St. Louis Favorite in a big bottle!
2018 Rombauer Chardonnay Carneros....$82.99 / 1.5 liter (Magnum)
The fruit for this wine comes from vineyards in the Carneros region owned by the Rombauer family and select growers including the Sangiacomo family, long-term grower partners who have farmed this land for three generations. Enticing aromas of vanilla, melon and mango are layered with apricot, creme brulee, butter and a slight minerality. Those scents are echoed as flavors on the creamy, rich palate, along with peach, pie crust and baking spices. The long, smooth finish is marked by mouthwatering acidity.

California classic in big bottles !
2017 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon....$165.99 / 1.5 liter magnum
2017 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon....$349.99 / 3 liter double Magnum
This embraces the ripe, lush style head on, with creamed plum, cassis and blackberry preserve flavors gliding through, showing seamless structure and hefty dollops of mocha and ganache on the finish. For the hedonist crowd. Drink now through 2024. 85,854 cases made. — JM
Rated 92/100 The Wine Spectator

2018 The Prisoner Red...$79.99 / 1.5 liter (Magnum)
The Prisoner was inspired by the “mixed blacks” first made by the Italian immigrants who originally settled in Napa Valley. The Prisoner is now the most recognized Napa Valley red blend, leading the resurgence of interesting blends by incorporating Zinfandel with the unlikely mix of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah, and Charbono.
Features enticing aromas of Bing cherry, dark chocolate, clove, and roasted fig. Persistent flavors of ripe raspberry, boysenberry, pomegranate, and vanilla linger harmoniously, for a smooth and luscious finish.

2016 Robert Mondavi Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon...199.99 / 3 liter
DOUBLE MAGNUM

The medium-bodied, more elegant 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville (85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, and the rest Merlot and Cabernet Franc) reveals a nuanced bouquet of black raspberries, red cassis, graphite, violets, and toasted spices. It’s not a blockbuster, but it has a terrific sense of elegance and purity as well as balance.
Rated 94/100 Jeb Dunnuck

Limited!
2016 Dominus Proprietary Red Wine...$650.00 / 1.5 liter
Magnum bottle

A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot and 8% Cabernet Franc aged in 40% new oak, the 2016 Proprietary Red Wine is deep purple-black in color and quite reticent at this youthful stage to begin, offering up subtle notions of potpourri, Indian spices, cigar box and iron ore over a core of crushed blackberries and black cherries with intermittent wafts of black and red currants, new leather and smoked meats. The palate is medium to full-bodied with a densely packed mid-palate and oodles of freshness framed by very ripe, finely grained tannins and laced with compelling earthy accents. It offers incredible vibrancy with tons of black and red fruit sparkle in the mid-palate leading to a provocative mineral element on the very long finish. If I could give more than 100 for this one, I would.Rated 100/100 The Wine Advocate

2012 Robert Foley Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley....$499.99 / 3 liter
Engraved bottle and autographed by Bob Foley!

The delicious, fruit-forward, dense purple-colored 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits plenty of roasted espresso notes intermixed with cassis, chocolate and toasty oak. Opulent, full-bodied and unctuously textured, it should continue to drink well for 10-12 years.
Rated 95/100 Robert Parker The Wine Advocate
Rated 96/100 James Suckling

2014 Buccella Cabernet Sauvignon...$389.99
A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is a very deep inky purple color and offers an intense cassis, crushed blueberries and blackberries nose with hints of menthol, fragrant earth and tilled soil plus cinnamon stick and lavender. The mouth is full, rich and concentrated with a solid backbone of firm, grainy tannins. The long finish still carries a lot of oak, but given the slowly evolving fruit and firm frame here, I anticipate this oak should marry within 2-3 years and drink beautifully over the next 15+.

