Saturday Tasting at Kirkwood!

 

Come taste some great Italian wines Saturday, April 8th from 12-3 at Kirkwood! All of these would enhance your Easter feast!

Here is the lineup:

Bonotto Prosecco Brut...$19.99
At least six hundred years of history link the Bonotto family and the small village of Tezze, located along the left bank of the Piave river downstream of Conegliano. Grapes are hand selected crushed and the juice fermented at low temperature. The wine is then refermented in steel vats and undergoes microfiltering before bottling. This Prosecco has a fine crisp elegant floral bouquet with notes of fresh cut bread and hints of lemon. The gentle effervescence makes this Prosecco an ideal pair to a huge range of culinary delights, or just as an apéritif.

Massimo Vernaccia di San Gimignano...$18.99
Acacia and ripe orchard fruit aromas slowly emerge from this wine. On the bright palate, a bitter almond note underscores nectarine and yellow apple flavors. Fresh acidity lifts the finish.

Aldegheri Le Pietre Santambrogio...$23.99
A red characterised by a beautiful dry and fresh flavour, it is the right wine for a thousand convivial occasions, especially if the menu is dominated by meat. From carpaccio to roasts, it is really easy to do justice to this red characterised by a garnet red colour and a slightly wild and spicy bouquet, as well as a hint of vegetal, reminiscent of cut grass. In the mouth, it is well-structured, despite not having an excessive alcohol content, and still relying on a perfect balance of all its components.

Ora has a genuine wine with lively color, that immediately fills your nose with fresh hints of the violet flower and herbaceous plants, which blends with aromatic red fruit and cherry.
During the tasting it starts smooth and then quite quickly confirms its fresh acidity in your mouth, added with pleasant tannins and a good structure which enriches and wraps your palate, with a dynamic finish that makes the persistency and drinkability of this Chianti Classico even longer.
