Lingua Franca Chardonnay

#17 on their top 100 Wines of the Year
2018 Lingua Franca Avni Chardonnay (Willamette Valley)...$28.99

This is a stunning wine and a sensational value. Succulent, tangy and concentrated in ripe fruit, it explodes with flavors of lemon, peach, apricot and papaya lifted by a squeeze of lime. Fermented in a mix of concrete and neutral barrels, it was then aged in new puncheons and neutral barriques.
Rated 95/100 The Wine Enthusiast

2018 Lingua Franca Estate Chardonnay (Eola-Amity Hills)...$49.99
The overall impression is of a consummate balance between richness and freshness, with another layer of firm underlying acidity too, and the wine lingers enticingly." Top Chardonnay pick for Oregon. - Charles Curtis, MW
Rated 96/100 Decanter Magazine
This sleek yet rich wine is packed with ripe citrus, Honeycrisp apple, peach and pineapple tones. Barrel fermented and aged in 40% new oak, it showcases spectacular fruit on the palate that is softened by creamy, lightly toasty barrel flavors.

Bruichladdich Black Art 1994 Single Malt Scotch 8.1 Edition

New - limited
Bruichladdich Black Art 1994 Single Malt Scotch 8.1 Edition

(plus we have 1 bottle of the 6.1 and the 7.1 too)

Bruichladdich Black Art 1994 Single Malt Scotch 8.1 Edition...$449.99
EDITION:08.1 / 26 AGED YEARS
12,000 bottles made
Decades have passed since this unpeated spirit ran from the stills in our ethereal, Victorian stillhouse. The stillmen who were present in 1994 would have no concept of its destiny; that it would eventually become the eighth iteration of the notorious Bruichladdich Black Art. This spirit would take many weaving journeys within our loch-side warehouses. Each cask it met has been identified and nurtured over time under the tenureship of our Head Distiller. All with one ultimate purpose in mind. Few responsibilities are as daunting as the composition of this cuvee. Lesser distillers would be unwilling to release their finest casks completely unaccounted for, totally in secret. And yet, those in the know of our alchemic release, are fully trusting in the hands of Adam. Over eight releases now, this unaccountability has been justified.

Chateau Beaucastel Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge - 2018

Another stunning edition of Chateau Beaucastel should arrive Friday!

2018 Chateau Beaucastel Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge....$75.98
Another in a string of top vintages, Beaucastel's 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape was produced from Grenache yields of only eight hectoliters per hectare ("normal" is about 28 hectoliters per hectare, according to Marc Perrin). The final blend I was shown is almost candied in its fruity intensity of raspberries and cherries, yet it has a potent underpinning of more savory elements, like tapenade, grilled meat and dried spices. Full-bodied, with fine, silky tannins, this shows tremendous length, reverberating with hints of crushed stone on the finish.

2018 Hourglass "HG III" Napa Valley Red Blend

Amazing price on a Napa Red from Duckhorn alum Tony Biagi!

Tony Biagi worked at Cade and Plumpjack for 10 years
2018 Hourglass "HG III" Napa Valley Red Blend - $36.99
Next lowest price Wine-Searcher in the Country is $44.99
Rich, textural layers define HG III. The 2017 greets with lifted aromatics of wild cherry, blueberry, cassis, and subtle hints of dried flowers and savory herbs. These aromas carry forward on the palate, the medley of saturated, pure fruit flavors providing dimension to the broad-shouldered, sumptuous texture. Dense and concentrated, yet balanced by lively acidity, a refined structure and well-integrated tannins, HG III delivers an eminently drinkable wine at cork-pull. Merlot, Petite Sirah, Cabernet.

Hazy IPA with Galaxy and Sabro hops
We’re joining creative forces with the team at Pipeworks again! They brought some new tricks to the table with this one though. For the first time, Pipeworks is using the sabro hop, known for tropical coconut aromas and flavors, in combination with passionfruit-pineapple aromas from Galaxy hops. This is one of those beers that when you crack that top, the aroma just smacks you in the face – but in a good way! It’s kind of like leaving Night City for a tropical vacation

Aberfeldy Highland Single Malt Scotch 18 Year Old

#10 - Aberfeldy 18 Year Old Single Malt

Aberfeldy Highland Single Malt Scotch 18 Year Old....$109.99
Aging scotch in a secondary cask is tricky, and tinkering with a whisky that has already achieved 18 years of age is even riskier. This well-matured Aberfeldy spent its final months in red wine casks from Bordeaux under the bold vision and deft hand of malt master Stephanie Macleod. As a result, it soars above its station. Never intrusive, the red wine finish suggests Fig Newtons and dried cherries, building upon Aberfeldy’s classic honey-vanilla profile to evoke strawberry shortcake and flavors of jam and clotted cream on a fresh-baked scone. A complex, mature, and moreish whisky at an excellent price. —Jeffery Lindenmuth

2016 Massolino Barolo....$49.99
Cases Made:  5,800
This family-owned winery, founded in 1896, is run today by fourth-generation brothers Franco and Roberto Massolino. Located in the heart of the village of Serralunga d’Alba, the 100-acre estate is known for its single-vineyard Barolos from Margheria, Parafada, Parussi and Vigna Rionda, yet it’s their classic-style Barolo from the excellent 2016 vintage that earns a spot on our list for its quality and value. A blend of Nebbiolo from parcels in Briccolina, Le Turne, Collaretto, Broglio and Damiano in Serralunga, with 5 percent from Parussi in Castiglione Falletto, the wine aged 29 months in 5,000-liter Slavonian oak casks.

Anchor 2020 Christmas Ale

Anchor Brewing 2020 Christmas Ale....$11.99 / 6pk bottles
Our annual Christmas Ale is a subtly spiced and sumptuously smooth winter warmer. This year’s brew marks the 46th annual release of this Anchor holiday tradition.

Back in 1975, Anchor released the first holiday beer in America since Prohibition. Year after year, Anchor creates a new, secret recipe with a unique hand drawn label for their Christmas Ale, but the intent with each brew remains the same: joy for the changing seasons and celebration of the newness of life. With a heavily guarded, confidential recipe, Christmas Ale is sold only from early November to mid-January. The 2020 Anchor Christmas Ale is a one-of-a-kind, featuring the highest ABV at 7% and darkest appearance of any vintage. Yet, this year’s release is easy-drinking and approachable for everyone at a holiday gathering or virtual event.

Anchor’s 2020 Christmas Ale is silky-smooth and layered with classic holiday flavors of chocolate, toasted marshmallows and graham crackers - perfect for enjoying at the end of the meal, or around a fire with close friends. This winter warmer teems with aromas of fresh coffee and dark chocolate, and pours with a tight, creamy cappuccino-colored head.

Each year a new symbolic hand-drawn tree is chosen for the Christmas Ale label. This year’s label features The Three Graces; three iconic towering sequoias from the Mariposa Grove in California’s Yosemite National Park. This is only the second time in its 46-year history that multiple trees are shown together on the label, a fitting statement to symbolize togetherness and hope in a year when so much time has been spent apart. The Three Graces represent radiance, joy, and flowering – characteristics that we can all hold near during this unprecedented time.
