Rock Hill, New Ballas, and Ballwin will be one 6 pack per person. Forsyth - you can reserve 1 online, and then we will allow people to grab more if they pick up while we still have some. That limit could change during the day depending on how fast it goes. We want to spread it out as best as possible. We are told we should see a few more cases on Friday, from a 2nd shipment.
I'm pretty sure that I speak for many who were unable to obtain this beer...when you offer a RESERVATION, you need to HONOR that as such. I called to reserve this beer very shortly after your original post which stated "We will post when it arrives for online reservations. You can reserve only 1 - 6pk online". After the beer arrived yesterday, I got a call about my RESERVATION informing me that it had NOT BEEN HONORED and that all of the product had been sold first come first serve after names of reservations were read out at the store. If you'd like me to show up when it arrives, please just let me know and I'll be happy to do so. But if you take a RESERVATION, please hold it until I can come pick it up (usually within the hour as I work a block away). I realize this was a fiasco, and I'm not angry as "it's only beer". But please set expectations properly in the future.
I am a little confused. Everyone that placed an order online got confirmed. We honored all of our reservations. You said you "called" to reserve? We were not taking phone call reservations? Not sure what you mean that you called in a reservation and then somebody called you back to say we did not have any? Please get me more details. For the amount of reservations we took and the amount of people that got beer I think it went smoothly. It was very crazy, but it was not a fiasco, it seemed to go smoothly.
Just wanted to weigh in and say that I thought the process was great. I placed a reservation for pickup in Ballwin, got a confirmation quickly, and it was ready and waiting for me when I went to pick it up within a half hour of receiving the e-mail.
I waited for weeks for the email notification for online ordering. I never got the notice. I kept checking the blog, nothing. Now another year goes by without being able to get any. Little frustrated.
You must not be getting our emails. I put it in a couple of emails announcing the date it was coming. Yesterday, It was in the email with the heading "Hopslam is here". I posted it on the blog multiple times with the date of release, I mentioned the date on twitter and facebook. I really tried to let everyone know and give everyone a fair chance. There is another batch supposed to hit on Friday also. I try to give as much info as possible to keep everyone in the loop.
