Left Hand Chainsaw...$8.79 / 22oz
Double Sawtooth
"Many times we've heard, "More is not always better." Invariably the person on the receiving end of such a statement scowls at the ramifications. Here at Left Hand we realize that life can neither be reduced to nor understood in absolute temrs. We take exceptiona with such broad statements about the human condition. Chainsaw is a connoisseur version of our award winning Sawtooth Ale, designed to befuddle silly generalizations about life. We hope you enjoy!"
--The Brewers at Left Hand

JuJu Ginger is now a seasonal and now in 6 packs!
Left Hand Juju Ale...$9.39 / 6pk
"Welcome to Good Juju Ale, Left Hand Brewing Company’s spring/summer seasonal, available throughout the longer, lazier days of summer that are just around the corner. Good Juju pours a clear, golden color with a rather thick white head. The ginger makes itself known in the nose right from the start, allowing a fresh and clean beginning to this most refreshing beer. Incredibly smooth mouthfeel, with the flavors going straight down the middle of your tongue. The addition of Biker Dude Hawaiian organic ginger root ties in well with the Centennial, US Golding and Sterling hops, allowing for a distinctive, crisp, drinkable beer. Incredibly light-bodied, with a bit of sweetness from the malt backbone, Good Juju finishes very mellow - the perfect thirst quencher on a hot summer day." -- Left Hand

Limited bargains.....Kermit Lynch!

Amazing values --- just in stock!
From the great Kermit Lynch!!

2007 Regis Minet Pouilly Fume....$13.99
Compare to Wine Library on Wine-Searcher...$19.98
"This has nice cut, with piercing thyme, lemon zest, chive flower and sea salt notes that crackle through the tangy finish. A bit bony now, but should settle in nicely. Drink now through 2011. 1,400 cases imported. –JM"

Rated 91/100 The Wine Spectator

2006 Domaine Costal Chablis "Les Truffieres"....$16.99
Best price on Wine-Searcher...$24 at Benchmark Wine
"I must say that if you’re looking for clean, crisp, Chardonnay with wonderful minerality, our Chablis selection in this sale can’t be beat. The 2006 Domaine Costal Chablis “Les Truffières” is an excellent example of Chardonnay grown in the typical kimmeridgian clay/marine fossil soil of the appellation. The name “Truffières” comes from an essence of truffles that you can find on the nose despite the fact that there are no actual truffles in Chablis. Vinified in no wood whatsoever, this Chablis smells incredibly fresh and fragrant, with a crisp, lingering finish. Delicious by itself, the Costal Chablis would pair very nicely with any cut of fresh fish." -- Kermit Lynch website

2007 Domaine de la Cadette La Chatelaine Bourgogne Vezelay...$12.99
Best price on Wine-Searcher - $19.99 at Houston Wine Merchant
"Montanet’s 2007 Bourgogne Vezelay La Chatelaine – the latest installment of what has become a consistently excellent value in white Burgundy – emphasizes the saline, chalky, lemony aspects of its vintage and terroir, but intriguing suggestions of herbed chicken stock and shrimp shell reduction emerge, especially as one matches this with a wide range of cuisine. There have been richer and more concentrated vintages of this wine, but the clarity and sheer lip-smacking refreshment of this 2007 are hard to beat for the price, and should remain accessible for at least 2-3 years. Readers are encouraged to consult my reports in issues 178 and 179 on the inspiring progress of Jean Montanet’s Domaine de la Cadette in the historically important and now much-revived growing area centered around Vezelay, southeast of Chablis."
Rated 89/100 The Wine Advocate

2006 Perrusset Macon Villages.....$6.99
Lowest price on Wine Searcher -- $12.50
"($17) Yellow-gold. Ripe peach and nectarine aromas betray a touch of warmth. Fleshy pit fruit flavors are brightened by citrus zest, picking up dusty minerals on the close. Offers pleasant, straightforward appeal and surprising depth for the category. 88 points"
Rated 88/100 Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar

Tiza Malbec

Our second vintage of Tiza has arrived....
2006 Tiza, Malbec Mendoza...$19.99

Made from 100% Malbec, hand-harvested.

We had great success with the 2005 and now that the 2006 is here, the train keeps rolling. Most agree this is even better than the outstanding 2005.

Aged in new French oak barrels for 12 months. This wine offers a great intense and complex nose of wild berries and red ripe fruit with subtle spicy notes. Superb fruit flavors combine perfectly with toasty notes providing great structure, character, and a long finish." -- importer

"A creamy texture carries blackberry, boysenberry and black currant fruit in this dark, lush red."-Wine Spectator 500 GREAT BUYS-90pts
