Brotte Les Hauts de Barville Chateauneuf du Blanc - great score, great price

Brotte Les Hauts de Barville Chateauneuf du Blanc...$31.99
This has a lovely mix of yellow apple and white peach fruit flavors inlaid with verbena, quinine and lemon shortbread notes. The richness is offset by a stony echo. Drink now through 2018. 2,000 cases made.

Conterno Fantino Sori Ginestra

2013 Conterno Fantino Sori Ginestra...$95.99
The 2013 Barolo Ginestra Vigna Sorì Ginestra shows a whole other level of fiber and textural richness. This is a stunning wine from thicker soils that deliver more structure, firmness and overall depth. With that superiore richness, the wine is also endowed with balanced acidity, plump primary fruit and an elegant touch of balsam or menthol herb on the finish. This drives the finish forward for a few long and glorious minutes. Dig deeper still, and you find a sweet note of chocolate hazelnut.

2013 Conterno Fantino Sori Ginestra...$89.99
The 2013 Barolo Castelletto Vigna Pressenda sees fruit sourced from the middle part of the Castelletto vineyard where there is a mix of lighter, sandy soils. These loose soils have impacted the wine's distinct character. The bouquet is subdued and graceful. Overall, there is less primary fruit intensity. Instead, the aromas veer towards ethereal tones of licorice, dry hazelnut and medicinal herb. The mouthfeel, on the other hand, is very direct and pointed. The tannins are firm and tight. The wine needs a few more years to get out of this more reticent phase.

Onx Indie Rose

2016 Onx Indie Rose of Tempranillo...$16.99
Next lowest price online is $19 on Wine SearcherAn origami doll, a daylily, the perfect sunrise – the essence of ephemeral beauty.
The 2016 Indie rosé is like a tempest in a teacup. It romantically leaps out of its glass to greet its taster with a flurry of peaches, nectarines, blood oranges, and rose hips. The wine enters the mouth softly and sweetly, like the first bite of a freshly picked strawberry, then persists on the tongue with a bright, refreshing acidity that subtly hints of tamarind and passion fruit. Indie then gently trails into a pleasing finish that stays with the taster like an opening act that blows away the headliner! 852 cases produced.

2015 Cherry Pie Three Vineyards Pinot Noir

2015 Cherry Pie Three Vineyards Pinot Noir...$18.99
The 2015 Cherry Pie Pinot Noir jumps from the glass with aromas of raspberry, nutmeg, sandalwood and light smokiness, lifted by a floral note. Silky and delicate up front, with ripe acidity framing the rich, sweet flavors of red berries, and finishing with red cherry and earth.

Varietal: 100% Pinot Noir
Appellations: 72% Monterey County; 20% Sonoma Coast; 8% Santa Barbara County
Cooperage: 100% French Oak, 20% New

Combining three vineyards, each in its own distinct AVA, Cherry Pie Pinot Noir showcases the best of each unique flavor profile. The Rodgers Creek Vineyard, located in the Sonoma Coast AVA, rests on a ridge in the Petaluma Wind Gap; a low spot in the Sonoma Coast Range that allows a constant flow of cool air directly from the Pacific Ocean. Well-draining White Rhyolite Volcanic Ash soils allow the earthiness of the Pommard & 777 Clones to shine. The Alta Loma Vineyard is located in the Monterey County AVA, overlooking the Salinas River Valley and planted on Arroyo Seco gravelly loam soil. These sparse, well-drained soils reduce yields, creating rich, concentrated flavors in the fruit. The Los Alamos Vineyard lies tucked into a canyon in Santa Barbara County that leads directly to the Pacific Ocean. The sandy soils, bright sunshine and cool ocean breezes combine to lengthen fruit ripening and extend hang time, resulting in intense aromatics and great acidity.

Cherry Pie defines a winemaking approach and technique created by cult winemaker Jayson Woodbridge whereby a micro fermentation approach is applied to a single-vineyard wine. Each vineyard lot is fermented in open top oak puncheons to allow more complexity and variety in the phenolic, aromatic and flavor components of the wine. This micro-fermentation produces a completely unique representation of the fruit from each vineyard.

