Johnnie Walker DOUBLE Black is back!

Back in stock!

A peatier version of Johnie Walker Black

Johnnie Walker Double Black

The whisky was created taking Black Label as a blueprint and adding heavily-peated malts and some aged in deeply charred oak casks.

More info and picture from Mutineer Beverage Magazine

The much talked about but ever so elusive Johnnie Walker Double Black is back. Well, in March 2011 anyways. Originally launched and tested at six leading international airport locations in January 2010, Double Black was received so well that it will be distributed globally early next year. Taking the already smoky Johnnie Walker Black Label, Master Blender Jim Beveridge would take the characteristics found in that and amplify them, creating a new intensity to the spirit. “Johnnie Walker Double Black takes Johnnie Walker Black Label as its starting point. Drawing on generations of blending and maturation expertise and with the keys to the largest, most diverse stocks of aged Scotch whiskies in the world, I have created Johnnie Walker Black to be a new and complementary perspective on Black Label”, said Master Blender Jim Beveridge.

Jefferson’s Bourbon Dinner & Tasting

Jefferson’s Bourbon Dinner & Tasting – November 15, 2012

Bourbon & Banter is excited to announce our next St. Louis Bourbon Dinner & Tasting will be held on Thursday, November 15th at the historic Glen Echo Country Club. The evening will begin with a specially crafted bourbon cocktail and appetizers at 6:30 pm in the Bourbon Lounge – a venue within Glen Echo created especially for our event. At 7:15 pm dinner will begin with an introductory overview from Trey and our first bourbon tasting of the evening. From there we will enjoy a new bourbon with each dinner course along with tasting notes and comments from Trey.

After dinner we invite you to stick around and enjoy a drink in the Bourbon Lounge and continue the evening’s enjoyment of bourbon and banter. You will be able to order drinks from the Club’s bar throughout the night.(Please note that cash is required for additional drink purchase or your can put it on your account if you belong to a reciprocal club. Manchego on sale!

On sale now! Come in for a free taste!  Try before you buy - as it always has been for 30 years at The Wine and Cheese Place

Aged Manchego.....$12.99
Manchego cheese is the most important and well-known sheep’s milk cheese in Spain. The shape of this cheese is very characteristic and defined, due to the traditional use of esparto grass molds which imprints a zigzag pattern along the side of the cheese. The small wooden boards used for pressing the cheese also imprints the typical wheat ear pattern on the top and bottom.

This rustic molds are used outside of La Mancha as well. Thus, there are other Spanish sheep's milk cheese with similar shape and markings, known commonly as "Manchego style" cheese.

The true Manchego cheese, however, is made only from whole milk of the Manchega sheep raised in the "La Mancha" region. This region is a vast high plateau, more than 600 meters above sea level, which extends from east to west and north to south, adjoining the provinces of Toledo, Cuenca, Ciudad Real and Albacete, all in the Castile-La Mancha Autonomous Region southeast of Madrid.

Manchego cheese has a long historic and literary tradition, as it was mentioned by Cervantes in the legendary "Don Quixote of La Mancha". Today, there are two types of Manchego cheese: the farmhouse type, made with unpasteurized sheep's milk and the industrial type, made with pasteurized milk.

In both cases, however, milk from Manchega sheep is the only type used and the cheese is produced in clearly defined homogenous surroundings of wheat fields, fallow land and brush fields. The climate is extreme continental with cold winters and hot summers.

Kasteel Cuvee de Chateau 2010

Kasteel Cuvee de Chateau 2010....$9.99
Rated 95/100 RateBeer

The Cuvée du Château is really the culmination of 20 years expertise. Both the flavor and the taste of the Cuvée du Château (11% alcohol) are those of a mature Dark Castle that 10 years in peace could evolve in our cellars. The elegant velvet maturity of the dark brown beer, with notes of roasted and caramelized malt, followed by a subtle bitterness of fine English hops in the finish, making this prestigious "ale" a top gourmet beer that even the most demanding chef will not leave indifferent.

The castle of Ingelmunster has its origins in the 11th century.Brewery Van Honsebrouck bought the castle in 1986 and spent 3 years later his first Kasteelbier on the market. It's 20 years experience with Dark Castle and brilliant brewer understanding of the family Van Honsebrouck that led to the new Cuvée du Château: an unrivaled dark beer, that immediately the top of the Castle Gamma forms.

