From the students of Mikkel

To Øl is a new brewery from two students of Mikkel of Mikkeller.  They used to brew with him when they were in High School.   Wouldn't it have been nice to brew beer in High School.

In stock at Forsyth and online now
To Øl First Frontier IPA...$4.79 / 11.2oz
"The starting point for First Frontier is to create an IPA "the American way" without a sickly sweet malt profile that removes the focus from the IPA is really about: the potent and aromatic hops. The result is a nice dry, crisp and bitter IPA, which is hopped with the three American hop varieties Warrior, Simcoe, and Centennial, which gives a hint of citrus, peach and grapefruit. Added is a little caramel malt, which is just there to harness and balance the alcohol, which is at 7.1%.
”We all got pieces of crazy in us, some bigger pieces than others.”

Ingredients: Water, Malt, Oats, Hops (Warrior, Simcoe, Centennial), yeast.
Alc. / Vol. 7.1%. Contents: 330 ml / 11.2 FL OZ
Brewed by Brouwerij De Proef, Lochristi-Hijfte, Belgium.

History of To Øl
"In 2005, sat Tobias Emil Jensen and Tore Gynther to a party at their old high school with their teacher Mikkel Borg Mountains and spat out a pair of sickly lager. The three talked about that it was too bad that you could not get some decent beer and agreed that the only way to ensure quality was to brew it yourself. They were allowed to borrow the canteen in the school's closing and began to brew. This meant however that most of the brew was made between the hours of 22 and 6 on weekdays, which resulted in some hard school day for both the two pupils and the teacher, but the beer was appreciated by all the school (near the school canteen, who grumbled about the mess .)

Later Mikkel created  brewery Mikkeller , which has garnered wide international recognition, while Tobias and Tore moved their production into their parents' basement after they had gone out of high school. Here they continued to hand brew until in 2010 found that two beers were now ripe to make its first commercial brew. The rumor spread and when it came Mikkel's ear, he insisted on making a collaborative brew between Mikkeller and Two Beers, who became the first beer Two release - Overall IIPA .

Beer
Two Beer wants to make potent beer that tastes through and the character. Beer that you can not forget when you've tasted them (except if you have had too many of them). We make beer that has edge and nerve and prioritizes quality far ahead of quantity. In short, we seek to create the world's best beer.

The vision
When we started this brewery, we wrote down some visions of what we want with the brewery. We want to:

Give beer something youth - we are tired of hearing about all the breweries that have existed for over 100 years - as if it has ever done a queasy lager better that it has been brewed for 100 years! We do not brew beer according to old recipes, we brew beer based on the present moment and do not think we are better than the last beer we've made. Meanwhile, the market filled with soft sweet fruit beer 'for young people' - we believe that young love delicious potent beer (we do in every case itself).

Never in the supermarket - Our starting point for this brewery is making the best beer and not being the most widespread brewing.

Garden edge and nervous - We want to provoke and move on people ølforståelse. We also want everyone to have fun. It should never be so seriously that we forget that it is beer, not politics, we are dealing with.

Let beer be a good story - we will certainly make a lot of good stories, videos and features, but ultimately it must be the beer that is the best story.
