Amager Collabs with Hill Farmstead

Amager / Hill Farmstead Black Nitro...$8.99 / pint
Rated 98/100 RateBeer
Black IPA
From the brewer:
“At Amager Bryghus, we have always and with great pleasure opened our doors to guest brewers from all around the world. Black Nitro is a collaboration with the American grassroots beer hippie Shaun E. Hill.

For Black Nitro, Shaun dug out a recipe from his early years as a brewer. Dark (or Black or Cascadian) IPA is now a trend in the USA, and this beer was also a hit in Denmark when it was first brewed in 2009. The color is dark brown towards black. We used a special technique to avoid the burnt notes that usually come from dark malt. The aroma is a broad spectrum of hops thanks to a big dosage of many American varieties.

Amager / Hill Farmstead Shadow Pictures Double IPA...$8.99 / pint

A warm thank you to Shaun who has moved on to his own successful brewery in the US. Be well.”
Shaun Hill - magician, eccentric wizard and one of the modern ølverdens big personalities. In every respect so far from typical Tårnby punk mentality, as one can imagine. But despite this - or perhaps because of this - Shaun was a good friend of Amager Brewery where more beer came about as the result of fruitful cooperation, while Shaun even worked as a brewer at Nørrebro Brewery. When we in June 2013 visited New England, it was therefore only natural that we beat past Shaun farm brewery Hill Farmstead - absolutely in the middle of nowhere. We got fucking bales of Shaun when we came to empty a few of his dishes with good Saison, but it was all forgotten when we day after brewed "Shadow Pictures Of A Journey" - a clean and almost insulting letdrikkelig Double IPA filled with the crispest aroma hops. "Shadow Pictures - Ghosting" is our interpretation of the same beer, which occurred the day with Shaun in Vermont.
