Introducing Mending Wall

Introducing Mending Wall, a superstar cult wine collaboration, brand new to Missouri!
"This beautiful, new winery on the Silverado Trail...is a who’s who of Napa Valley for sure!"
-Robert M. Parker Jr.

Mending Wall is a new small production Napa wine project headed by Frank Dotzler (of Outpost), Mark Pulido and Donna Walker (of Pulido-Walker), Thomas Rivers Brown (of Schrader), and Genevieve Marie Welsh (of Rivers-Marie).

Currently in stock at Rock Hill only
2016 Mortar & Stone Red Proprietary Red.....$49.99
123 Cases produced, Not rated
Combining the power of Mountain-grown Zinfandel with the voluptuous texture of Calistoga Petite Sirah can be magical. Mending Wall Mortar and Stone is a stunning example of this. The Zinfandel arose from a special vineyard atop Altas Peak, and the Petite Sirah comes from one of the most celebrated vineyards for that varietal in the New World, Palisades Vineyard.

2015 Mending Wall Napa Valley Cabernet.....$83.99
524 Cases produced, Not Rated
Delicately perfumed and impeccably balanced, the 2015 Mending Wall Cabernet Sauvignon is the best, most complete version of this wine to date. Bright red fruit sits on top of a bed of finely grained tannin that gives the wine structure & mouthfeel without being drying. Approachable on release, this wine only improves in the glass and should drink well for the next 8-10 years.

2017 Mending Wall Cabernet Tournahu Vineyard.....$119.99
294 Cases Produced
The 2017 takes everything we loved about the 2016 and amplifies it. The midpalate has wonderful depth and power, while the ripe, fine tannins provide structure and length without being obvious or drying. The 2017 is cut from the same cloth as the 2016 and offers a full-bodied, rich, smoky, meaty edge as well as lots of herbal, tobacco, and walnut nuances. Accessible now with a few hours in the in decanter, this wine has composition to age gracefully for at least a decade or more.
There’s a ripe herb/herbal edge in the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Tournahu Vineyard, which comes from a vineyard on the valley floor located on an old riverbed. Lots of black fruits, salted meats, and cured black olives define the bouquet, and it’s full-bodied, concentrated, and structured on the palate. It’s a serious wine that will benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and keep for 15-20.

Mother's Brewing Chug Chug Suckle Suckle Double NE IPA

Mother's Brewing Chug Chug Suckle Suckle Double NE IPA...$12.99 / 4pk cans

Inspired by the overwhelming embrace of our New England IPA, Sunshine Chugsuckle, Mother’s took the natural next step: a super-juicy double IPA pushing the limits of flavor and aroma. Get a dose of Chug Chug Suckle Suckle, a hazy juice bomb with massive hop aroma of mango, papaya, and citrus fruit, courtesy of an insane amount of Citra, Mosaic, Cashmere, and Centennial hops. A touch of oats and wheat provide a soft, creamy body with a mild sweetness. The flavor and drinkability may say ‘chug,’ but the 10% abv means suckling is the best option. How very like your Mother’s to urge restraint when the beer exhorts indulgence.
PROFILE: Waves of massive hop aroma and flavor suggesting mango, papaya, and citrus fruit supported by a soft and subtly sweet malt body.

Stone UNFILTERED IPA - Enjoy by 07.04.20

Stone Enjoy By Unfiltered IPA...$15.99 / 6pk
For this version of Stone Enjoy By IPA we thought: “We don’t always have a filter, so why should our beer?” By skipping a step and letting this devastatingly fresh, golden-hued double IPA go un filtered, the beer takes on a hazy appearance and its peach and tropical fruit hop aroma are intensified. So though it may sound like it, this missed step was no misstep.
Like the other IPAs in this series, this version is brewed specifically NOT to last.

Toppling Goliath Psuedo Sue...$9.99 / 4pk 16oz

Pale Ale – 6.8% ABV • 45 IBU

Canned 6/12
Toppling Goliath King Sue...$16.99 / 4pk 16oz

Double India Pale Ale – 7.8% ABV • 100+ IBU

Claude Riffault Sancerre “Les Boucauds”

A 95 Point Organic Sancerre from rock star producer Claude Riffault!
2018 Claude Riffault Sancerre “Les Boucauds”...$24.99
The certified organic Les Boucauds vineyards are located on hillsides with a vine age of 30-40 years and they began the transition to biodynamic farming in 2018. After hand harvesting, 80% of the juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain the fresh fruit characteristics and 20% is fermented in barrel; each parcel is then aged separately for 7-8 months before being blended and bottled in early summer. Light gold, touch of honey, gooseberry and pineapple notes, vibrant and long finish. Scents of pure apple fruit, florals. Good transparency of place yet with richness and depth of lees coming from winemaking. Lovely phenolic texture. Light peach and citrus notes. The palate has real harmony, with elegantly creamed white peach and citrus fruits, cut with minerally energy and fresh acidity, giving it a real sense of panache and style.

