2015 Chateau Tour Bel Air Haut Medoc Plenitude...$21.99
In 2006, four friends, agricultural engineers, joined forces to buy Médoc vines in Cissac: The Château Tour Bel Air, with its appellation Haut Médoc, vintage craftsmanship, human-scale vineyard of seven and one-half hectares of vines.  The terroir is five kilometers away from the Gironde, near Saint Estèphe and Pauillac. The grape varietals consist mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The cultivation of the vineyard is conducted reasonably and traditionally: low vines with high density, double guyot trimming, partially manual leaf stripping.  We very carefully cultivate the vines in order to protect the plants. The harvest is done partly by hand for the old vines, among friends, and the rest with the help of machines. The grapes macerate for about five to six weeks in tanks. The wine is then vinified for twenty months, including ten months in oak barrels.