Rare Oak Aged Quadruple

Aged for a year in oak....
Limited, we only have 6 bottles.
Straffe Hendrik Heritage 2011...$22.99 / 750ml
This Straffe Hendrik Heritage is a special version of the well- known Straffe Hendrik Quadruple. The dark and heavy beer is allowed to mature for more than a year in oak casks in the bre- wery’s cellars, which date back to the Middle Ages. This gives the beer a more complex taste. The tannins form a harmonious unity with the rich flavours of the special malts. Straffe Hendrik Heritage is a beer that can be kept for several years, during which time the taste will further evolve in the bottle. As it gets older, a hint of port or Madeira wine will become more evident.

New Lips of Faith

New Belgium Lips of Faith Collab Brewery Vivant....$11.99 / 22oz
"New Belgium and Michigan's own, Brewery Vivant, each stuck a hand in for this wonderful collaboration. A bright Biere de Garde with a pale copper sheen, this beer is brewed with pale malt, and some oats for creaminess. Hopped with Sorachi Ace to reinforce the citrus bite from the bergamont addition. The Brewery Vivant Collaboration is refreshing, and strong. A hint of clove from Vivant's house yeast brings a spicy bit to the extra dry finish. Enjoy with friends.

New Belgium Lips of Faith Imperial Coffee Chocolate Stout...$7.19 / 22oz
"A stout from New Belgium? You'd better believe it. This is dark and rich, strong and roasty, and packed with Fort Collins own, Cafe Richesse espresso. Brewed with roasted barley and midnight wheat, the extra dark color is partnered with a firm pillow of mocha colored head. This malty imperial stout is spiced with fair trade cocoa nibs after fermentation for a nice chocolate flavor, and the coffee brings a pick-me-up zing for a full bodied and bold addition to the Lips of Faith Series."

Left Hand Fade To Black Volume 4....$9.99 / 6pk
"Fade to Black. That time of year when the light fades away. Brewed for the darkness, Fade to Black speaks in volumes. Welcome to Volume 4, the Beer pours pitch black with an off white head. Citrus (bergamot) and roast dominates the nose. Slight sweet malt gets pushed back by initial citrusy hops followed by powerful Italian Amaro, gentian and hop bitterness. Finishing with a pleasant duality of dry roasted malts and hop bitterness." -- brewery

Dark & delicious, America’s great milk stout will change your perception about what a stout can be.Pouring hard out of the bottle, Milk Stout Nitro cascades beautifully, building a tight, thick head like hard whipped cream. The aroma is of brown sugar and vanilla cream, with hints of roasted coffee. The pillowy head coats your upper lip and its creaminess entices your palate. Initial roasty, mocha flavors rise up, with slight hop & roast bitterness in the finish. The rest is pure bliss of milk chocolate fullness.

Harvest Dance is back!!!

Harvest Dance Wheat Wine new version in stock!!

Boulevard Smokestack Harvest Dance Wheat Wine
available online also

"There was three men come out o' the west their fortunes for to try,And these three men made a solemn vow, John Barleycorn must die,They ploughed, they sowed, they harrowed him in, throwed clods upon his head,'Til these three men were satisfied John Barleycorn was dead.
"This grim little verse belongs to one of the oldest of English folk tunes. It depicts the cultivation of barley as a series of abuses and indignities committed upon pour little John Barleycorn, who eventually triumphs, reborn as beer and whiskey. Our Harvest Dance Wheat Wine is a celebration of John's cousin wheat, the great staple crop of Middle America. Wheat wines are a somewhat recent stylistic development, akin to barleywines in strength, but brewed with a large portion of wheat malt, which provides a soft mouthfeel to balance the big body of these warming brews. We add a generous helping of Hallertau and Citra hops, and age the beer on both French and American oak, resulting in a beer that opens up with a warming burst of tropical fruit flavors, adding subtle Sauvignon Blanc notes before rounding slowly to a dry, oaky finish. This is a perfect beer for sharing with friends and family as we gather together for the fall and winter holidays. Pairs well with aged cheeses or seasonal squash and pumpkin dishes. And though it may appear that Miss Wheat is about to be cut down in her prime, have no fear: just pour a glass of Harvest Dance and you'll find she's alive and well."

