Whiskey for Vets --- Art of the Spirits Distillery

Whiskey for Vets
Art of the Spirits Distillery is a Colorado Springs, Colorado based business that is accredited and licensed as well as locally owned and operated. Richard Paul, the Founder of Art of the Spirits Distillery, is a native of Denver, Colorado. Since 2014, Richard has put his knowledge, ingenuity, skill, and passion into creating and developing a unique whiskey brand that does not mass produce each release. Our primary focus is on cask strength, store picked barrels. Richard's extensive art background stems from 13+ years of working with world renowned artists, Danial James and David Uhl in Golden, Colorado (licensed artists under Uhl Studios by Harley-Davidson since 1993). Richard has discovered the unique elegance of pairing high-quality, limited-edition whiskey and limited-edition fine art. Art of the Spirits Distillery is the only brand in the world that showcases world renowned artists on their whiskey.

 142.7 proof-- Hazmat

Jacob's Pardon 18yr Small Batch American Whiskey Batch 03...$168.99
Brothers. Visionaries. Pioneers. Nearly two decades ago, Jacob's Pardon took a bold leap and barreled a whiskey with a mashbill of 99% corn and 1% malted barley. This daring experiment spent 18 long years maturing, allowing the corn to shine through over time and reveal the depth of its complexity. The result is Jacob's Pardon Small Batch Recipe #3, a light yet full-bodied American whiskey that showcases the brand's innovative spirit and dedication to crafting an authentic product. Produced by MGP.
NOSE: The whiskey is described as having aromas of caramel corn, black cherry, prune Danish, coupled with baking spices, clove, vanilla bean, and pipe tobacco fragrance.
PALATE: The palate bursts with flavors of caramel corn, black cherry, prune Danish, and a load of baking spices such as nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, and vanilla bean. A fragrance of pipe tobacco adds to the complexity.

Found North Hell Diver 15 Year Cask Strength

We are getting so many requests about this one....
We thought it was wise to announce how we will release it
....
We are releasing it next week!!
It will be through the WRC- emails will go out May 16th
We will base it on previous Found North support and TWCP Single Barrels over the last 6 months through May 15th

Found North Hell Diver 15 Year Cask Strength
First Flight
Hell Diver First Flight is the newest addition to our High Altitude Collection. Unlike our Batches where we blend fully matured whiskies, our High Altitude Collection is defined by the process of blend, finish, reblend. Adhering to this creation philosophy, Hell Diver started as a blend of 15, 22 and 23 year old corn with 18 and 19 year old rye, which we recasked into Pedro Ximénez Sherry, Cognac, and New American oak casks. Over the following year, we meticulously tracked these casks’ progression, pulling and vatting them as they reached their peak maturation. To achieve the correct balance, we only used two-thirds of these casks in the final blend. We designed the original blend with Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks in mind. Sherry casks are heavy-handed and prone to overwhelm meek-spirited whisky. A domineering cask requires an imperious spirit. As such, we created a deep, rich and viscous original blend with prominent orchard fruit preserves, earthy rye spice and pronounced rose blossom water top notes. We believed this foundation would handle the sweet and dry resonance of PX Sherry casks.

Return of Morbier and Parrano!!

Very exciting cheese news!

Parrano has been out for months and is back in stock at Kirkwood! It will get to Forsyth later today and other stores next week.

Even MORE exciting, Morbier is back in Missouri! We were unsure if this amazing washed rind cheese would ever come back. We were told it was a victim of the pandemic and was not being produced any longer. Thankfully the rumors were untrue!! As far as availability, same as Parrano.

Parrano...$22.99/lb
Blending the smooth, creamy texture of a Gouda with the nutty flavors of a Parmesan, Parrano® Originale adds something special to your cheese plate. Full of flavor yet still approachable, this cheese is a must have for entertaining, whether it’s a happy hour at home or a big celebration. Pairs well with: Fig Jam, Prosciutto, Marinated Artichokes, Roaster Peppers and a Crisp Lager or Spicy Syrah

Morbier...$24.99
An aromatic and surprisingly mild French cow's milk AOC cheese defined by the dark vein of vegetable ash streaking through it middle. Today, the ash is purely decorative, a nod to the method by which Morbier was once produced in Franche-Comté. Traditionally, the evening's fresh curds were sprinkled with ash to prevent the formation of a rind overnight. The next morning, new curds were laid upon the thin layer of ash to finish off the wheel. The wheel was then washed and rubbed by hand, forming a rind to protect the rich, creamy interior and to create a delectably stinky aroma. Morbier, which is aged for at least 60 days, pleasantly confounds expectations. Contrary to its smell, Morbier has a mild taste and leaves a wonderful, nutty aftertaste. Morbier is excellent served with Gewürztraminer or Pinot Noir.

