2012 - Great Brunello Vintage!

2012 Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova..$99.99
The Casanova di Neri 2012 Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova is a beautiful wine that recalls many of the stunning characteristics found in its high-scoring predecessor. I gave a perfect 100 points to the 2010 edition of this same wine. This expression, made two years later, continues in that tradition of excellence. The quality of fruit is profound and intense. The bouquet offers black cherry, spice, leather, balsam herb, cola and licorice. The complexity is absolutely impressive. The mouthfeel, however, is slightly thinner. The classic 2010 vintage is remembered for its twofold punch of elegance and power. Alternatively, the 2012 vintage shows aromatic intensity and less persistence on the finish, generally speaking. Having said that, this remains one Bellissimo Brunello.

Curatolo Arini Marsala 1988 Riserva Storica

Curatolo Arini Marsala 1988 Riserva Storica...$33.99
STYLE: This selected blend of Grillo and Catarratto grapes has been the family’s well-regarded secret for years. Bright, gold coloured wine with intense amber hints and a complex nose of dates, apricot syrup and spices. Full, warm and velvety on the palate with notes of sultanas, caramel and burnt almonds and a very long finish. Our Riserva Storico is the perfect elegant dessert or 'meditation' wine.

VINEYARD:  the vineyards are located in the coastal region of Marsala where grapes have a higher propensity to natural oxidation and higher natural sugar levels, which gives elegance and richness to our wine.

VINTAGE 1988:  The summer was very dry and warm and by mid to late September, expectations were high for a very good vintage. An excellent year in Sicily that produced as a result this eclectic wine which is an expression of harmony.

WINEMAKING:  The process requires soft pressing and slow fermentation at a controlled temperature of 20 -25 °C. To the base wine, which is pale yellow in colour, is added table wine, mistella (fresh grape must with alcohol) and mosto cotto (cooked must). This complex mixture, together with the final alcohol content and the desired sugar level, gives us the traditional “Marsala” flavour.

2016 Grosset Springvale Riesling....$49.99
"As always, made using free-run juice, and fermented with a neutral cultured yeast, placing all the focus on the expression of variety and place. The bouquet is gloriously floral with sweet lemon blossom aromas, the palate with diamond-cut purity and clarity. Natural acidity is part of the DNA of this classic wine, underlining its spring day freshness."

Duplessis Chablis 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre

2014 Duplessis Chablis 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre...$39.99
Lowest price on Wine-Searcher is $42.99
The 2014 Chablis 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre has a very strict and linear, almost tertiary bouquet at first with subtle undergrowth aromas, but it gains intensity with aeration and develops a light white chocolate scent. The palate is well balanced with a saline entry with hints of dried honey and spice, gentle and harmonious; the finish was a little sweeter than I was anticipating. It is an attractive Chablis, although I would put my money on the Fourchaume for the long term.

Public House Frisco 1501 Historic Lager

Public House Frisco 1501 Historic Lager...$7.99 / 6pk
Inspired by the old iron workhorses that rumbled down the Frisco Railroad, this beer is named after Frisco 1501, a steam engine that now proudly rests in Rolla, Mo. Our original 3.5-barrel R&D Brewery is located along the Frisco Railroad line and Route 66, both of which encapsulate the freedom and hard-working spirit of our country. This California Common style beer originated in San Francisco during the gold rush era.
For this copper-colored beer, we use a lager yeast and ferment it at warmer ale temperatures to yield a unique flavor and mouthfeel. It's a lightly fruity beer with firm, grainy maltiness and interesting toasty and caramel flavors. It showcases rustic traditional American hop characteristics.

Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style Bourbon...$54.99
This 115 proof expression is the third release in our Old Forester Whiskey Row series and celebrates the brand’s continued distillation during Prohibition. For 13 years, the production, transport and sale of alcohol was strictly prohibited. However, Old Forester was granted a permit to continue distilling on Louisville’s Whiskey Row. The 115 proof expression represents a barrel sample that company president Owsley Brown I would have batched at the beginning of Prohibition.

Old Forester 1897 Bourbon Bottled in Bond...$46.99
100 Proof
BIG FLAVOR. SMALL BATCH.
This 100 proof expression is the second release in our Old Forester Whiskey Row Series was specially crafted to honor the U.S. Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. After the U.S. Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897 to be labeled as Bottled in Bond, whisky must be the product of one distillation season, one distiller and from one distillery. The concept behind the Act – the idea of “sealed-in quality” – was something that Old Forester – America’s First Bottled Bourbon – introduced in 1870.

Old Forester 1870 Original Batch...$42.99
BOURBON JUST DOESN’T GET MORE ORIGINAL
Old Forester 1870 Original Batch echoes George Garvin Brown’s original 1870 batching process. Back then, Brown batched barrels obtained from three distilleries to create a consistent flavor profile. To emulate that process today, we also select barrels from three warehouses, each barrel originating from a different day of production, with a different entry proof and a different age profile.
The three expressions of Old Forester are then batched together to craft Old Forester 1870 Original Batch. This 90-proof bourbon will be minimally filtered, to honor the processes available to George Garvin Brown at that time.

Old Forester Classic 86 Proof Bourbon
Created in 1870, Old Forester is the only bourbon continuously distilled and marketed by the founding family before, during and after Prohibition. At 86 proof, Old Forester delivers a genuine bourbon experience, with rich, full flavor and a smooth character that is ideal for sipping neat, on the rock, with a splash of water or in a classic cocktail.

