Founders Brewing Barrel Aged Agave

Founders Brewing Barrel Aged Agave...$13.99 / 4pk
We love cocktails. Like, really love them. If you ask us, few are more refreshing than the tart and tangy margarita and our latest barrel-aged beer pays tribute to that perennial classic. We took an imperial gose brewed with agave, lime and sea salt and then aged it in tequila barrels for just the right amount of kick. Consider it a party in a bottle. Más Agave!

Marietta Game Trail Cabernet Sauvignon

It's not often we find a 94 Point under $50 these days and it's almost unheard of for under $30. We are always looking for a great deal and boy did we find one here:

2016 Marietta Game Trail Cabernet Sauvignon...$29.98
Marietta's 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Game Trail is powerful, dark and quite savory. Smoke, tobacco, gravel, menthol, cedar and licorice all run through this bold, pungent mountain Cabernet. There is quite a bit of aromatic intensity to play off the blackberry fruit in this strapping young wine. Give it a few years in bottle for the tannins to soften.

Bargemone stood above the crowd!
"The terrific (and fairly priced) 2018 Bargemone Coteaux d'Aix en Provence Rose stood out among the 139 rosés I tasted blind during my late February trip to Provence." - The Wine Advocate
2018 Bargemone Rose Coteaux d'Aix en Provence...$19.99
The terrific (and fairly priced) 2018 Coteaux d'Aix en Provence Rose stood out among the 139 rosés I tasted blind during my late February trip to Provence. It combines hints of cantaloup with cassis in a medium-bodied, silky-textured wine that shows just a hint of leafiness on the finish. The blend is 40% Grenache, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Syrah, 10% Cinsault, and 5% Rolle
Rated 90/100 The Wine Advocate

2018 Escudo Real Vinho Verde Rose...$8.99

Grapes: Touriga Nacional (60%) and Espadeiro (40%)
Escudo Real ROSE is all about the strawberry and red currants. The amazing pink color gives way to well-balanced flavors in the mouth that do super well with food. At 10.5% alcohol, this fresh fruity, slightly sparkly rose is a sunny-time must. Pink color and lively strawberry and red currant flavor complemented with floral hints reveal the exuberance of the aroma. In the mouth it’s well balanced with good acidity and tart fresh fruit notes, young and crisp. It boasts a smooth, delicate finish.

2018 Ornato Pinot Grigio...$11.99
Color: Brilliant straw colored wine with golden reflections.
Bouquet: Fresh and floral bouquet with a hint of pears, apricots and bananas blended with the intense aroma of acacia flowers.
Taste: Fresh and inviting with bright fruit and an easy drinking style with a pleasing hint of almonds in the aftertaste.
The agriculture is sustainable. No chemical fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides are used.

2017 Bench Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County...$19.99
Suggested retail is $24
Deep purple in color and aromatically expressive with ripe, black plum currant coulis and minerally graphite. The structure is firm with soft, elegant tannins and mouth-watering acidity. Flavors of black forest fruit and earth, dark cocoa, mint and anise are meld together on the finish. Bench Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced exclusively from benchland vineyards in Sonoma County, where valley floor transitions to foothills. I prefer these vineyard sites as they produce concentrated and intense fruit that results in an elegantly balanced wine with depth, beauty and complexity.

The Name
Where did “Yippee Ki-Yay” come from? Is it a real expression of joy popular with cowboys in the 19th century Western United States? Is it part of the greatest one liner in movie history? Was it influenced by the phrase ‘Yippie-yi-yo-ki-yay’ from the 1936 hit song “I’m an Old Cow Hand from the Rio Grande” about a 20th-century cowboy who has little in common with cowpunchers of old and sung by Bing Crosby in the film “Rhythm on the Range” (also sung later by Roy Rogers and Frank Sinatra) and considered one of the Top 100 Western songs of all time? We’re not sure. But we are sure we like how we feel when we say it... and recommend you use it every chance you get.
Back Label Story

We confess...we didn’t coin the term “Yippee Ki-Yay”. Moreover, we didn’t paint the picture on the front label. It’s an historic poster (Gift of The Coe Foundation and Henry B. Balink) now at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyoming (centerofthewest.org, you really ought to visit). Furthermore, we didn’t distill the whiskeys in this bottle - it’s our Double Rye! However, we did come up with a combination that we think will make you say...Yippee Ki-Yay drinkers of horrible tasting cheap flavored uisge beatha! One day, just for fun, we put Double Rye! into oak barrels that had originally been used to age two different types of wine and discovered an all-natural, not disgustingly-sweet sipper for the rest of us.

