Meadowview Botanical Gin

Made in Missouri!
Meadowview Botanical Gin...$31.99
The idea for this gin was dreamed up while Jason and Mitchell were both living on Meadowview Avenue in Springfield, Missouri. They wanted to create a spirit that embodied those wonderful suburban summer evenings spent by the pool and at backyard barbecues with family and friends.

They partnered with the team at Pinckney Bend Distillery to bring to life a botanical gin that’s distinct yet well balanced. Of course you’ll taste the juniper right off the bat, and after that you’ll notice the sweet orange and lemon. Then the rest of the 12 botanicals come together for a nice little medley that ends with notes of lavender and sage.

To celebrate the staying power of hard-earned flavor, we’re bottling a limited edition, unfiltered* and cask strength single barrel bourbon. This bourbon is truly a high point in Knob Creek®’s proud history. This is our first ever bourbon bottled at barrel strength. Now you can experience the exceptional flavor profile of these personally selected barrels as if you were at the warehouse in Clermont: uncut and unblended.

A low-alcohol Berliner Weisse style ale, acidified and matured in French oak puncheons for 6 months, is the foundation for this gem. Chateau Tour Bel Air Haut Medoc Plenitude

Great 2015 Bordeaux Vintage

Robert Parker Rated the 2015 Vintage of Bordeaux 95/100 as a whole.

2015 Chateau Tour Bel Air Haut Medoc Plenitude...$21.99
In 2006, four friends, agricultural engineers, joined forces to buy Médoc vines in Cissac: The Château Tour Bel Air, with its appellation Haut Médoc, vintage craftsmanship, human-scale vineyard of seven and one-half hectares of vines.  The terroir is five kilometers away from the Gironde, near Saint Estèphe and Pauillac. The grape varietals consist mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The cultivation of the vineyard is conducted reasonably and traditionally: low vines with high density, double guyot trimming, partially manual leaf stripping.  We very carefully cultivate the vines in order to protect the plants. The harvest is done partly by hand for the old vines, among friends, and the rest with the help of machines. The grapes macerate for about five to six weeks in tanks. The wine is then vinified for twenty months, including ten months in oak barrels.

Horgelus Côtes Gascogne Blanc

2017 Horgelus Côtes Gascogne Blanc....$9.99
50% Sauvignon and 50% Gros Manseng
We have been looking for a great Cotes to Gascogne Blanc for awhile.  Many are just boring and insipid.  We finally found a new one that is exciting and vibrant!

The estate is run now by Yoan Le Menn, his son. Yoan represents the younger generation of oenologists who work tirelessly to combine modernity and experience.   The biggest task is preserving of the aromas by limiting, as much as possible, all forms of oxidation of the “must” and the wines. For this reason the grapes are harvested early in the morning – from 3am to 11 am – in order to take advantage of the cool air. On the other hand, the carbon dioxide from the alcoholic fermentation is recuperated to protect the newly pressed juice. From the grape to the bottling process, everything is designed to preserve the fruity flavors and freshness of our wines.

Brother and sister, Christophe and Isabelle Chéty, are the 13th generation to produce wine here.  In support of Sustainable Agriculture, for the last 25 years, they stopped using chemical sprays for preventive reasons, and now spray only when necessary. They installed a meteorological station, solar panels and started the collection of rain water.  In 2011, the Chéty Family became a member of the first Association in Bordeaux to be ISO certified 14001. A far-reaching Environmental Program includes the reduction of energy use, CO2 emissions and water consumption. We also maintain a high level of safety for our team.