Rated 95/100 Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

2011 Brandlin Mount Veeder Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Magnum...$69.99 / 1.5ltr (magnum)
Lowest price on Wine-Searcher is $99.99

Solely from Mount Veeder, this Cabernet Sauvignon has small percentages of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The trio combine to offer currant and cranberry around a complex, woody core of oak, black tea and herbs.
Rated 90/100 Wine Enthusiast
"Smooth and juicy with lovely ripe plum and black raspberry; elegant and showing subtle oak, spice and balance; long and vivid."
Rated 93/100 Anthony Dias Blue, The Tasting Panel

As Classic Wine from a Classic Vintage
2015 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon....$339.98 / 1.5 liter
A bright and juicy style, with lots of freshly crushed loganberry, boysenberry and black currant fruit jumping to the fore, followed by briar and sweet tobacco notes on the finish. Solid grip throughout. This is really coiled for the long haul.

Rated 95+/100 Vinous Media

2016 Ridge Montebello....$439.99 / 1.5 liter (magnum)
One of the highlights in this tasting, the 2016 Monte Bello has turned out just as beautifully as I hoped it would. Soaring aromatics, bright acids and mid-weight structure give the 2016 a super-classic feel. Clearly, the 2016 is very primary today, with plenty of bright red and purplish berry fruit. More than that, though, the 2016 pulses with energy and simply exceptional balance. Don't miss it!
Rated 98/100 Antonio Galloni, Vinous

The 2016 Monte Bello is a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot and 6% Cabernet Franc, aged 18 months in 100% new oak (98% American and 2% French). It has a medium to deep ruby color and is youthfully coiled, slowly developing scents of dark chocolate, pencil shavings, cedar, loamy soil, dried flowers, licorice, blackcurrant and black cherry with red berry sparks and exotic spices. The palate is full-bodied and youthfully firm, slowly unfolding with mineral-tinged fruits. It has a frame of firm, pixelated tannins and seamlessly woven acidity, finishing very long and full of latent layers.

2014 Philip Togni Estate Cabernet Sauvignon...$279.99 (1.5ltr) MAGNUM
Togni's 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is quite dark and powerful, but also very much medium in body. Graphite, smoke, savory herbs, mint, leather and a core of inky dark red and purplish fruit infuse this deep, beautifully layered Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2014 is a wine built on energy and aromatics that won't hit its stride until at least age ten.
Rated 97/100 Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate has a wonderfully earthy nose of truffles, tilled soil and mossy bark over a core of fresh blackcurrants, black plums and blueberry pie with a waft of bay leaves. The palate is medium-bodied, elegant and refreshing with a beautiful quiet intensity and great freshness, finishing long and earthy.
Rated 94/100 Wine Advocate

2015 Philip Togni Estate Cabernet Sauvignon...$299.99 (1.5ltr) MAGNUM
Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate reveals a wonderfully spicy nose of cinnamon stick, cloves, fenugreek and cumin seed over a core of cassis, kirsch, black raspberries and spearmint with nuances of lavender and forest floor. Medium-bodied, the palate is laden with energetic red and black berry flavors, framed by ripe, finely grained tannins and bold freshness, finishing long and perfumed.

Refreshing, no oak - screw cap - perfect for the patio

2017 La Noble Chardonnay....$13.99
The 2017 Chardonnay is terrific as well as a smoking value! Stone fruits, buttered citrus, white flowers and a hint of salty minerality all give way to a medium-bodied, clean, deliciously balanced, pure Chardonnay that over-delivers. Drink this soft, forward, terrific Chardonnay over the coming year or two.

2018 Tempier Bandol Rose

2018 Tempier Bandol Rose...$39.99
The Bandol Tempier Rosé offers a unique blend of complexity and freshness. It has a fine structure, with no tannin. The high-quality care given to the vines and the diversity of the terroirs* produce a flavorful intensity and a strong typicity.
Drink 1 – 5 years. However it may be kept much longer as it will take on flavors of candied citrus fruit, melon and rose petal.

Tempier's 2018 Bandol Rose marks another successful vintage for this consistent standout. It's light to medium-bodied, not overly ripe or rich, but all about balance and refreshment. Tangerine and melon aromas and flavors hit all the right notes, lingering on the already elegant finish.

