M B Roland, Christian County Kentucky
We opted for a high rye mashbill to showcase the multifaceted contribution this flavorful grain brings to a bourbon recipe. Series Two brings together pot still production and generously high rye mashbill, resulting in a flavorful and complex spirit. Barrels were distilled at M.B. Roland. The mash is fermented for three-four days using Christian County, Kentucky water and industry standard yeast. It is then double pot distilled and collected at 110 proof. The undiluted distillate is then matured in wood-fired Kelvin Cooperage American White Oak barrels. Barrels rest on property, and once matured, are filtered only for sediment before bottling. Located in Pembroke, Kentucky, M.B. Roland was the founding distillery of the Kentucky Bourbon Craft Trail.

We hope to have bottles on sale to sell, but the weather has slowed down the delivery to St. Louis. If they make it on time, she will be able to autograph bottles too!

"Zykan started out managing the Old Forester single barrel program, but was promoted to master taster based on, of course, her incredible palate." -- Robb Report

Whiskey Superstar! Jackie Zykan
Known for having one of the most respected palates in American Whiskey, Jackie Zykan’s approach to blending looks a lot like her approach to life – focused on balance, structure and celebrating the unique nuances of each blend. A native of St. Louis, and now calling Louisville, Kentucky home, she brings more than 16 years of beverage alcohol industry experience to Hidden Barn.
With degrees in biology and chemistry, and experience in multi-concept beverage directorship, cocktail strategy, category education, product development, and global marketing, her career has taken her to nearly every corner of the industry, giving her both balance and structure that few can match. She’s regarded not only for her technical know-how, but for her personal style of whiskey education, which is relatable and focused.
Most recently, Jackie served as Master Taster for Old Forester where she came to develop her hallmark style of blending and descriptive analysis, while remaining focused on quality, integrity and her signature approachability. For Zykan, it’s not meant to be pretentious – whiskey is meant to be a celebration.

The Legendary Tsingtao 1903

Tsingtao 1903 Premium Imported Lager...$13.99 / 11.2oz bottles
Tsingtao 1903, with its distinctive gold and green bottle, is the creation of Tsingtao's original German brewmaster, Hans Christian Augerta.
Tsingtao Brewery was founded in 1903 when Augerta brought high-quality German yeast, the soul of any beer, from his home country. Combining the legendary yeast, with Canadian and Australian wheat, Czech Saaz hops, and long auto fermentation at ultra-low temperatures creating a rich, fragrant and full-bodied beer, 1903 also has enhanced stability and resistance to oxidation.
Tsingtao 1903 commemorates the founder of the company and is a testament to the history of the Tsingtao Brewery. This history has created an oppurtunity for a brilliant future as evidenced by recent comments at the World Beer Championships:
  • A gold medal at the Best Spring Lager competition
  • The product shines like a beacon among all others
  • Golden color with rich, wheat aroma
  • Mellow, yet energetic taste
  • Delicate cream-like foam  with long finish and lingering fragrance

2019 Le Clos de Caillou Les Quartz Chateauneuf du Pape

2019 Le Clos de Caillou Les Quartz Chateauneuf du Pape....$69.99
Lowest price online is $81.88

Moving to the tiny production 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape Les Quartz, which is mostly Grenache with around 25% or so of Syrah, it has a rich, full-bodied, dense, and almost backward style to go with powerful black fruits, ground pepper, and violet aromas and flavors. I love its purity of fruit, and it builds nicely with time in the glass, showing more mid-palate depth as well as ripe tannins. It’s a stunning bottle of wine, but patience will be required. Hide bottles for 4-5 years and enjoy over the following two decades.
Rated 97+/100 Jeb Dunnuck
Deep liquorice and tarragon freshness here, this has a voluptuous texture, very rounded and generous. Ends firms and powerful, it's a wine with plenty of presence and has squished blackberry fruits into the long length. Very well balanced for a powerful wine. Grown half on large pebbles, half on sand in lieu-dit Les Cassanets, destemmed, then fermented mostly in concrete, then matured mostly in demi-muid except for 10% in amphora.
Rated 96/100 Decanter
Rated 94+/100 The Wine Advocate
Rated 94/100 The Wine Spectator

Urban Chestnut Brewing Dorfbier and Stammstisch in Cans

UCBC Dorfier Bavarian Dunkel Lager...$8.99 / 4pk 16oz cans
Tasting Notes:
Rich, smooth, toasty
Some refer to the Dunkel style as the original bier of Munich and its surrounding villages (Dörfer). This everyday bier ranges in color and sweetness depending on the amount of Munich and roasted malts used. The sweetness of the malt is then balanced by the use of another Bavarian friend…the Hallertau hop…in this specific case, Hersbrucker, grown near Wolnzach, Hallertau.
UCBC Stammtisch German Style Pilsner...$8.99 / 4pk 16oz cans
Tasting Notes:
Crisp, floral, herbal
A "Stammtisch" is an informal group meeting held on a regular basis – more directly translating to ‘table for regulars’. Our Stammtisch was brewed to celebrate this idea of community and socializing. It’s a traditional German Pilsner featuring a blend of Hallertau and Strisselspalt hops, giving it a pronounced herbal and spicy aroma. It's crisp and dry with a light grainy malt profile. We think it's the perfect accompaniment to any gathering.

