J. Rieger / Boulevard Left for Dead Whiskey #7...$18.99 / 375ml
44.5% ABV
It is distilled from 2 test batches of Begian Ale. Aged 18 months in Rye Whiskey barrel used for aging Boulevard Rye on Rye

Plus some of these left Batch #3, 5,and 6

Batch #3
Distilled From: Calling IPA Release
Date: August 15, 2016
Reason for Distillation and comments: On its way to Europe, the shipping container’s temperature fell out of the ideal storage temperature range. As beer’s sensitivity to temperature fluctuations has the ability to cause unforeseen flavor changes, the brewery didn’t want to take any chances. When Boulevard dumped all the kegs, it equated to approximately 1,000 gallons of beer.
Distillation Proof: 137 proof
Bottled Proof: 89 proof Bottles in
Batch: 680 bottles
Notes from the Distiller: Aroma: hoppy, floral Taste: very hop forward, sweet, malty backbone, floral Mouthfeel: full, creamy, clean finish, oily Potential Cocktail: Egg White Sour

Batch #5

Distilled From: Unfiltered Wheat Beer with a hint of Applewood Smoke
Release Date: August 17, 2016
Reason for Distillation and comments: One of the first fermentations in the newly constructed Cellar 5 at Boulevard, this batch of UWB didn’t pass the rigorous testing Boulevard places on all of its brews. The average person wouldn’t have been able to decipher any wrong in the beer, but the seasoned sensory panel was able to spot a flaw.
Distillation Proof: 147 proof
Bottled Proof: 89 proof
Bottles in Batch: 990 bottles
Notes from the Distiller: Aroma: sweet, grainy, slightly fruity, banana, pineapple, floral, slight citrus, bread Taste: campfire, sweet, soft wheat backbone, fruit, mineral, banana, pineapple, grain, slight spice Mouthfeel: full, creamy, clean finish, oily Potential Cocktail: Neat to experience the hint of smoke