Sinskey Vin Gris of Pinot Noir Los Carneros Rose

New 2019 Rose
2019 Sinskey Vin Gris of Pinot Noir Los Carneros Rose...$29.99
A stunningly beautiful wine to the eye and even better to all the senses. Star jasmine, orange blossom, rose petal and fennel pollen lead a high-tone aromatic charge that is amazingly complex for such a young wine. Strawberry, fresh apricot, white peach, pink lady apple and blood orange come next in juicy waves of flavor that broaden across the mid-palate to create a feeling of richness that lends itself to all kinds of food pairing possibilities. A twist of orange and fresh lemon zest hit on a finish lengthened by its mineral texture, mouthwatering acidity and high fruit quality from grapes farmed exclusively for this beautiful pink wine.

Green Dirt Farm

Green Dirt Farm Fresh Sheep's Milk Plain...$5.29 (3.5oz)
A lactic style, fresh spreadable cheese. AMAZING on baguettes, bagels, or any crispy bread!
Our fresh cheese is a lactic style, fresh meaning un-aged cheese. The cheese ripens and drains for 48 hours, after which it is promptly packaged. Our Fresh cheese is bright and lemony, with a clean milky note on the finish. For people familiar with Fresh Chèvre, that is a good comparison; but without the gaminess sometimes associated with goat cheese.
This cheese has a soft, delicate curd. It crumbles well when cold, and becomes more spreadable as it warms up. These cheeses are very versatile and can be used for a variety of dishes or simply served on a cheese plate.
Our Fresh Plain is simply the milk, cultures, and a touch of salt. It has a creamy, bright flavor and pairs well with crisp and acidic white wines, strawberries, and honey.

Booker Wines - a new load at a better price!

The Central Coasts latest super star is finally here. We are very excited about this set of 2017's from Eric Jensen and Booker Vineyards

Now with even better pricing!!!!

2017 Booker Vineyard Vertigo....$69.99
was $79.99
I loved the 2017 Vertigo from barrel, and it didn’t disappoint from bottle. A blend of 63% Syrah, 30% Mourvèdre, and the rest Grenache and Petite Sirah, brought up in 65% new French oak, this full-bodied, massively endowed 2017 has complex notes of blue fruits, blood orange, violets, and exotic spices. As with all Eric’s 2017s, it’s rich and concentrated yet has remarkable purity and elegance at the same time. It’s one of the finest GSM blends out there and will shine for at least 8-10 years.
Rated 99/100 Jeb Dunnuck

2017 Booker The Ripper...$69.99
was $85.99
Bottled in February of this year, the 100% Grenache 2017 Ripper has a beautiful perfume of black raspberries, white flowers, licorice, and subtle background oak. Rich and medium to full-bodied, it has wonderful purity, fine tannins, and a great finish.
Rated 96/100 Jeb Dunnuck

2017 Booker Vineyard Oublie...$69.99
was $79.99
The 2017 Oublie is a blockbuster, ranking with the finest wines in the vintage. Based on 56% Grenache, 22% Mourvèdre, 22% Syrah, brought up in 50% neutral barrels, its vivid purple color is followed by a full-bodied, powerful, yet elegant red that has a great nose of cassis, blackberries, white flowers, leafy herbs, and hints of pepper. It packs some muscle yet stays flawlessly balanced. Drink it over the coming decade.
Rated 96/100 Jeb Dunuck

2017 Booker Vineyard Fracture...$79.99
was $93.99
Notes of crème de cassis, ground pepper, and crushed flowers emerge from the 2017 Fracture, which, as always, is all Syrah and was brought up in 65% new French oak barrels. Full-bodied, beautifully layered and textured, it has classic Booker power and richness yet shows the pretty, elegant style of the vintage as well.
Rated 98/100 Jeb Dunnuck

2017 Booker Vineyard “My Favorite Neighbor” Cabernet...$69.99
was $79.99
The 2017 My Favorite Neighbor is also terrific and I suspect would cost 2-3 times its going rate if it was from Napa Valley. It's also the more elegant, perfumed, red-fruited release compared to the darker fruited Harvey and Harriet release. Classy notes of black raspberries, spice box, white flowers, lead pencil shavings, and tobacco leaf all emerge from the glass of this medium to full-bodied red, which offers a seamless texture, fine tannins, and a great finish. It will be better with 2-3 years of bottle age and keep for over a decade.
Rated 96/100 Jeb Dunnuck

