flavors and delivering a smooth gin, without bitterness. Two of the wood-fired Alembic stills are 70+ years old, another is 125+ years old and the last one is 270 years old. The 270 year old still is 700 liters.

Welcome to our second offering of Nec Bones. 3000 lbs of Honey Fire Nectarines grown in our backyard of Paso Robles by the Rydell Family of Fair Hill Farms were once again chosen and delivered whole to Barrelworks Buellton. Once hand processed and pitted, the nectarines were added to our French Oak Foeder and topped up with a blend of 18-24 month old oak fermented propriety base beer. After aging one year on this fruit we added another 2000 lbs of fresh nectarine puree from Wawona Farms to the tank and let things ride for another 6 months, making this the most heavily fruited batch of Nec Bones to date.

MIND HAZE “TIKI SMASH” IPA
Tiki Smash IPA delivers a tiki-inspired flavor combination born of pure hops and freshly toasted coconut. Original Mind Haze hops including Azacca are now joined by Motueka and Sabro hops. The Azacca portion has been increased to amplify the sense of pineapple tropical character, while Sabro delivers its complementary coconut qualities. “We use an elaborate system to introduce freshly toasted coconut for a smooth, subtle extraction,” Matt says. “The resulting beer showcases the special synergy of natural coconut with the tropical hop flavors of Mind Haze.”

MIND HAZE “HOPICAL CRUSH” IPA
Hopical Crush IPA delivers a dry-hopped explosion of tropical Mai Tai-inspired flavors including pineapple and orange. This copiously hopped beer begins by accentuating the original Mind Haze hop blend with the Strata cultivar, which offers up bold pungent fruit and a touch of dank cannabis-like character. The beer is then dry hopped with twice the amount of hops than usual–ultimately totaling more than five pounds of hops per barrel. The resulting beer exhibits massive flavors that will have you dreaming of Mai Tais on a faraway island.

MIND HAZE “CITRUS CYCLONE” IPA
Citrus Cyclone IPA delivers a head-spinning taste of all the citrus flavors under the sun, finished with a kiss of real tangerine. The base beer is co-fermented with fresh California tangerines. This base is blended back with a separate lot of dry-hopped Mind Haze, then finished off with a final dash of tangerine to elevate the citrusy top note. Along the way, the Mandarina hop adds a distinctive orange character. The result is a remarkably refreshing Mind Haze experience.

INGREDIENTS
.5 parts Nixta Licor de Elote
2 parts Abasolo El Whisky de Mexico (also in stock now)
3 dashes Angostura® Bitters
Glassware: Rocks Glass
Garnish: Lemon and Orange Twist

DIRECTIONS
Add Nixta, Abasolo, and bitters to a mixing glass. Add ice and stir until cold and diluted. Zest citrus over rocks glass and add fresh ice. Strain drink into glass, roll zest into attractive curls and lay garnish atop the ice.
