Alma de Trabanco Quinquina

REALLY Delicious new spirit from Spain!

Alma de Trabanco Quinquina en Rama...$31.99/1 Liter

Alma de Trabanco Quinquina en Rama is a new apéritif from Trabanco,
the most iconic natural cider house in Asturias, Spain. Alma was born
from memories of founder Emilio Trabanco, who founded the cidery
in 1925. The Trabanco family is still using traditional methods to produce
exceptional Asturian ciders, but this has not stopped their innovation,
though. Samuel Trabanco, the passionate leader of the family cider house,
recently collaborated with Destilerías Acha, De Maison’s Basque vermouth
distiller, to revive Emilio’s vision for a cider and vermouth blend – thus
creating the innovative Alma de Trabanco Quinquina.

Alma de Trabanco is the first quinquina made with natural cider en rama,
which means the cider is unfiltered. The process of filtering a cider’s
naturally occurring sediment can strip cider of its quality, but Trabanco
leaves this cider’s character intact. Bottled at 15% ABV, Alma is the
perfect apéritif. It is produced by the blending of cider en rama, white
wine, and vinous alcohol steeped with botanicals. This blend gives Alma
both malic and tartaric acid, lending it excellent structure and brightness.
The botanicals in Alma de Trabanco include cinchona, wormwood, savory,
gentian, cinnamon, coriander, thyme, vanilla, cherry, orange peel, and
lemon.

Flavor Profile
Alma is dynamic on the palate, starting with a burst of apple juice, spices
and acidity, then opening into warm baked notes and a full, smooth texture.

Usage
• Alma de Trabanco is practically a cocktail in a glass, but still mixes beautifully. Try it with cava, tonic, or sparkling cider (like Trabanco’s Poma Áurea), or mix with BCN GiN, reposado tequila, bourbon, ginger beer, chai tea, or Jacoulot’s Crème de Pêche.

• The harmless sediment in a bottle of Alma de Trabanco is a sign of the quality and authenticity of an en rama cider. Refrigerate after opening.