From New Belgiums Blog...

Dear Brewery Vivant,

Your're the best, I mean it. I wanted to take a few minutes and write you a letter expressing my adulation. So, here it is... When we first met it was magical. New Belgium was starting the Michigan roll out process and there you were, in an awesome, old funeral home in Grand Rapids. Your beers we great right away. We stopped by to say hello, drink a little, and it turned out that everybody inside the old funeral home (turned brewery) was awesome too. With wonderful and like-minded individuals such as yourselves it didn't take very long for the idea of a collaboration to come to the front.

First was the beer brewed at your place, in Grand Rapids: Escoffier. A bretta beer with French chef-er-y roots, and a beer dinner that was 12 courses long. 12 courses! The highlights that I read just barely did it justice. And the few cans you sent me left me craving more (can you send more?). The beer is all over Michigan now, and the Chicagoland area too, but really, it should be world-wide.

Then, we met Brian and Jacob (brewer, and head brewer, respectively). These guys came to Fort Collins to brew the other version of the collaboration. They were beyond friendly and extremely knowledgable in beer, it was a real treat to talk to them. The beer they made here, with our brewers, is not Escoffier, it's something else, but amazing too. This half of the collaboration is a biere de garde, of the farmhouse family (as with Escoffier). It has bergamot, orange peel, and uses your house biere de garde yeast (oh, so yummy). The collaboration's bottle is a 22oz-er. In homage to you, Brewery Vivant, Jodi put somes roosters on it, it's spectacular. To the right is a very dramatic picture of a mocked up bottle (the real bottle will be silk screened (just like the rest of our Lips of Faith)).

I am very excited to taste this next half of our beer relationship, it promises to be a real gem. Oh, and Brewery Vivant, this beer will be available through our distribution network in about a month (or so). Maybe you can come back to Colorado and we can drink both sides of this beer collaboration together, while sitting around a fire, and maybe we can share our feelings and more beers. That would be nice.
Until we meet again Brewery Vivant, I miss you...

Super highly rated Chateauneuf du Papes

The Wine Advocate new issue just came out and Robert Parker rated Chateauneuf du Pape and they scored big!  We have a lot in stock now.  But they are sure to go fast.

Amazing Chateauneuf du Pape IN STOCK at our Forsyth store!
Because of the demand and limited availability (some we have as little as 6 bottles left), we are just making them first come first served at the store tomorrow.  Come and get them!  This is only a partial list, I did not have a chance to finish today.

2010 Domaine de la Janasse Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Chaupin...$99.99

The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Chaupin rivals the 2007 Chaupin (to date the best Chaupin I have yet tasted). Made from 100% Grenache (3/4 destemmed), it boasts a dense black/purple color as well as unbelievable notes of raspberries, black cherries, licorice, truffles, camphor, forest floor and garrigue. This wine is stunningly concentrated, incredibly noble, precise and expansive on the palate with mouth-saturating intensity, glycerin and extract. It is an amazing example of impeccably grown old vine Grenache translated into a natural yet full-throttle red.
Rated 98/100 The Wine Advocate

2010 Ferrand Chateauneuf du Pape....$65.99
There were no problems with the opaque ruby/purple-tinged 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape, which had just been bottled. This exotic red boasts notes of black truffles, roasted meats, charcuterie, incense, blackberries and black cherry liqueur intermixed with hints of roasted herbs and licorice. Full-bodied, dense and as concentrated as the estate’s extraordinary 2007, the spectacular 2010 needs 2-4 years of cellaring, and will age gracefully over the following two decades.
Rated 96+/100 The Wine Advocate

2010 Charvin Chateauneuf du Pape...$66.99
More backward and concentrated, the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape exhibits a dark ruby/purple color as well as dense, black raspberry, black currant, garrigue, licorice and lavender characteristics. Full-bodied with undeniable elegance, minerality and precision, it needs 2-3 years of cellaring and should keep well for 15-20.
Rated 95+/100 The Wine Advocate

