WHISKEY REWARD CLUB INFO

We do a monthly whiskey raffle that includes things like Blantons, Eagle Rare, Weller (all the variations), Blood Oath, Orphan Barrels, Larceny Barrel Proof, Caribou Crossing, Elijah Craig 18 Year, Elijah Craig Barrel Proof and so many more....(click here to read about the May raffle).  Each raffle is different depending on what is released at the time.  We post the raffle on the blog, usually a few weeks into the month.  We have a raffle every month.

Your phone number without the area code will be your account number. After you sign up, you must give your phone number without the area code (or your name) every time you check out at any of our stores. Your name will appear on your receipt at the bottom. If your name is not on the receipt you are not getting credit for the purchase. Tell the checker immediately if your name is not on your receipt (or the wrong name is on your receipt).  If you place an order online, we will add it to your account when we charge your card.


Here is how we will allocate Whiskey
We base the allocation on the previous 6 months sales at the time of the raffle (usually the last day of the month). We feel 6 months is a good amount of time to reward regular customers. We also feel that is a good amount of time to let new people sign up and eventually get in on the allocations. The goal of the program is to reward people that shop at the store on a regular basis. We can obviously sell many of these allocated whiskeys 1000 times over, but we want to get them in the hands of our regular customers. Without our regulars, we would not be able to get these bourbons. There is no fair way to allocate these rare bourbons, we feel this is the best.

Release of bottles will be based on your total purchases: wine, liquor, beer, cheese, nuts...everything in the store.  All of them count for a point on your account, every dollar is equal to 1 point.  Except any and all of TWCP Single Barrel releases, each dollar spent is worth 2 points.
The releases will still be a raffle method. But it will be a weighted raffle. The more you spend the better chance you will have as you will get more raffle tickets for each release. For every $300 dollars you will get a ticket in the lottery (an average of spending $50 per month). If you spend $600, you will get 2 tickets and so on.

We will post updates on our blog and social media when whiskey is coming and when allocation emails have been sent.
You will get an email if you get an allocated whiskey, you have 7 days to pick up or we will draw another name.

FAQ:
How do I get Pappy Van Winkle?
The only way to get Pappy Van Winkle is through our Whiskey Reward Club.   At the end of the year we have a bigger raffle that includes Pappy and the BTAC.  These allocations have gotten so small now, that honestly the odds of getting a bottle are extremely slim.  Then end of the year raffle is based on 12 months and is still a weighted raffle and is our largest raffle of the year.

I signed up for the WRC, but I have not received any emails about rare bottles of Whiskey?
You will only get an email if your name is drawn in the raffle.

Can I retro my previous sales if I just signed up?
No, sorry there is no fair way to do this and be fair.  Your purchases will count as soon as you sign up.

Can I see or find out how much I have spent?

No, sorry, we do not have have the capability of letting you know how much you spent or how many raffle tickets you have in the raffles.  It is up to you to keep track of your own purchases.  Many customers keep track by looking at their credit card statement.

The tradition of keeping an infinity bottle is well known to whiskey collectors and aficionados around the world. Take the last ounces of each whisk(e)y bottle as you finish it, and pour them into a bottle you’ve set aside. Barrell Craft Spirits is honoring the Infinity bottle tradition in our own way by introducing the Infinite Barrel Project.


THE INTENT OF THIS PROJECT is to create an ever-changing whiskey blended from barrels of mature whisk(e)y. We began by selecting barrels for their flavor contribution and complexity and blending them in a larger single, or "Infinite" vessel.
AT EACH BOTTLING we’ll remove a portion of that whiskey and replace it with other barrels that will complement the remaining blend. We'll then repeat the process - bottling a portion and adding newly selected whiskeys each time.


HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM THE SOLERA PROCESS?

The Infinite Barrel contains fractions of many whiskey barrels in a single blend, while a solera ends up with fractions of the original whiskey in many barrels. Our objective is to create a unique blend for every bottling. The solera process, however, is designed to create a consistent product every time.

At its most basic, the solera process starts with a single barrel or group of barrels of a specific age. A fraction of the first group of barrels is put it in the second group of barrels, a fraction of that second group is put in the third group and so on. The solera process is designed and symmetrical. We think of our Infinite Barrel Project as a solera in reverse. It's unpredictable and asymmetrical, constantly evolving - even whimsical. We're certainly having fun blending it.

This release of Gray Label Bourbon is constructed from bourbons of varying ages made from five different mash bills. After marrying, the blend goes into casks made using 36-month air-dried staves that previously held Gray Label Bourbon, to rest and further mature.

Barrels made from 36-month air-dried staves are not often used in bourbon production, in part because they are much more expensive than casks made with kiln-dried staves. We view them, however, as a key component for achieving long, complex flavors and a rich mouth feel. The result of mingling in these unique casks is a mellow, sophisticated spirit that concentrates the flavor of a higher-proof bourbon into a lower-proof blend, with a gentle oxidative character and deep dried fruit notes. This is a bourbon with the complexity and density of age, without over-oaked chalkiness.