Main & Mill Mango Majesty Sour with mango and orange

Main & Mill Mango Majesty Sour...$12.99 / 4pk 16oz cans
6% Sour with Mangos and Cara Cara Oranges
Mango Majesty marks the return of our artist series with nostalgia forward art by Joe DellaGatta. The name and colors of this label really had us dying for a killer fruit beer just like the days of taking down a juice box as the search for the princess continued…only she was constantly in a different castle.
We went heavy on the fruiting with over 55 lbs of fruit per barrel, leading to very present mango and orange character. When formulating this beer, we wanted to create a heavily fruited beer that remained crisp with just enough tartness to have you going back for another drink.

Dogfish Head Nordic Spring IPA

Dogfish Head Nordic Spring IPA...$12.99 / 6pk 12oz cans
With every spring comes new possibilities. A magical awakening to the year that lies ahead. With a thirst for always venturing off the beaten path, our palates have wandered north to explore a world rooted in rich harvesting traditions. The result? Nordic Spring – a super citrusy hazy IPA brewed with Norwegian Kveik yeast, wild juniper berries, orange peel and Danko rye malt.
Balanced yet bursting with waves of flavor, the Kviek yeast used in Nordic Spring ferments at higher temperatures, imparting strong citrus and tropical notes that can warm up the coldest of Norwegian springs.
Nordic Spring is the first release of our 2023 Off-Centered Art Series, donning whimsical artwork from our good pal Natalya Balnova. Based in New York, Natalya works as an illustrator, designer and printmaker whose playful work can be found across dozens of publications and brands.

Highland Park Cask Strength Release No.3

Highland Park Cask Strength Release No.3...$99.99 / 750ml
ABV : 64.1%
Bottled straight from the cask, without adding water to reduce alcohol content, delivers the extraordinary depth, complexity and balance of flavours that’s now the established hallmark of our Cask Strength series. Release No. 3 is no exception.
This third release has been created using an expertly balanced combination of three cask types – first-fill sherry seasoned American and European oak casks and a smaller quantity of refill casks for balance and depth. Using a higher proportion of Orkney peated malt, our Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion, has achieved an intensely smoky character, coming through first on the nose with aromas of smouldering peat and lightly charred oak, balanced by honey-glazed lemons and crushed aniseed.
Discover what best suits your palate by experimenting with the amount of water you add as you release this whisky’s distinctive notes of ripe mango, cloudy heather honey and whipped vanilla cream with a hint of aromatic violet. Pink grapefruit zest, freshly-baked sponge cake and a final gust of heathery peat smoke provide a long and distinctive finish.
We’ve been crafting our award-winning whisky at the Highland Park Distillery in Kirkwall, Orkney, since 1798. Age, experience and respect for tradition may define our whisky, but it’s Orkney that sets it apart. Something magic happens here and the result is the wild harmony of flavours found in our whisky.

Liber & CO

Liber is restocked with some new products too!

Liber: In 2011, we noticed that something was missing. While high-end spirits, liqueurs and bitters meant that everyone could obtain most of what's needed to make better cocktails, there was still a problem for the discerning drinker. An entire ingredient category remained overlooked. No one offered quality cocktail syrups – the essentials required for hundreds of great drinks. Instead, artificially flavored corn syrups were peddled as substitutes, and anyone seeking an authentic drink was left wanting.

We started Liber & Co. to fill this void. We aim to complete your bar so that you can enjoy dozens of excellent cocktails.

Liber & Co. Old Fashioned Syrup...$14.99 / 9.5oz
We combined our rich and silky Classic Gum Syrup with the perfect measure of aromatic bitters and cold-pressed orange oil to make this Old Fashioned Syrup. The result is a one-step solution for a perfectly-balanced, bar-quality Old Fashioned every time. Simply add 1/4 oz of the Old Fashioned syrup to your glass along with ice and 2 oz of your favorite whiskey, and stir. You can enjoy up to 38 Old Fashioneds from a single 9.5 oz bottle, making it great for hosting get-togethers, or as a gift for the cocktail fan in your life. You can also use this syrup to shake up a delicious whiskey sour, or any cocktail that calls for simple syrup and aromatic bitters.

Liber & Co. Pineapple Gum Syrup...$8.49 / 9.5oz
A tropical delight! Our Pineapple Gum Syrup is ready to take your tiki cocktails to new heights. We really let the fresh fruit do the talking here: fully 60% of the syrup is the juice from ripe, cold-pressed pineapples. All-natural gum arabic gives the syrup a unique richness and viscosity
Vegan, Vegetarian, Alcohol-free, Dairy-free, Gluten-free, Nut-free, Low fat, Low sodium, No artificial sweeteners

Liber & Co. Fiery Ginger Syrup...$8.49 / 9.5oz
Our Fiery Ginger Syrup starts with whole ginger root, juiced fresh to capture the best possible flavor. Pure cane sugar balances the heat to create a bright and full-flavored syrup with a silky texture. This syrup's fiery flavor lends the perfect burn needed to enhance a wide variety of classic and novel cocktails. Top with club soda for a superior ginger beer.
Vegan, Vegetarian, Alcohol-free, Dairy-free, Gluten-free, Nut-free, Low fat, Low sodium, No artificial sweeteners

Liber & Co. Blood Orange Cordial...$8.49 / 9.5oz
This Blood Orange Cordial is packed with fresh fruit flavor thanks to the one-two punch of blood orange’s fresh juice and cold pressed essential oil. We selected the Moro blood orange from California for its intense red color and unique notes of raspberry.