J. Rieger & Co. Kansas City Whiskey...$32.99 / 750ml
Our Kansas City Whiskey is a blend of Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Light Corn Whiskey, and Straight Rye Whiskey, all aged at least 4 years, as well as a small amount of 15 year old Oloroso Sherry from the Williams & Humbert Bodega in Jerez. Bottled at 92 proof, Kansas City Whiskey is well-balanced, smooth, and slightly sweet. It’s beautiful when served neat or on the rocks, but also works well in classic Bourbon – or Rye-based cocktails such as the Horsefeather, Manhattan and Old Fashioned.
92 Proof | ABV: 46%
Rieger's Bourbon Bottled in Bond...$69.99
This Bottled in Bond Bourbon is as American as the story of J. Rieger & Co. itself. Founded by immigrants in 1887 and assumed to be a permanent casualty of prohibition, our distillery was revived in 2014 by a group of modern pioneers that included the great, great, great-grandson of Jacob Rieger himself.
This Bourbon, distilled from corn, rye, and malted barley, has aged for six years in our rickhouse, and is the first offering of this spirit since our resurrection. That brings us to today. After 6 long years in 53-gallon white American Oak barrels, the first barrels of Bourbon we made back in 2015 are finally ready. This batch of Bourbon is bottled at 100 proof and meets the additional qualifiers to be designated as Bottled in Bond, the most strict category of American Whiskey. This bottling marks the beginning of our Bourbon program. We have only ramped up as the years have gone on and we are looking at a rickhouse full of thousands of barrels. We look forward to bringing you Rieger’s Bourbon for generations to come.
J. Rieger Straight Rye Whiskey 6 Year Bottled in-Bond…$42.99
This whiskey is a pot distilled rye that consists of 96% rye and 4% malted barley. We really wanted to showcase the rye and that is why we chose to make it a very dominant rye grain bill. We distilled this rye paying very close attention to the spice that we all know and love from rye whiskeys and made sure that what we put in the barrel had the aggressive spice we had hoped for. This whiskey was aged for 6 years in new, charred white oak barrels from Independent Stave in Lebanon, Missouri.
Rieger Six Columns MIzzou Bourbon Whiskey....$35.99
When two Missouri institutions known for excellence join in partnership, the result is one outstanding whiskey: Six Columns Straight Bourbon Whiskey by J. Rieger & Co. Just as every Tiger knows the Columns as the center of countless traditions and celebrations, this special bourbon will be front and center in MU traditions and celebrations, too, from tailgates and watch parties to all Tiger-related activities. Distilled and aged at least four years in our historic distillery and rickhouse right here in Missouri, this whiskey is inspired by the bold spirit of Mizzou.
“Let these Columns stand. Let them stand a thousand years.” Cheers to MU!

I feel this wine expresses the greatness of California and its hidden pockets where Cabernet can excel. The cold Pacific Ocean running the entire length of the state presents maritime influences – and with each small distance eastward the climate warms. Stony soils, south facing slopes and moderately warm conditions are the keys to producing dark, rich and good tasting Cabernet .Introduced with the 2021 vintage, this wine stems from excitement over California’s diverse vineyard land, often in lesser-known areas, that can produce exceptional Cabernet.
Chuck Wagner, owner and winemaker
SOURCING: We search for sites with climatic conditions, soils and topography ideally suited to Cabernet – places from Paso Robles to lesser-known areas in Lake, San Benito and Monterey Counties.
STYLE: With ripe fruit and luxurious tannins, this wine reveals the Caymus character, and is drinkable upon release or with age.

Código 1530 Blanco is an unrested tequila. We take pride in every step of our production process, carefully sourcing only the best ingredients to produce a spirit that requires no resting. Like many tequila aficionados, we recommend our Blanco as the expression that best reflects the true natural taste of our storied terroir.
Serving Suggestions: Código 1530 Blanco is best enjoyed as a chilled shot garnished with a cinnamon-dipped orange wedge, or in a Margarita or Paloma cocktail.

Codigo 1530 Tequila Rosa Blanco....$58.99
Código 1530 Rosa begins with the purity of our Blanco, then rested for 1 month in an uncharred Napa Cabernet French White Oak barrel. The result is a refined spirit with a natural color as beautiful as its taste. Our Rosa has rested just long enough in our fine cabernet barrels to enrich the natural agave juice, yet not too long to prevent overpowering its delicate floral notes.  Serving Suggestions: Código 1530 Rosa is best enjoyed pure, or in a Skinny Rosa Margarita or in a fresh Rosa Martini.

Codigo 1530 Tequila Reposado....$55.99
Código 1530 Reposado combines the purity of our Blanco and the elegance of our aging process. Aged for six months in Napa Cabernet French White Oak barrels, Código 1530 Reposado embraces the agave-driven flavors of Los Bajos tequila, with its subtle, natural hints of many of the signature flavors found in whiskeys, including vanilla, chocolate and caramel.
Serving Suggestions: Código 1530 Reposado is best enjoyed in a 1530 Margarita or an “El Rey” Paloma.

Codigo 1530 Tequila Anejo....$118.99
Código 1530 Añejo has been lauded by Tequila experts as the finest Añejo Tequila available. Awarded “Añejo of the year” in 2016, our Añejo is carefully aged for 18 months in Napa Cabernet French White Oak barrels, fully embracing the refined elegance of the wine making process.  Serving Suggestions: Código 1530 Añejo is best enjoyed neat or as an Añejo Old Fashioned.
