Great Divide Grand Cru

A new one from Great stock at Forsyth.

Great Divide Grand Cru....$6.99 / 22oz

"Grand Cru is our very special Belgian-style dark ale. Imported malts give it a round malty richness, and the fruity complexity and slightly spicy character come from brewing with a proprietary Belgian yeast strain. Don’t let the name fool you; while it may be a special occasion beer, this medium-bodied, elegant incarnation is anything but snobbish. 11% ABV." -- Brewery

2009 Kotare Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc....$11.99
Compare to $15 on The Wine Spectator

"Bright and open-textured, showing real transparency to the grapefruit, lime and green papaya flavors, with a hint of mineral as the finish lingers easily. Drink now. 2,500 cases made. –HS"

World Beer Cup 2010 Gold Medal Beer

Omer Tradtional Blond Ale....$10.99 / 750ml

This pale strong ale from Flanders has splashed upon the world beer scene with great fanfare. Winner of the 2010 Gold Medal in the World Beer Cup©, Omer bested many of the world finest beers in a hotly contested category.

Pale golden and extraordinary, Omer has a firm malt character with a pleasant hop bitterness and warm, bready aroma. Tasted in it's signature glass it's a treat for the eye and palate.

The name "Omer" is a tribute to the family owners of this brewery who, for the sake of continuity, have each been so named.

Claymore Scotch Ale is back..

In stock now!

Great Divide Claymore Scotch Ale...6pk
"Named for a medieval Scottish sword, Claymore Scotch Ale is our tribute to the legendary “Wee Heavy” beers of Scotland. This malty, deep-ruby beauty features lots of caramel sweetness, a reserved hop profile, and a subtle warming character. Unlike its namesake, this beer only requires one hand, but it’ll still make you feel like nobility.

Food Pairings: Enjoy with:Pot roast with roasted vegetables, seared lamb shank with white beans, bread pudding. " -- Great Divide

Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy
Beer Advocate style description
"Scotch Ales are strong ales, also known as "Wee Heavy." In the 19th century Scotland, they'd also be known as 160/-, a nomenclature based on the now obsolete shilling currency. Scotch Ales traditionally go through a long boil in the kettle for a caramelization of the wort. This produces a deep copper to brown in colored brew. Compared to Scottish Ales, they'll be sweeter and fuller-bodied, and of course higher in alcohol, with a much more pronounced malty caramel and roasted malt flavor. A low tea-like bitterness can be found in many examples. Best served in a "thistle" glass." -- Beer Advocate

New Lips of Faith

New Belgium Lips of Faith Dunkel Weiss....$7.29 / 22oz
“Deep amber brown with a dense off-white head, Dunkelweiss 30° rediscovers Hefeweiss beers through a Belgian brewer’s lens. Envisioned by our own Matty ‘Smooth’ Gilliland, this beer opens with sweet clove and banana notes that give way to a chocolaty warm finish with a peppery tingle across the palate. ‘I thought it would be fun to make a German wheat beer; we’ve explored the Belgian wheats pretty thoroughly,’ said Gilliland. ‘Since this is Lips of Faith – and part of what makes that program fun is to make beers that are really unique and different – making a big, strong, dark Weiss beer sounded pretty folly-licious. It’ll still showcase all of the flavors that a Hefeweiss beer would have, but add in the burly body and extra punch. Think of it as a Grand Cru Dunkelweiss."

2009 Chateau Puech-Haut Prestige....$16.99
"I’m infringing on David Schildknecht’s territory, but he has not yet tasted this wine. From a bio-dynamically farmed estate, this 2009 is a blend of 55% Grenache (from 60- to 75-year-old vines) and 45% Syrah (from 40-year-old vines), all planted in limestone soils, and aged completely in concrete tanks. This remarkable offering is a naked expression of the vivid terroir and excellent fruit found in this region. The incredible aromatics consist of forest floor, spring flowers, sweet black currants, raspberries, licorice, and incense. With a pure, velvety, seamless, full-bodied texture and a finish that lasts 30+ seconds, this wine possesses a stunning integration of acidity, tannin, and alcohol, suggesting this 2009 will age nicely for 3-5 years, possibly as long as a decade. However, it will be hard to resist given its current performance. Bravo!"

Great Divide Hercules Double IPA....$12.99 / 4pk

"Hercules Doulbe IPA is not for the faint of heart. It is, however, fit for the gods. HERCULES delivers a huge amount of hops from start to finish. Its hefty backbone of nutty, malty sweetness balances its aggressive hop profile. 10% ABV" -- Great Divide