Liber & Co. Tropical Passionfruit Syrup...$8.49 / 9.5oz
Peruvian passionfruit is your direct ticket to cocktail paradise! Bursting with brilliantly lush and tangy flavors – this syrup shines in all things tiki. Though exotic and rum-ready, our Tropical Passionfruit Syrup pairs beautifully with a variety of spirits – two favorites being dry gin and aromatic agave spirits. Expect its intense yellow-orange color to help you create naturally gorgeous cocktails.

Liber & Co. Classic Gum Syrup...$8.49 / 9.5oz
Gum syrup has long been a staple ingredient in the world’s best cocktail bars. Gum syrup is a simple syrup combined with gum arabic, an all-natural emulsifier derived from African acacia trees. The addition of gum arabic lends the syrup a silky and more luxuriant mouthfeel when compared to a common simple syrup. It is a superior sweetener with incredible versatility. Our Classic Gum Syrup is a rich 2:1 simple syrup, meaning a little goes a long way. Try it in classics like the Old Fashioned or Sazerac, or with iced tea, coffee, or lemonade.

Liber & Co. Orgeat Syrup...$8.49 / 9.5oz
Orgeat is a must have for any cocktail fan! Liber & Co. orgeat begins with organic almonds that are blanched and roasted to bring out their toasted nut flavors. After grinding the roasted almonds into a perfectly smooth butter, we blend in cane sugar, orange blossom water and a touch of bitter almond oil for a distinct marzipan note. This is complex orgeat whose full almond character makes it indispensable at any well-stocked bar. The iconic orgeat cocktail is the Mai Tai.

Liber & Co. Real Grenadine....$8.49 / 9.5oz
Originally, grenadine was a pomegranate syrup used in drinks for it's tart, sweet flavor and intense red color. Today's mass produced grenadines are just high fructose corn syrup with artificial colors and flavors. Our Real Grenadine stands tastefully apart - authentic in its ingredients and unrivaled in its flavor. Our cold-processing retains the fruits naturally fresh flavors and rich color. Pure cane sugar and orange blossom water lend this syrup great balance and an elegant floral aroma. Try it in classics like the Jack Rose or Tequila Sunrise.

Liber & Co. Demerara Gum Syrup...$8.49 / 9.5oz
More than just a raw sugar syrup, Demerara Gum Syrup delivers incredible depth of flavor. Demerara cane sugar is unrefined, and you’ll find that its distinct molasses note perfectly complements rum and barrel-aged spirits of all kinds. Just like our Classic Gum Syrup, gum arabic gives the syrup a silky texture to create a more luxuriant drink.

Liber & Co. Sugarcane Kola Syrup...$8.49 / 9.5oz
A kola with a ‘k’ - made from the African kola nut, the original ingredient and eponym for the iconic drink. Crucially, this is a kola meant for cocktails. Rich spices including cinnamon, vanilla and coffee anchor the flavor while top notes of citrus like bitter orange and lime offer a crisp finish. This Sugarcane Kola Syrup will expand your expectations of what a kola can do in cocktails. Top with club soda or use as a base syrup.

Liber & Co Tonic Syrup...$7.99 / 9.5oz
Our Premium Tonic Syrup is a refreshing, boldly flavored tonic made to enhance the classic gin and tonic.

Superior ingredients including natural quinine, zesty citrus and pure cane sugar are selected to perfectly complement your premium gin or vodka.
Premium Tonic Syrup is an uncarbonated concentrate. Top with club soda for a superior tonic water, or go beyond the G & T by using the tonic syrup in novel cocktails.

Liber & Co Rio Red Grapefruit Cordial Syrup...$8.49 / 9.5oz
This Rio Red Grapefruit Cordial captures the full flavor spectrum of ripe Texas grapefruit. We marry fresh Rio Red grapefruit juice with the fruit’s cold-pressed peel oils and natural acids. The result? Zesty grapefruit bliss – and the key to a perfect Paloma.

Blue Run Kentucky Golden Rye Whiskey

Blue Run Kentucky Golden Rye Whiskey...$91.99
(compare to $99.99 at Total Wine and More)
95 proof
Blue Run small batch Golden Rye Whiskey is Blue Run’s inaugural Rye expression. Named for both the distinct color of the choice grains that were used in the creation process and the resulting product, Golden Rye was awarded a Gold medal in 2021 by the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Honey-baked, graham cracker aroma surrounded by sweet grains and wood sugar. Easy-going finish that rests with honey and a dash of pear-syrup, with touches of ginger that add just the right tingle.
