Limited Release RD One 10 Year Finished With Brazilian Amburana Wood

ONLY ONE BOTTLE IN STOCK NOW
RD One 10 Year Amburana Finished...$299.99 / 750ml
Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Finished With Brazilian Amburana Wood

117.78 proof | 58.89% ALC/VOL
Aged 10+ years

The Craft: Legacy Kentucky
Crafted by a legacy Kentucky distillery, this Kentucky Straight Bourbon aged for more than 10 years before being introduced to Amburana Wood staves. The finishing time - intentionally less than that of our four-year Amburana Bourbon - brought out the best of the decade-old Bourbon and the Brazilian oak. This beautiful mingling resulted in a well balanced, complex masterpiece, worthy of its allocation.

The Packaging: Bold Sophistication
RD1's iconic bottle honors the first federally registered distillery in Lexington and the many brands it produced, while turning the page to modern-day design. The beautiful Ashland Distillery tree, the glass lettering, the concave bottle shape, Lexington’s horse farm fencing etched around the base, the striking black/gold label for the Limited Release...this packaging bridges history and innovation.

The Experience: Maturity with Penache
The flavors from the depths of the rickhouse are brightened by the dynamic yet delicate Amburana character that draws you in further. On the nose, spiced apple and honey come alive. Upon sipping, allspice mixes with oak and black pepper notes, later transcending into a warm caramel sweetness with hints of ripe peach and baked fruit. Notes of aged oak, tobacco, leather and apple linger with whispers of earth and anise.

If traditional tasting notes aren’t your style, you may…

See – That pour on the bourbon list you must try
Smell – Holidays at grandma’s house
Taste – An exquisite cigar with a sophisticated sweetness
Feel – Like you’re exploring Kentucky’s old rickhouse halls

Laws Whiskey House Four Grain Straight Bourbon 95 proof...$49.99 / 750ml
Laws Whiskey House Four Grain Straight Bourbon finished in Cognac...$79.99 / 750ml

Laws Special Finish Series
This limited release starts with our Four Grain Straight Bourbon. We migrate this bourbon to various-sized French oak casks, adding flavors from the wood and spirit previously held in these vessels. After secondary maturation, this whiskey is married in a 50-year-old, 1,600 gallon former Cognac foeder for tertiary finishing. Every year we harvest just a portion of the whiskey, immediately topping up the foeder with new Four Grain Bourbon finished in Cognac Casks. This solera-style cycle creates a complex spirit with our signature Four Grain flavor followed by nuanced notes of stewed fruit, raisin, and black tea with a luxurious finish.

Laws Whiskey House 7 Year Straight Rye Bottled-in-Bond. 100 proof...$71.99 / 750ml
“Laws is one of my favorite distilleries in the U.S. full stop. My introduction to them was about 5 years ago with a eye opening 4 year bottled-in-bond rye. I'm a rye fan and this was a RYE in the truest sense of the word. Bold spice and white pepper on the nose with chewy dark chocolate, licorice, and sweet cereal grain on the palate. Laws on the mainline...amen, I was converted. Come on over to the Infamous Bar, taste the new 7 year. Rye and see why we are digging it how it should be dug.” - Whiskey Dave'
Distillery notes: Cherry cola, honey, and black currant on the nose with notes of hazelnut, mint, green mango, and serrano pepper on the palate. Finishes with a rich and buttery mouthfeel leaving lingering notes of star anise and sage. Aged for over seven years in new, 53-gallon charred oak casks. 95% heirloom rye, 5% heirloom barley.