Bellisima Zero Sugar Sparkling Wine...$19.99

Made With Organic Grapes

By leaving our organic Glera grapes in autoclave for 7 months, we achieve a fresh sparkling wine with zero sugars or artificial flavors. Perfectly balanced and pleasantly acidic, it is velvety and dry, with hints of white flowers and grapefruit.

Neisson Agricole Rhum

Neisson Agricole Rhum Reserve Speciale...$64.99
Rums at the origin of this wine from a selection of different vintages.
No fewer than five different qualities of aged rums are components of this assembly, with aging put in over several years.
Rums behind the Special Reserve have aged between 50 and 60 months in barrels of less than 650 liters, with an average of 4 years and 5 months.  Initially, the white rums stay 6 months in new barrels of 350 liters, in Limousin oak. They are then transferred to older casks of various capacities and origins. Successive passes of the water spirits in barrels of different degrees of depletion ensure smooth extraction of perfume from the wooded character of oak lignin, while avoiding an excess tannins.
Reducing the alcohol content up to 42% takes place throughout the aging thanks to the annual two tools.

Serving suggestions:
Special Reserve appreciates pure, served in a snifter, or old punch with one stroke of the cane sugar syrup.

Agricole: French term for cane juice rum, a style of rum originally distilled in the French Caribbean islands from freshly squeezed sugar cane juice rather than molasses.

Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon...$53.99
"The finest bourbon in the world comes from a single barrel. That’s the way Colonel Albert B. Blanton first bottled his private reserve bourbon nearly a century ago. Blanton believed the “center-cut” or middle sections of Warehouse H were the best for aging his bourbon. Personally tasting and choosing each barrel, these barrels were reserved and bottled for ambassadors, dignitaries, family and friends becoming the world’s first single barrel bourbon. His time honored tradition lives on today as only a handful of barrels fro

m the center of Warehouse H are selected to become Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon."

Limit 1 per person

Eagle Rare 10 Year Bourbon....$31.99 / 750 ml
Eagle Rare Bourbon Whiskey is masterfully crafted and carefully aged for no less than ten years. Every barrel is discriminately selected to offer consistent flavor but with a seemingly individual personality. Eagle Rare is a bourbon that lives up to its name with its lofty, distinctive taste experience.

TASTING NOTES:  The nose is complex, with aromas of toffee, hints of orange peel, herbs, honey, leather and oak. The taste is bold, dry and delicate with notes of candied almonds and very rich cocoa. The finish is dry and lingering.

45% alcohol; 90 proof
A sensational Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, this single barrel project is a powerful, pedal-to-the-metal, balls-to-the-walls style of bourbon that has been aged 10 years and has 45% alcohol, which makes it 90 proof. Seemingly bigger than that in the mouth, it is full-bodied with lots of caramelized citrus, maple syrup, smoky crème brûlée and cappuccino-like notes as well as terrific fruit from the fermentation. The wood is only a complementary aspect of this velvety textured, full throttle bourbon. It appears to be a classic. 95 points

Jolly Pumpkin Bamarillo

Jolly Pumpkin Bamarillo...$4.99 / 375ml
SOUR FARMHOUSE ALE
ABV: 5.1%
HOPS: Cascade, Amarillo, & Crystal
GRAINS: Pilsner Malt, Pale Malt, Wheat Malt, Black Malt, Flaked Barley, & Crystal 75
The road to Amarillo is long for a dog with short legs.  Sometimes things happen.   Things like riding an armadillo.
Bamarillo uses the same grist bill as Bam Bière, but with half the amount of Crystal and Cascade hops. Amarillo hops were added in place for their rich, tropical fruit qualities. Bamarillo was aged in an oak foeder for three months, and in the final month of aging, pineapple puree was added to accentuate the hops fruity characteristics. Before packaging, Bamarillo was dry hopped with both Crystal and Amarillo hops. A fruity, dry, and drinkable ale. Bamarillo is there for you to make things happen.
One day Bam went down to Texas. Praying for surf. He didn’t set out to ride an armadillo. Who does, really?  He didn’t set out to have a veritable sea of chestnut trees either.  But along the road to Amarillo dry hopped saison, things happen. Things like riding an armadillo. And naming it Ben. Ben the armadillo. Ben there, done that.
Cheers & Mahalo plenty!
