Nogne Dark Horizon Third Edition...$11.99 / 8.5 oz

"Best described as an imperial stout on steroids, this dark and rich brew is sweet enough to be your dessert or accompany your richest crème caramel. Due to its strength and concentrated flavor it is best shared." -- brewery

Ingredients: Grimstad water, malted barley, sugars, coffee, hops, yeasr.

Nogne Sweet Horizon...$11.99 / 8.5oz
14% ABV - 100 IBUs
"Sweet Horizon is dessert for the ones with a sweet tooth. Black and velvety, with hints of sweet chocolate, fruit, coffee, licorice…..mmmmm! But remember, this is dessert, so do not try to have dessert with it!" -- brewery

“Sweet Horizon gets it sweetness from various sugars and syrups. It is hard to compare it to any beers, but I think if you use DH1 as reference, and imagine that with more coffee and dark sugars, it is almost like a liqueur.” -- Beernews.org

Ingredients: Grimstad water, malted barley, sugars, coffee, hops, yeast.

Nogne Red Horizon...$11.99 / 8.5oz
17% ABV
We brewed this ale only with the famous sake yeast No. 7 from Masumi Sake in Nagano, Japan. On advice from Masumi’s master brewers we fermented this ale very slowly at low temperatures to bring out No. 7’s fabulously fruity character. This is a beer, but has some flavors found in a sake. A great combination!

Ingredients: Grimstad water, malted barley, malted wheat, hops and sake yeast No 7.

Winter seasonal....

In stock now... Great Divide Hibernation....$9.99 / 6pk
"Great Divide’s award-winning Hibernation Ale is Colorado’s original strong ale – it has been our winter seasonal each year since 1995. Since that time, Hibernation has become the most sought-after winter beer in Colorado. Hibernation’s massive flavors are so intense that it requires over three months of aging each year. Each summer, while our brewers are still spending their weekends in flip-flops and shorts, they prepare for July’s Hibernation brewing schedule.
We cellar Hibernation until late October, when it reaches the peak of perfection. This lengthy aging process gives Hibernation its revered malty richness, complex hop profile and hearty warming character, which is perfect right out of the bottle or cellared for longer periods of time. Hibernation is a lively treat that really beats the winter chill. This scrumptious, collectible, and imminently cellarable ale is only available for six weeks each year, from November 1 to December 15. Hibernation Ale is the perfect gift or accompaniment to your winter festivities." -- Great Divide

Kaimai from New Zealand

Available online now

A new brewery from New Zealand: established in 2009

Kaimai Porter's Rye Ale....$4.99 / 11.2oz
"Our dark ale is crafted from rye, New Zealand malts and hops, yeast and pure New Zealand water. It is rich and lively with roasted malt notes that fill the mouth with a punch finish." -- label
"It’ no secret that rye makes for a great tasting beer – in fact its use in brewing can be traced back to medieval times. However it is only recently that Rye Beer has been produced in any great quantity. That’s because the brew actually disappeared for 500 years.

Originating in the Bavarian region of the Southern Germany during the Middle Ages, Rye beer became a staple beverage. But in 1516 a law was passed, following a period of bad harvests, which ruled that rye could only be used to bake bread. Rye beer didn’t reappear again until 1988, after a repeating of the law by the European Court of Justice.

Crafting Rye beer involves combining rye malt with traditional brewing base of barley malt. Its inclusion presents a challenge to the brewer as extracting sugars from the huskless grain is technically difficult, however achieving this creates a distinctive crisp of flavour with a unique smooth silky sensation on the palate.

Kaimai Brewing Company, New Zealand‘s only brewery specialising in rye, is proud to offer you an innovative range of Rye beers. We hope you enjoy." --

Dieu du Ciel 2010 new releases....

BACK IN STOCK!

Available online now

We only got 24 bottles this year....
Dieu du Ciel Aphrodite...$4.99 / 11oz
Black ale with aromas and flavours of vanilla, dark chocolate, bourbon and roasted malt. The vanilla and cocoa marry nicely, without out-competing each other, to produce a surprisingly well balanced beer. This beer is mildly hoppy, but the cocoa introduces a touch of bitterness. Its colour may be intimidating, but it is a very smooth beer within reach of most beer drinkers. This highly appreciated dessert beer is brewed with organic fair-trade cocoa and first rate vanilla beans.

Dieu du Ciel Solstice d'Hiver....$4.99 / 11oz
Solstice d'hiver (Winter solstice)
Barley Wine - 9% alc./vol.