C. Comoz Vermouth de Chambery

C. Comoz Vermouth de Chambery...$14.99
Established in 1856, Comoz was the second-oldest of Chambéry vermouth producers after Dolin, and was the first to produce in a crystal-clear style. (Dolin preceded with a sweet pale, rather than crystal clear, blanc vermouth.) Introduced in 1881, Comoz Vermouth Blanc expressed Claudius Comoz’s selection of wines, plants and fruits, many of which come from the hills above Chambéry. Comoz came to fame as the essential vermouth in the El Presidente cocktail in Cuba. Comoz is less sweet than other vermouth blanc, with notes of stone fruits, alpine flowers and a deep, resonant undercurrent of wormwood. This deeper profile marries with whiskey better than any other pale vermouth.

Dingle Irish Whiskey Batch No. 3

Dingle Irish Whiskey Batch No. 3....$79.99
A marriage of Bourbon and Port Casks
46.5% ABV
Small. Artisan. Independent. Proud.
We hold these truths to be self-evident. Distilleries are not created equal, nor is the whiskey that flows from them.
Dingle Whiskey is a product of its environment. From the localised well water to the immensely manual mashing, alongside the wooden fermentation vessels that feed into the three bespoke copper pot stills, the production is purely Dingle. The micro climate then creates a maturation like no other. We do not manipulate the course of our whiskey, only nature can do that.
Dingle. Hand-made character. Unique Whiskey. From the edge.

Letherbee Vernal Gin 2019

Letherbee Vernal Gin 2019....$32.99
In the wake of Winter, we’re all looking for a little heat. What better way to usher in Spring than to saddle up with some green chiles – savory, bold, and warm flavors emblematic of Mexico and the USA’s Southwest. Fresh poblanos and green bell peppers bring a vegetal and grassy palate to our 2019 Vernal. Simple and straightforward, this recipe features a pared-down botanical distillate of juniper, coriander, and lemon peel with nearly a ton of poblano and green bells. Juicy and bright in body, it delivers a subtly spicy finish from our jalapeno and green hatch chile maceration.

Curatolo Arini Marsala 1988 Riserva Storica

Curatolo Arini Marsala 1988 Riserva Storica...$33.99

STYLE: This selected blend of Grillo and Catarratto grapes has been the family’s well-regarded secret for years. Bright, gold coloured wine with intense amber hints and a complex nose of dates, apricot syrup and spices. Full, warm and velvety on the palate with notes of sultanas, caramel and burnt almonds and a very long finish. Our Riserva Storico is the perfect elegant dessert or 'meditation' wine.

VINEYARD: the vineyards are located in the coastal region of Marsala where grapes have a higher propensity to natural oxidation and higher natural sugar levels, which gives elegance and richness to our wine.

VINTAGE 1988: The summer was very dry and warm and by mid to late September, expectations were high for a very good vintage. An excellent year in Sicily that produced as a result this eclectic wine which is an expression of harmony.

WINEMAKING: The process requires soft pressing and slow fermentation at a controlled temperature of 20 -25 °C. To the base wine, which is pale yellow in colour, is added table wine, mistella (fresh grape must with alcohol) and mosto cotto (cooked must). This complex mixture, together with the final alcohol content and the desired sugar level, gives us the traditional “Marsala” flavour.

Gloria Ferrer!

Let's go Blues!
#drinkGloria
#playGloria

Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut...$18.99
The Sonoma Brut has been carefully crafted entirely from hand-harvested Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. This brut is dominated by Pinot Noir, a stylistic decision enabling the complex aromatic and palate profile that this red-skinned grape contributes to brut cuvées.

On the nose, delicate pear and floral notes are backed by toasty almond. On the palate, one finds lively citrus, toast and apple flavors overlaid with persistent effervescence, a creamy mid-palate and a toasty finish.

2017 Gloria Ferrer Etesian Pinot Noir...$17.99
The Etesian wind tempers the warm days of summer in the eastern Mediterranean. Similarly, in California the moderating influence of the Pacific Ocean cools the vineyards of Sonoma, promoting superb natural balance and well-developed flavors in our grapes. The grapes were hand-harvested into small picking bins as not to be crushed. They were then whole-cluster pressed and fermented in 100% stainless steel at 55°F to 60°F to retain freshness.
TASTING NOTES:  Possessing a wealth of intense bright fruit characters of black cherry with undertones of baking spice. On the mouth, you'll find smooth, supple tannin with flavors of plum, spice and oak.
