Cheese/Beer class

June 2 -- Beer and Cheese Pairing

This class will feature 8 beers paired with matching cheeses. It will be fun and informal as Brian Bauer will lead you through the tasting in our Forsyth tasting room.

Cost is $20 per person

Beer and cheese were made for each other. Beer and cheese are both farmhouse products and many farms originally made both products. In fact most trappist breweries make both still. The carbonation in beer helps clear the creamy mouth coating characteristics of cheese.

Here are some pairings we are considering for the class:
Chimay Cheese paired with Chimay Trappists Ale
Wash rind cheese with Bells Two Hearted Ale
Aged Gouda with a Belgian/French Saison
Aged Gruyere with a Doppelbock
L'Edel de Cleron with a Biere de Garde
Blue Stilton with a Barleywine
Humboldt Fog with Hennepin
Fresh gost cheese with Germen Hefeweizen
Cheesecake with Lindemans Framboise

Obviously cheese is a living and developing product, so we will wait until we are closer to see which cheese will be suited best for the class.