"This noble winter beer is brown in colour with flaming red highlights. Its taste is delicately sweet and liquor-like with a hint of burnt caramel coming from the malt and a prolonged boiling time. It is a very bitter beer with aromas of hops and alcohol, and flavours reminiscent of red fruit brought by the English-type yeast we use to ferment it. The aftertaste is accentuated by the wonderful flavour of hops. Solstice d’Hiver is brewed only once a year, and is then aged for 4 to 5 months before being sold. This aging process is necessary to achieve an ideal equilibrium between the sharp bitterness and the other flavours in the beer." -- Brewery

Solstice d'hiver is brewed only once a year, at the end of the summer. It is then aged for a few months in order to attain a perfect balance in taste. Then, it is sold starting mid-December of each year, until stocks last.

Ridgeqay Querkus

Also online now

Ridgeway Querkus Smoked Oaked Porter....$4.99 pint

"To get a subtle smokiness we brew with Scottish peated whisky malt, English pale and roasted malts and boil with only whole Goldings hops. Querkus is then patiently cold matured over chunks of old French Oak barrels. Flavours from the toasted wood slowly seep in and wee wait; judging only by taste exactly when to bottle." -- label

Super rare Oude Lambiek

Sorry, we sold out

Only 36 bottles came into Missouri!!! We only got 6 bottles

I honestly dont know much about this one, but it looks like the first time it has left Belgium (according to RateBeer)

3 years old
De Cam Oude Lambiek....$31.99 / 750ml
"Exclusief"
Rated 99/100 on RateBeer
"Aged in vats of more than 100 years old, De Cam's Oude Lambiek is a blend of unpasteurized 3 year old lambics specially selected by brewer/blender Karel Goddeau for their character and roundness. Still without a head, OUDE LAMBIEK should be chilled and enjoyed like a fine white wine but prized for the wondrful, rare, spontaneously fermented Belgian Ale that it is. Proost!" -- label

Fresh Bells Two Hearted

FRESH!!!
Only 1 week old!
Bells Two Hearted Ale in stock at Forsyth
Bottled 11/22/10 --- Batch #10103
Two Hearted Ale is defined by its intense hop aroma and malt balance. Hopped exclusively with the Centennial hop varietal from the Pacific Northwest, massive additions in the kettle and again in the fermenter lend their characteristic grapefruit and pine resin aromas. A significant malt body balances this hop presence; together with the signature fruity aromas of Bell's house yeast, this leads to a remarkably drinkable American-style India Pale Ale.

Schlafly 2010 is here

2010 just arrrived!!

Schlafly Reserve Imperial Stout Bourbon Barrel 2010

Fantome is back...

The Fantome is back!
Available online

Fantome Chocolat....$14.99 / 750ml
"A Belgian saison beer brewed with cocoa powder and chili pepper? Ay, caramba! Score another one for the unpredictable brewery that was the first -- and so far, the only -- to make ales out of dandelions and mushrooms, among other things.
Fantome brewer dany Prignon confounds once again. With a name like 'Chocolat,' surely we have a deep, dark, rich beer -- a stout, perhaps? Wrong again!
Fantome Chocolat is actually pale in color, and the essence of the cocoa is very subtle, but experts agree that this is one of Dany's best beers yet. Naturally, it will be exceedingly rare. If you can find it, buy it." -- importer

Fantome Saison....$13.99 / 750ml
Date Code: D J 13
Fruity, complex saison beer from the Ardennes forest from a tiny farmhouse brewery very hard to find even in Belgium.
8% alc. by volume, with a wonderfully musty and characterful aroma. “Absolutely gorgeous, complex summer refresher with enough interest to drink all year-round.” (The Beers of Wallonia). Both authors give this beer a perfect 10. We would not give it a 10 (even if we knew what that meant) but there are drinkers out there who believe this is the “Nectar of the Gods.” Certainly, no other brewer makes beer like this, in Belgium or anywhere.
How many beers of 8% plus offer such fresh fruitiness? A solid Belgian saison beer at its base, with an unusual overlay of fruitiness.

Fantome Dark White....$14.99 / 750ml

Date Code E O 13
Cannot find too much info about this one, except that it was brewed in 2006 and was specially produced for auction to raise money for a very sick little French girl. Saison brewed with pepper and spices.

Smoke without fire....

Available online also

Haandbryggeriet Royk Uten Ild....$8.49
"Smoke without Fire"
Rated 94/100 RateBeer
batch #273
Only 1080 bottles made
Røyk Uten Ild (smoke without fire) is our smoky beer, here we have tried to make a beer as smoky as we can using our smoked malt from Weiermann. We have made a fairly dark and flavourful beer. Apart from the special malt the rest of the malt bill (86%) is smoked malt. You could also say that this is a smoked wheat beer, because we have used our wheat beer yeast here. The beer is not scary but actually very nice even for those that arnt smoke beer fanatics....try it and you will see.