Old Forester Signature Kentucky Bourbon 100 proof
Robust. It's everything a mature bourbon lover thirsts for. Even spicier and more robust than the 86-proof, Old Forester Signature is bottled at 100 proof to maintain its distinct character and flavor profile.

You can order Old Forester online too.

2013 Montevertine Le Pergole Torte...$119.99 750ml
2013 Montevertine Le Pergole Torte...$266.99 Magnum
2013 Montevertine Le Pergole Torte...$559.99 3 Liter
Perhaps no Tuscan wine is a better vintage ambassador than the Montevertine 2013 Le Pergole Torte. This gorgeous wine seems to have captured the energy, the freshness, the spirt and the edginess of this classic vintage. It really speaks to my palate thanks to its silky consistency, its steady aromatic momentum and its understated elegance. The wine shows an uncanny level of the proverbial Tuscan nobility. The bouquet offers a delicate embroidery of wild berry and underbrush, with lingering tones of dark fruit and spice that appear on second nose. The mouthfeel is ethereal and polished with tannins that already show a superior level of integration despite the wine's young age. The aging future looks very bright for the 2013 Le Pergole Torte.

Panama Pacific Aged Rum

This is not Solera - the 9 year old is ALL AT LEAST 9 YEARS OLD and the 23 year old is
ALL AT LEAST 23 YEARS OLD.

Panama Pacific 9 Year Old Rum (47.3% ABV)....$27.99
Panama Pacific 23 Year Old Rum (42.3% ABV)...$52.99
Exposición Panamá-Pacific Rum is a Spanish-style molasses-derived rum made at the Ingenio San Carlos distillery in Panama. Production of our rum begins deep in the country’s interior, in the Provencia de Herrera region, where we harvest our sugarcane only during its optimal maturity, between the months of January and May. Once harvested, we must extract the vibrant sugarcane’s succulent juices within a short twelve-hour window in order to retain their bright, fresh sweetness.

The extracted cane juices are then evaporated into a rich, delicious molasses, to which we add our own special proprietary yeasts in order to ferment the sugars over two days into a low-alcohol molasses mash which will then be strengthened through distillation. In keeping with early rum production traditions originally applied in Cuba, we then distill the molasses in our historic Coffey copper column still to a slightly lower proof than is normally achieved in other distilleries, creating our rum’s signature richer, fuller flavor and character.

After distillation, we rest the fresh cane spirit in Kentucky bourbon casks initially for three years. Samples of that young rum are then carefully reviewed to determine integrity for a potentially longer aging regimen. Those rum selections deemed worthy of an extended maturation are then transferred into exhausted Tennessee whiskey barrels, whose oak flavors are more depleted, for a gentle imparting of vanilla, caramel and butterscotch notes without over-dominating our balanced cane and molasses essence. During this long aging, the rum rests in horizontally-stacked casks until optimal flavors are attained.

Panama’s year-round hot and humid climate of an average 35° C (95° F) is the perfect environment for our rum to mature under the careful supervision of our always attentive quality control team. We bottle no rum until it has entirely achieved the stated age… Panamá-Pacific’s age statement reflects the youngest rum in the blend, not just a portion of it.

Lost Coast Brewery from California

Lost Coast Great White...$8.49 / 6 pack
ABV 4.80%
Great White is the beer that started it all – it’s the original gangsta. And it remains one of our very favorites to this day. Crisp and refreshing, it’s everything you could ever want from a Belgian-style white. It’s full-bodied, unfiltered, and goes down oh-so smooth. The hint of citrus and coriander sets it apart from other Belgian whites.

Lost Coast Sharkinator White IPA...$8.49 / 6 pack
ABV 4.80%
Think Great White, only bigger and much, much bolder. We’re talking next level sharkage. Sink your teeth into the dry hopped Cascade, Crystal, and Citra hops that get a wonderful citrus aroma and a nice hoppy finish. It’s the perfect beer for anyone who’s not afraid of a little (or big) bite.

Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat...$8.49 / 6 pack
ABV 5.50%
Let’s just put it this way: If you’re ever going to have an impromptu pool party at a complete stranger’s house, this is the beer you’ll want to be swigging when you get caught. Brewed with the perfect balance of wheat and crystal malts, our Tangerine Wheat delivers a perfectly crisp finish for those hot summer days. It’s got that classic Lost Coast wheat flavor, with a kick of citrus to help jump-start the party.

Lost Coast Watermelon Wheat...$8.49 / 6 pack

A refreshing watermelon ale that combines our Harvest Wheat with natural watermelon essence for exemplary aromatics while maintaining a light, crisp and refreshing flavors. Brewed with a combination of wheat and crystal malts; unfiltered.
Original Gravity: 1.050

Lost Coast Fogcutter Double IPA...$9.99 / 6 pack
ABV 8.70%
Buckle up, buckaroo – you’re about to go on a wild, hoppy ride. The Fogcutter is our first true double IPA, and it’s quite the work of art. Yeah, it’s bitter, but it’s supposed to be. And the variety of malt flavors and aroma help balance it all out, as any good DIPA deserves. The bright, citrusy nose is born from the extra dry-hop from Cascade, Centennial, Crystal, Chinook, and Citra hops.
