Mondavi Maestro

2013 Robert Mondavi Maestro Red Blend...$45.99

When creating Maestro for our 50th anniversary, we were inspired by memories of Robert Mondavi. To celebrate the 2000 opening of our To Kalon Cellar, Robert Mondavi commissioned a special piece of music. At the gala, when the orchestra began to play, he took the baton and began conducting. We realized that Robert Mondavi was the maestro of our lives. His vision and passion guides us. He will always be the maestro of this winery, and our inspiration.
Merlot leads the orchestra of aromas, flavors, and textures in this Bordeaux blend. Easy to enjoy, Maestro is smooth and rich with black fruit and mocha aromas and fresh, mouthfilling cherry flavors.
Sourced throughout Napa Valley, including our iconic To Kalon and Wappo Hill vineyards, Maestro is a celebration of Robert Mondavi’s work and wisdom.

Thierache Clos de la Fontaine Hugo Cider

Thierache Clos de la Fontaine Hugo Cider Brut....$10.99 / 750ml
5% ABVAt Rozoy-sur-Serre, in Vichery, a tiny hamlet in the heart of the Aisne valley, located between Champagne and Belgium remains the last cider house of Thiérache, the Clos de La Fontaine Hugo. Grégoire Leroux, a young and ambitious farmer took over the ownership in 2010 from Agnès Turck to bring back the reputation of this artisanal cider-house made with traditional methods and local sour apples.  Property Located on the heights of Rozoy-sur-Serre, Greg has built a brand new cider house next to its 20 acres apple orchard.  Technical infoThis farmhouse style cideris made with the traditional method. At first, the apples are carefully hand-picked, lightly washed, pressed then transferred to a stainless steal tank for the alcoholic fermentation. The juice is then pumped over and bottled. The second fermentation which feeds itself from the natural yeasts and the sugar left from the apples starts spontaneously. A touch of sulphite is added. Farming: Sustainable

Domaine Kerveguen Carpe Diem Prestige Cider

Domaine Kerveguen Carpe Diem Prestige Cider...$22.99 / 750ml
4% ABV
Story Eric Baron took over his father in 1993. He brought his technical knowledge and kept using the traditional methods in the cider factory. His cider is aged in oak casks, dried naturally for 3 months, pressed with a « champagne press ». Many reasons why his organic cider is poured at the French president’s table since 1997. The property is located in the northern part of the French Britanny peninsula. It covers around 20 acres. The cider factory is pretty unique: the alcoholic fermentation happens only in oak barrels. This brings more complexity to the cider, as well as a very subtle vanilla touch. Since Eric took over the property, he has applied and followed organic farming methods. His production has been certified organic by Qualité France.
No Sugar Added. No pasteurization. Harvested in October. Aged 3 months in a dry room. Apples are crushed first and then pressed in a vertical press (from champagne). The alcoholic fermentation in oak casks lasts 4 to 8 months with only natural yeast. This is a long and fine process. Eric does 2 to 3 rakings during the fermentation. A very light filtration is done before bottling. After bottling the second fermentation (prise de mousse) takes 6 to 8 weeks.
Tasting Notes: Beautiful bright‐orange-golden color, the Carpe Diem cuvee develops some aromas of sweet apples, apple skins and wood. The aging in oak cask brings complexity and tannins to this very serious cider. Excellent sweet tannic cider !

Le Pere Jules Cider and Pommeau

Le Pere Jules 5 Year Old Pommeau de Normandie...$25.99 / 750ml

POMMEAU from NORMANDY
Le Pere Jules Pommeau de Normandie
This product is the result of the subtle marriage of freshly pressed apple cider and Calvados that has been aged for one year. Afterward, it is aged in oak barrels for several years, where the flavor will be transformed to result in a finished product with a smooth harmonious taste filled with aromas. It’s the “aperitif,” or before dinner drink, par excellence from Normandy.

Le Pere Jules Cidre de Normande Brut...$11.99 / 750ml
CIDER from NORMANDY
Our cider is produced from no less than 20 different varieties of apples. This gives it a very nice balance between the sweet, bitter and acidic varieties. After a fermentation process that is modified in its length to produce the “brut”, “demi-sec” and “doux” varieties, and a light filtration, it is bottled in order to naturally develop its own natural gas. This gives it the fine bubbles that we are known for.