2018 Booker Vineyard White...$39.99
lowest price on Wine-Searcher is $49.99

A blend of 60% Roussanne and 40% Viognier, the medium gold-colored (there's a touch of green) 2018 White has a fleshy, powerful style that carries beautiful notes of lemon oil, honeysuckle, toasted bread, crushed lime, and hints of minerality. It's a pure, rockingly textured, balanced white to enjoy with food over the coming 2-3 years.
Rated 95/100 Jeb Dunnuck

2017 Booker Vineyard Tempranillo...$69.99
Along with Epoch, Jensen makes one of the finest Tempranillo out there. The 2017 Tempranillo offers terrific blue fruits, pepper, violets, and spice-driven aromas and flavors. It’s full-bodied, with remarkable purity, plenty of classic Tempranillo tannins, and a great finish. It has upfront charm given its balance, yet I suspect it will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age.

De Dolle Brewery

One more case arrived!

De Dolle OERBIER...$5.49 / 11.2oz bottle

9% ABV
Oerbier means original, from the source. This beer has been brewed in small scale (5 gallons) at home in a copper wash kettle, by two brothers who were students at the time. They took over an old brewery which was out of business and said: "If we don't bring the brewery back to life, nobody will!". It was also a unique opportunity to create some interesting brews, so why not try it?
Therefore we went ahead. We did the main work ourselves and kept the scale of the brewery as it was. Since then, the brewery and its beers have been an inspiration for a lot of brewers. Oerbier is brewed from all different malts, Poperinge Golding hops in flowers and a special yeast which makes it a little tart, especially with aging. At the brewery we have excellent cellars which have a constant temperature of 8°C allowING Oerbier to age at its best.
After a couple of years Oerbier tastes like it has been blended with wine… Oerbier has been refermented in the bottle and contains a layer of yeast, having vitamins B. NAT en STRAF on the glasses means WET and STRONG, a warning for the 9 vol. alcohol content. The little person on the glasses is the Oerbier man, a simple creature who holds a brewers fork in his right hand, symbolizing the work and science, but looking to the other side, the result of all this, the glass of (Oer)beer. The artwork on the poster is a wallpainting found in Spain (Altamira) and is considered by art lovers as being the best prehistoric art work (30.000 years BC). On the other hand we have Oerbier started in 1980, continuing the tradition.
Since 2000 as the yeast supply ceased, we installed a new yeast propagator. The tart aftertaste is obtained by lactobacterial fermentation (since 2005).

Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Merlot
The 2016 Languedoc Puydeval checks in as a blend of 56% Cabernet Franc, 37% Syrah, and 7% Merlot sourced all from Limoux and the western regions of the Minervois. It offers more freshness and elegance than past vintages and has loads of black fruits, toasted spice, asphalt, and gravelly minerality. With medium-bodied richness, a good mid-palate, and present tannin on the finish, it’s a big, rich, steakhouse red that has tons to love.

Grenache,  Carignan,  Syrah and Mourvèdre
Importer Dan Kravitz commented that the blend of the 2017 Côtes Catalanes was his favorite to date, and he's been doing this cuvée since 1991. Made from Grenache Carignan Syrah and Mourvèdre, it has a beautifully pure bouquet of cassis, ground pepper, violets, and spice. Juicy, medium to full-bodied, rounded, and textured on the palate, it's going to be another terrific vintage for this wine, as well as a smoking value.

Grenache, Carignan, and Syrah
The Grenache vines range from 55 to 100 years old. The Carignan vines are 82 years old, while his Syrah vines range from 30 to 50 years old. This in an unusually rich and complex Côtes du Rhône. Each year Vincent has incrementally increased the percentage of Grenache in his Côtes du Rhône. This year the wine is now 70% Grenache. This blend further accentuates the bright red cherry fruit in the wine. His old vine Carignan adds a complex peppery spice component, while the adds rich black fruit flavors.