2010 Le Ferme du Mont Capelan Chateauneuf du Pape....$79.99
The prodigious 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Cotes Capelan boasts abundant notes of acacia flowers interwoven with blackberries, black raspberries, licorice, incense and a touch of graphite. The wine hits the palate with tremendous authority, impressive purity, a skyscraper-like texture and a full-bodied, layered finish that lasts for nearly 50 seconds. This remarkable Chateauneuf du Pape has a natural yet seductive feel. Drink it over the next two decades.
Rated 98/100 The Wine Advocate

2010 Pierre Usseglio Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de Mon Aieul...SOLD OUT
The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de Mon Aieul (cropped at 12-16 hectoliters per hectare) comes from the estate’s finest vineyards in the southern part of the appellation (Les Grandes Serres), the eastern sector (the famed La Crau) and the northern sector (Guigasse). The wine is aged primarily in stainless steel tanks with a small percent (less than 20%) kept in 600-liter demi-muids. Despite the 16.5% natural alcohol, there is not a trace of heat in this wine. It is stunningly concentrated with great intensity as well as classic blueberry, peppery, incense, camphor, fig and licorice characteristics. Rich and full-bodied with slightly more freshness than their profound 2007, the 2010 Mon Aieul should age effortlessly for two decades.
Rated 97/100 The Wine Advocate

2010 Raymond Usseglio Cuvee Girard Chateauneuf du Pape...$41.99
The American importer produces a slightly different blend called Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Girard, and the 2009 and 2010 are essentially identical in quality. The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Girard reveals slightly more meatiness and garrigue notes than the 2009, but the two wines are similar in every other aspect. Full-bodied, rich and pure, it, like the 2009, will evolve over the next 10-15 years.
Rated 90-92/100 The Wine Advocate

2010 Raymond Usseglio Cuvee Imperial Chateauneuf du Pape...SOLD OUT
A candidate for perfection, the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Imperiale Vignes Centenaire is clearly the greatest wine I have ever tasted from Raymond Usseglio, even eclipsing their remarkable 2007. Don’t be surprised if it merits a three-digit score in five or six years. Somewhat closed, but bursting with potential, the wine is inky/purple to the rim and boasts abundant amounts of concentrated, jammy blackberry, kirsch, licorice, lavender, forest floor, white chocolate and a hint of truffles in its magnificent perfume. Some tannins appear in the mouth, but there is no doubting the luxurious concentration, multidimensional mouthfeel, full-bodied texture, enormous extract and richness, and nearly endless finish. This monumental Chateauneuf du Pape needs to be forgotten for 4-5 years and consumed over the following 2-3 decades.
Rated 99/100 The Wine Advocate

2010 Olivier Hillaire Les Petits Pieds d'Armand...$99.99
A real blockbuster as well as a massive example of old vine Grenache is the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Petits Pieds d’Armand. Only 260 cases were produced in 2010 as the Grenache yields were unusually small in this vintage. However, that has added an extra level of concentration. This wine ratchets up the power, concentration, glycerin, opulence and density, revealing a deep purple color in addition to extraordinarily pure black raspberry, black cherry and cassis flavors intermixed with licorice, spring flowers and incense. The alcohol must be in excess of 16%. This unctuously textured, gorgeously concentrated wine is a monument to old vine Grenache grown in the southern Rhone. It should drink well for 15-20 years.
Rated 98/100 The Wine Advocate

2010 Domaine de la Charbonniere Chateauneuf du Pape les Hautes Brusquieres Cuvee Speciale...$59.99
The sensational 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Hautes Brusquieres Cuvee Speciale explodes from the glass with aromas of roasted Provencal herbs/garrigue, cassis, blackberries, kirsch, loamy earth, and a subtle nuance of spring flowers. Full-bodied with superb definition, massive fruit concentration and a long finish displaying dazzling purity, texture and length, this sensational wine is one of the finest wines Domaine de la Charbonniere has yet produced. It should age gracefully for two decades.
Rated 96/100 The Wine Advocate

2010 Domaine de la Charbonniere Cheateauneuf du Pape VV....$59.99
A brilliant effort, the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes is velvety textured and full-bodied, offering hints of sandy, loamy soils, licorice, kirsch and crushed rocks (minerality soars from the glass). Stunningly rich, layered and provocative, it is a classic wine of Provence. This big, mouthfilling, chewy 2010 should drink well for 15-20+ years.
Rated 95/100 The Wine Advocate

