Bourbon Barrel Aged Wines

Bourbon Barrel aged wines

1000 Stories Bourbon Barrel Aged Zinfandel...$17.99
VINEYARDS : Bob sources grapes from premium vineyards throughout California, selecting parcels which are most expressive. Mendocino County is celebrated for Zinfandel, so Bob considers Mendocino grapes as an essential component to the blend. These vineyards are located on bench land from Redwood Valley south to the Sanel Valley, a distance of 26 miles, and range in age from 9-45 years old.
BARRELS & AGING :
1000 Stories begins its aging like most Zinfandels: in wine barrels. Then, the tradition transitions to innovation. Bob selects a combination of new and used bourbon barrels to complete the aging process. Each batch is crafted individually and is unique in its final profile. Aging in bourbon barrels imparts characteristics of charred vanilla and dried herbs.

2018 Sebastiani Red Wine Aged in Bourbon Barrels...$14.99
The nose is lush and jammy with layers of dark fruit and undertones of vanilla and caramel. Flavors of dark berry, plum, mocha and toasted pecan are enveloped with soft, velvety tannins and a unique complexity imparted by the Bourbon barrel aging.

2019 19 Crimes The Uprising Red Wine Aged in RUM Barrels...$7.98
A liquid ode to our past, 19 Crimes is inspired by those who, beginning in 1788, were transported to Australia for a life of hard labor. Many did not survive the journey. For the sea-beaten people who made it ashore, a new world awaited.  As pioneers in a harsh frontier colony, they forged fresh pathways and built new lives from their chequered pasts, brick by brick.
This wine honors the history they wrote and the culture they built.
The Uprising pays homage to Australia’s “Rum Rebellion” of 1808. Due to the Government’s hindering of the rum trade, the rebellion was the only time a group of soldiers and citizens banded together to overthrow the Government. A portion of this wine has thus been aged for 30 days in rum barrels and is dark with jammy flavors and a smoky finish.
