Derivation #4 Release

EMAILS SENT OUT!! Thank you everyone!!

Update on Side Project Derivation #4
Getting a lot of questions, so I thought I would post an update to answer many of the same questions....

We again want to thank Cory and Karen King of Side Project!
We are so excited to get these beers and feel very lucky to get them!
Make sure you follow them on Twitter to stay tuned for their releases.
Side Project Brewing
Side Project Derivation #4
Key Points:

  • 324 bottles available from The Wine and Cheese Place
  • Deadline to purchase on your BRC account for this release is 7pm this Saturday.
  • This release includes all purchases:  beer, wine, whiskey, cheese, nuts, vodka....
  • The time frame for the report is October 13-December 5
  • We are also rewarding the top 30 beer only customers from the last print out of our old POS system.  To reward those that supported during the 6 months leading up to October 13.  They have a potential to get 2 bottles, one from the old system and one from the new system.
  • Also will be adding the double points from purchases made at our Beer Fest from earlier in the year.  So, that could give those that supported the beer fest an extra jump up.
  • We are no longer giving updates on where you rank or how much you need to spend to get a bottle.  After getting feedback from the previous Side Project Release we decided it was not fair for people to come in on the last day and spend what they need to get a bottle.  The goal of the BRC was to reward regulars that shop each week.

Derivation Blend #4
15% ABV
Blend of a Munich Imperial Stout aged in (2) TWCP Willet 11yr barrels for 22 months and an Oatmeal Imperial Stout aged in (3) Side Project Elijah Craig 12 bourbon barrels for 18 months. Derivation is our series of barrel aged Imperial Stouts in which we take a variety of recipes aged in a variety of barrels and blend back in an attempt to make an exceptional and unique barrel aged stout. Derivation #4 showcased 2 Imperial Stouts in which the barrel was the star. Being so, this gave me the opportunity to age the beer on an addition of Madagascar Vanilla Beans to bring more toffee, caramel and of course vanilla to the palate...

If we got the "bonus bottle" email, does that mean we are confirmed for. 2nd bottle? The bonus bottle email was a bit confusing.

Sorry, maybe a bit confusing. You would have gotten 2 emails if you got 2 bottles.

Excellent. Thank you!

Get some sleep.

Sometimes it seems clear to me, but then when I re-read I see the confusion.

I'm a Beer Rewards Program member but buy almost exclusively whiskey. Am I eligible for this, and if so, would I have received an e-mail saying there is a bottle for me?

Yes, Whiskey counted on this release, you can email me at paul@wineandcheeseplace.com so I can check to make sure your account is working.

For future reference, how much $ did it take to make the list? I know it depends on release but I am just curious?

Each release is different, plus sometimes it is based on beer only and sometimes it is based on all purchases.