2010 Les Bosquet des Papes Chateauneuf du Pape Chante le Merle Vieilles Vignes...SOLD OUT
The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Chante Le Merle Vieilles Vignes is a blend of 85% Grenache and the rest equal parts Syrah and Mourvedre from the same parcels as the 2011. The wine is aged primarily in foudres with small percentages of the Syrah and Mourvedre kept in new 600-liter demi-muids. A spectacular effort, it displays a confit of camphor, blueberries, blackberries, black raspberries, lavender and other floral notes. This full-bodied, massive Chateauneuf du Pape is remarkably light on its feet despite what must be 15+% alcohol. Incredibly pure and remarkably intense, this is a tour de force from Nicolas Boiron. It should drink well for two decades.
Rated 99/100 The Wine Advocate

2010 Les Bosquet des Papes Chateauneuf du Pape...$47.99
The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition was even better than when I tasted it last year prior to bottling. A wine of great intensity, it may be the finest Tradition cuvee yet made at Bosquet des Papes. Its opaque purple color is accompanied by sumptuous notes of balsam wood, roasted Provencal herbs/garrigue, sweet black raspberry and blackberry fruit and hints of truffles and lavender. This dense, full-bodied, amazing Chateauneuf is one of the top values of the vintage. Enjoy it over the next 15-20 years.
Rated 94/100 The Wine Advocate

2010 Domaine Lafond Chateauneuf du Pape...$42.99
While the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Roc-Epine has closed down slightly, it remains a sexy Chateauneuf filled with sumptuous black currant, black cherry and raspberry flavors interwoven with garrigue, licorice and roasted Provencal herbs. Full-bodied with good acidity and precision, it is somewhat forward for a 2010, and should drink well over the next 10-15 years.
Rated 92/100 The Wine Advocate

2009 Pegau Chateauneuf du Pape...SOLD OUT
The bottled 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Reservee is as compelling as I thought it would be after tasting it last year. A blend of 85% Grenache with the rest Syrah, Mourvedre and small dollops of the other authorized varietals, this wine tends to come from the estate’s holdings in the eastern sector of Chateauneuf du Pape. The opaque purple-colored 2009 exhibits magnificent, rich berry fruit intertwined with cedar, Christmas fruitcake, licorice, charcuterie, roasted meats, smoked duck, kirsch, blackberries and god knows what else. It is an amazingly complex, rich, full-throttle wine that reminds me somewhat of what the 1990 tasted like in 1994/1995. It is a magnificent Chateauneuf du Pape. If you are looking for the garrigue component, it’s also there.

An exciting and original project for St. Louis....

Sweet Sophie Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup...$13.99 / 250ml
Aged in a Jefferson 18 Year Old Bourbon Barrel
Serving suggestions: as a glaze for salmon, pork or bacon, as a sweetener for coffee, oatmeal, granola or yogurt, pour over ice cream and bananas, make exotic cocktails and of course on pancakes and waffles.
The possibilities are endless.

As part of our 30th Anniversary this year, The Wine and Cheese Place started buying our own barrels of Bourbon.  After the bourbon was bottled, we sent the spent barrels off to local breweries to age beer for us (click to read more).    Currently we have 5  Bourbon Barrel aged beers have that been released and sold out and we have another 15 barrels in the works.
What was the next step?
How about ageing some  Maple Syrup in a Bourbon Barrel!!!!
So we took a rare Jefferson 18 Year Old Bourbon barrel and delivered it to 4 Hands Brewing Company to be filled with Maple Syrup.
We ordered a 55 gallon drum of 100% Organic Pure Vermont Maple Syrup and hand pumped it into the barrel back on August 8th and let it age until October 30th - almost 3 months.  On October 30th, it took 3 of us almost 10 hours to bottle 708 bottles of this delicious golden nectar.  We had to hot bottle it at 190 degrees, what a sticky mess.  We are currently over the next couple of days hand labeling and hand dipping each bottle in wax to seal the top.   On the label, it says Batch #1, but it was a ton of work, not sure if there will be another batch or not.

Right now we have about 280 bottles waxed and labeled.
Should have the rest ready next week.

More about Midleton
Situated in Co. Cork Midleton distillery is responsible for the majority of all Irish Whiskey produced in Ireland today. It is the Irish Distillers Group main distillery.