Leopold Bros Whiskey and Amaro

Leopold Bros. American Small Batch Whiskey...$29.99
43% Alc. by Vol. 86 Proof
We begin by fermenting a traditional sour mash of corn and rye at colder temperatures, but without the aid of refrigeration. Fermentation takes more time this way, but results in a softer whiskey and develops subtle flavors such as vanilla, pear, and raspberry. We then distill the mash in our small batch copper potstill on grain to extract fuller and rounder flavors from the corn and rye. Finally, we barrel the distillate at the Pre-Prohibition standard of 98 proof, so that the barrel may add subtle notes of oak and vanilla and does not overpower the finished whiskey.

Fernet Leopold Highland Amaro...$29.99
40% Alc. by Vol. 80 Proof
Our Fernet Leopold Highland Amaro embraces the herbal notes of traditional fernets, while offering a pronounced and entirely unique mint quality. We achieve this by steeping a flight of bitter roots in our spirit, followed by rose petals, elderflower, chamomile, and honeysuckle, which lend depth and a complex finish. These ingredients will rest for weeks before they are drained and racked into Chardonnay barrels for months of aging. Every barrel is handbottled, to preserve the integrity of the flavor and aroma.

Leopold Brothers from Colorado

Leopold Bros. Aperitivo...$29.99
24% Alc. by Vol. 48 Proof
In line with the traditional Italian style, the spirit centers around major flavor components: bitterness from gentian root and sweetness from cane sugar. Citrus is the third major component, so we add distilled coriander and grapefruit peels to give Leopold Bros. Aperitivo a bright, citrus aroma. We mix these components with a variety of fragrant flowering botanicals, including hyssop and Artemsia pontica.
We color the cordial with natural cochineal, which adds the vibrant red color that one expects from a traditional Aperitivo as it has been used in spirits for hundreds of years. Leopold Bros. Aperitivo makes the ideal Negroni with our Leopold’s Navy Strength American Gin.

Leopold Bros. Maraschino Liqueur...$29.99
30% Alc. by Vol. 60 Proof
In the tradition of fruit brandies, we start by macerating and fermenting small Marasca cherries from Croatia and distill the resulting cherry mash. We then add coriander and Montmorency cherry distillate and sweeten the blend with honey to create a soft and subtle liqueur with mild almond-like notes that are derived from the cherry pits. You will find the beauty of this liqueur in the nose when it adding it to classic cocktails.
Winner, Good Food Awards 2012

Leopold Bros. Michigan Tart Cherry Liqueur....$29.99
20% Alc. by Vol. 40 Proof
Created from one-of-a-kind Montmorency cherries, Leopold Bros. Michigan Tart Cherry Liqueur brings something new to classic cocktails like Manhattans, Singapore Slings, and Gin & Tonics. While most cherries are categorized as sweet or tart, Montmorency cherries maintain a unique balance between the two flavors that is not found in any other varietal. The result is a versatile liqueur with exceptional flavor in both cocktails and cooking.

Leopold's Gin

Leopold's American Small Batch Gin....$29.99
40% Alc. by Vol. 80 Proof
Most gins are made by simultaneously distilling juniper and other botanicals within the same still. However when boiled together, certain botanicals are overworked, resulting in the extraction of tannin-like flavors which dry out the gin, while other flavors are not fully realized. We distill each botanical: juniper, coriander, pummelos, orris root, Valencia oranges, and more, separately to bring out only the purest flavors and aromas to be blended together for a softer and brighter spirit.

Leopold's Navy Strength American Gin...$35.99
57% Alc. by Vol. 114 Proof
When making a version of this maritime classic,
we distill each component, including juniper and
Bergamot, individually before bringing them together, creating a bold, and aromatic gin that will shine in any mixed drink. The term navy strength was bestowed by the British Royal Navy only on those gins high enough in proof to still render gunpowder flammable should it be drenched by the spirit. Today, the hearty flavor and higher proof makes this an American gin that does not get lost in a Gin & Tonic.