Highland Park 25 Year Old

Highland Park 25 Year Old....$599.99
ABV : 46%
Naturally rich and golden in colour, this remarkably complex expression of Highland Park delivers a deliciously rich, smoky sweetness. Created from less than 20 casks including sherry seasoned European oak casks, combined with first-fill Bourbon casks and refill casks, hand selected by Gordon Motion, our Master Whisky Maker.

Our Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion, has only a very small pool of casks from which to select the 20 casks he needed to create the Spring 2019 release of our 25 YEAR OLD. Working within such limited resources presents interesting challenges as, over time, each cask develops its own distinctive character. Gordon’s role is to explore the natural – and sometimes surprising – variations that each cask reveals, selecting only those he knows will marry well together to deliver the optimum combination of colour, flavour and finish.

From release to release, a rich thread of continuity runs through Highland Park 25 YEAR OLD as well as subtle differences that we are proud to highlight and celebrate. These are a reflection of the honesty with which we make our whisky and a mark of its true character – and our own.

Aged in Sherry Oak Casks.
ABV 45.7% ABV
30 years ago, our master distiller decided to lay down the casks that would go on to become the heart of this exceptional whisky and over these three decades, the whisky maturing inside them has developed an outstanding balance, with a seductive sweetness and extremely delicate smoke. Treating this whisky with respect will reward you with breath taking results: characteristic fudge sweetness comes together with complex aromatic spices and dark chocolate orange. It has a drying finish, leaving a gentle smoky flavour and an incredibly lengthy finish.

Gran Patron Piedra Tequila...$319.99
Compare to $329.99 at Total Wine and More

This extraordinary extra añejo tequila is crafted entirely from the “Tahona” process, a time consuming and ancient method for creating tequila. To produce Gran Patrón Piedra, first we select the highest-quality, 100 percent agave from the Highlands of Jalisco, which we then steam-cook and slowly crush with a large volcanic stone Tahona wheel. The resulting juice is then fermented and distilled along with the agave fiber. Piedra, which means “stone” in Spanish, is one of very few tequilas that is still produced in this age-old way. After distillation, Gran Patrón Piedra is meticulously aged for more than three years in new American and French oak barrels for a deep mahogany color and sweet, subtle aroma of fruit, fresh mushroom, light citrus, and toasted French oak. The distinctive Gran Patrón Piedra bottle, which was inspired by the Tahona stone, is packaged in an elegant box that converts into a beautiful display case.
COLOR:  Deep mahogany
AROMA:  Sweet, smooth aroma of fresh fruit, fresh mushroom, light citrus, and toasted French oak
TASTE:Sweet, yet rich and complex, combining an herbaceous agave flavor with light vanilla, and fresh mushroom
FINISH:  Long-lasting and remarkably smooth

The taste is smooth and sweet; with great body and a long-lasting finish, it offers notes of oak, light agave, vanilla and raisins. Gran Patrón Burdeos is beautifully packaged in a crystal bottle placed inside a handsome rounded display case that accentuates the dark color of the añejo tequila.

Cramele Recas Amber Natural Wine - Orange Wine

2019 Cramele Recas Amber Natural Wine .... $11.99
#1 Natural wine in Europe
Dark straw color with orange hints, the nose is a delicate mélange of quince, Williams pear and a hint of vanilla. A complex and structured wine, with elegant but discreet fruit flavors of stone fruits, backed up with a powerful tannin structure and long finish. A perfect wine for lovers of natural products, with minimal intervention, balanced and structured yet pure and fresh, the lack of sulfur dioxide in this type of wines re-defines what to expect from the taste profile of white wines and provides a delicious alternative to discerning wine lovers who wish to find something different from mainstream commercial wines.

Amber is another term for Orange Wine.  The U.S. does not allow you to put "Orange Wine" on the label.  They think people will be confused and that the wine is made from oranges.
A totally naturally made wine (no additions, no added sulphites), from organically grown (but not certified) grapes. Around 25 days (3.5 weeks) of skin contact during the fermentation. Bottled unfiltered.