The distillery started life as a woolen manufacturing business in 1796. By the 1820s the buildings were lying empty until three brothers James, Daniel and Jeremiah Murphy decided that the perfect purpose for these fine buildings should be the manufacture of whiskey. Initially run as a family concern calling themselves James Murphy & Co they ultimately merged with several other distillers in the area to be come known as the Cork Distillers Company.

The Midleton Distillery had many advantages being situated in the countryside not least of which was the low operating overheads as opposed to those experienced by the City Distillers. A greater advantage was perhaps that Midleton boasted not only Irelands but the world's largest still with a capacity of 31,618 gallons.
Old Pot Still Midletonl

In 1966 The cork distillers Company joined forces with their city rivals John Jameson and John Powers together these three formed the Irish Distillers Group. The newly formed Irish Distillers Group decided that a new all purpose distillery would be built and Midleton with it room for expansion was chosen as the site.
Old Midleton Distillery Co. Cork The opening of the new Midleton Distillery was impressive, whilst the new distillery was being built the workers continued their craft in the old distillery buildings. Then one evening in 1975 they finished work as usual and left the old distillery. The following morning they returned not to where they had left the night before but to the new distillery a few hundred yards away, from here they carried on their craft as if nothing had happened.

97 Point Ornellaia

2009 Ornellaia Bolgheri....$149.99
(net, no additional discount)
"The 2009 Ornellaia caresses the palate with layers of seamless, radiant fruit. Sweet red berries, mocha, flowers, new leather and spices are some of the many notes that are layered in this sumptuous, totally beautiful wine. The 2009 stands out for its silky tannins and phenomenal overall balance. This is one of those wines that will probably enjoy a long drinking window. There is little question the ability to blend grape varieties was a huge help in this vintage. In my opinion, that is the main reason Ornellaia is a slightly more complete wine than Masseto in 2009. In one of my blind tastings, the 2009 made a very eloquent case for itself as the wine of the vintage. The blend is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. In 2009 winemaker Axel Heinz used the highest percentage of Cabernet Franc ever in Ornellaia and gave the wine less time in oak, both with the goal of preserving as much freshness as possible. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2029."

"The 2009 Masseto bursts from the glass with dark red berries, blackberries, flowers, licorice and tar. It shows lovely up-front juiciness and expressive inner perfume in a surprisingly accessible style for this wine. Like the Ornellaia, the 2009 Masseto has quite a bit of freshness, although it, too, is medium-bodied in structure. In this vintage the Ornellaia team was especially selective and only used part of the three vineyards that typically go into Masseto. I have been fortunate to taste every vintage of Masseto, most more than once recently. Masseto has a great track record for aging, even in the smallest, least promising of vintages. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2029."

Conundrum RED!!!!!!!

We are proud to introduce Caymus Conundrum RED for the first time!!!

2010 Conundrum California Red Wine...$19.99
The Wagner family is pleased to release the second vintage of Conundrum Red with expanded distribution.   This truly is a Conundrum in style which is unlike any other red blended wine.  “As a kid growing up I remember seeing my grandfather sitting at his kitchen table and he would blend different wines together. Didn't matter what the varietals were. He would blend, taste and explore. This inspired my dad, Chuck Wagner, to create Conundrum White - our family’s exotic white wine blend.”

“Conundrum Red is a non-traditional blend of California red grapes. What are the varietals used? It’s proprietary and we believe the fun is exploring this intriguing wine.  I am proud to be able to continue my grandfather’s practices…for three generations we have been breaking the rules.” This wine tastes great with many dishes; best with highly flavored foods, especially spicy tomato based sauces, dark spices or meats enhanced with BBQ sauce….and really…anything that will fit on your grill. Serve slightly to well-chilled.

“I hope your family and friends enjoy this wine as much as mine do.”
Charlie Wagner II

NOSE: Almost floral, with tones of lavender, dried berries, baking chocolate, bacon bits. Aromas are rich, velvety and wonderfully appealing.
PALATE: Silky round entry with acid to balance and high fruit concentration. The nose leaves no doubt about the seriousness of this wine. The palate is fruit driven both before and after the high tannin middle core. The finish is long, not drying of tannin, and beckons a second sip.
