“Mad Beer is a collaborative beer brand from Chef Jakob Mielcke (Restaurant Mielcke and Hurtigkarl, Frederiksberg, Denmark) and Brewer Mikkel Borg Bjergsø from Mikkeller. The aim is to combine the best of two worlds: food & beer. Jakob’s knowledge and great understanding of flavors combined with Mikkel’s innovative and uncompromising approach to beer making brings a unique and conceptual line of beers brewed specifically to be enjoyed with food.



MAD Beer Salt....$10.99 / 750ml
salt (sawlt) A crystalline compound, is abundant in nature, and is used especially to season or preserve food.

Ingredients: water, malt (pale, cara-munich l), candy light sugar, hops (styrian goldings, hallertauer), ume plums, salt, ale yeast and brettanomyces.”
Style: Wild Ale
ABV: 4.50%




MAD Beer Bitter....$11.99 / 750ml
bit•ter (bit-er) Having a harsh, disagreeably acrid taste, like that of aspirin, quinine, wormwood, or aloes.
Ingredients: water, malt (pearl), glucose, hops (amarillo, citra, centennial, simcoe, columbus), and shiso.”
Style: IPA
ABV: 6.90%



MAD Beer Sur...$19.99 / 750ml
Sour (souuhr, sou-er) Having an acid taste, resembling that of vinegar, lemon juice, etc.; tart.
Ingredients: water, malt (pale), unmalted wheat, yuzu, old hops and wild yeast.”
Style: Wild Ale
ABV: 5.00%



MAD Beer Sod....$10.99 / 750ml
sweet (sweet) Having the taste of flavor characteristic of sugar, honey, etc.
Ingredients: water, malt (maris otter, brown, cara-crystal, chocolate, pale chocolate), popcorn, lactose, dark cassonade sugar, hops (centennial, saaz, tomahawk) and ale yeast.”
Style: Porter
ABV: 6.70%





MAD Beer Umami....$10.99 / 750ml
u•ma•mi (oo-mah-mee) A strong meaty tasted imparted by glutamate and certain other amino acids.
Ingredients: water, malt (pilsner, cara-pilsner, munich 1), hops (saaz, hallertauer, tettnanger, spalt select), søl and lager yeast.
Style: Imperial Pilsener
ABV: 6.30%
