Blackberry Farm - back in stock!

Blackberry Farm Wild Classic Saison...$16.99 / 750ml
Using our award-winning Classic Saison recipe as the base, this special release was fermented with a wild strain of native yeast harvested from honeysuckle blossoms in the orchards at Blackberry Farm and spent months bottle conditioning in our cellar. This light, golden farmhouse ale features beautiful aromas of fresh bread and honey with delicate hints of flowers and citrus. Complex flavors of honey, white grapes, fresh bread, and dried apricots are balanced by a mild acidity, crisp effervescence, and a dry finish. Available now in limited quantities.
100% bottle refermented. Unfiltered.

Very limited

100% bottle refermented. Unfiltered. Store bottle upright at cellar temperature. Serve at 45F-55F.
6.3% ABV
Bright and slightly tart, with notes of oak and earthy complexity.

YEAST: Brettanomyces Bruxellensis

Blackberry Farm “Classic Saison”...$14.99 / 750ml
This is a Belgian-style farmhouse ale. The aroma is dominated by fruity esters reminiscent of citrus fruits along with a moderate earthy and floral hop aroma from the use of Noble-type hops in the brewing process. Has a deep gold, hue that is often hazy, and a voluminous head on pouring as a result of the bottle-conditioning and high natural carbonation. The beer is medium-bodied and has a very refreshing effervescence which, along with a fairly low alcohol content of 6% by volume, makes this a beer to be enjoyed on a warm day by itself or with a wide range of foods, whether casual or fine dining. Complex flavors and aromas in this beer are a result of the special yeast used in fermentation combined with the additional complexity added by bottle-conditioning in large bottles for at least six weeks before being released.

2017 Escudo Real Vinho Verde Rose...$8.99
Grapes: Touriga Nacional (60%) and Espadeiro (40%)
Escudo Real ROSE is all about the strawberry and red currants. The amazing pink color gives way to well-balanced flavors in the mouth that do super well with food. At 10.5% alcohol, this fresh fruity, slightly sparkly rose is a sunny-time must. Pink color and lively strawberry and red currant flavor complemented with floral hints reveal the exuberance of the aroma. In the mouth it’s well balanced with good acidity and tart fresh fruit notes, young and crisp. It boasts a smooth, delicate finish.

2017 Domaine Le Pive Gris Rose...$16.99

Nestled in the wilderness of the Camargue national park, Domaine le Pive is comprised of 113+ acres of organically farmed vines, with a modern, state of the art winery and historic Romanesque chapel at its center.
The plentiful sun, marine winds and distinctive sandy soils (“sables sauvages”) result in fresh, aromatic, personality-filled wines.
Tasting Notes: Offers aromas of pineapple, mango, white peach, and pear. Dry, crisp, and refreshing on the palate, with a long, lingering finish.
Serve With: Will provide immense enjoyment on its own, and pair well with a wide range of lighter fare.

2017 Boniface Les Rocailles Rosé de Savoie...$18.99
100% Gamay Rose
A true earthly paradise nestled in the French Alps, Les Rocailles is owned and managed by boyhood friends and native Savoyards Guillaume Durand and Alban Thouroude, who purchased the estate and négociant business from Pierre Boniface upon his retirement in 2006. The wines have never been better at Les Rocailles!
Tasting Notes: This mouth-watering rosé offers delicate strawberry and raspberry aromas on the nose. Light, crisp, and bone-dry on the palate.
Serve With: Enjoyable on its own, and pairs well with a wide range of lighter fare including grilled vegetable panini, charcuterie, summer fruit salad, and more.

2017 Honoro Vera Rose...$8.49
This beautiful salmon colored rosé shows hints of watermelon rind on the nose. The palate is bright and crisp with red fruit and berry notes including strawberry, cherry and finishes again with watermelon. A refreshing rosé for any occasion including outdoor dining, whether it picnics or a backyard barbecues.

2017 Cassagnau Le Rose....$7.99
This light and airy, pale-pink Rosé wine is a blend of three grapes: Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon with a hint of Cot, all three patiently tended to obtain rich, perfectly ripened fruit.
TASTING NOTE: I designed this wine with a summer evening in mind: feminine, light and airy, to be enjoyed chilled in perfect privacy beneath a shady arbour. Its pale rose-pink hue is reflected in its floral bouquet with hints of citrus fruit and spices. The palate has the typical freshness of Cabernet and a delicate mouthfeel highlighted by invigorating minerality!
“Go for the simple pleasures in life and share this wine with friends as a summer aperitif. Serve it on a crisp white tablecloth accompanied by green olives – you need nothing else! Enjoy!

Jean Panis took the reins from his father, Guy, in 1996 and has taken the estate to new heights, with the historic 1998 vintage marking the beginning of a golden era that continues to this day.

"2016 Commanderie de la Bargemone Rosé, AOP Coteaux d'Aix en Provence
This is a classic Provençal rosé and still one of the best ever. If you want to get a sense of why everyone's suddenly gone nuts rosé, this wine will do it." - The Today Show, NBC

2017 Penya Rose Cotes Catalanes...$12.99
Grenache Noir and Syrah
Tasting Notes: Offers fresh aromas of Rainier cherries, garrigue, and hints of red raspberry and melon. Rich, full-bodied, yet bright on the palate.  Serve With: Great as an aperitif or an accompaniment to hearty salads, fish and shellfish, charcuterie, frittata, and more.
Cases de Pene is a tiny village in the Roussillon region of Southern France, just 30 miles north of Spain. Ceded to France in the mid 17th century, the area is still known as “French Catalonia”. We celebrate this heritage with the Catalan spelling of the ancient Château and village Cooperative: “Penya”.

2017 Le Cirque Rose...$14.99
60% Cinsault and 40% Grenache Noir
Tasting Notes: Intensely colored, with great freshness and spicy strawberry, watermelon and sage aromas. Bone dry.  Serve With: Excellent on its own, or paired with charcuterie, seafood, and fruit-based desserts.

Le Cirque is crafted by the progressive Les Vignerons de Tautavel Vingrau (VTV) cooperative in the village of Tautavel. Aptly named after the vast, amphitheatre-shaped bowl of vineyards stretching north towards Vingrau, the wines represent phenomenal values, and perfectly reflect the rugged, wind-swept terroir in which they are grown.

2017 Chateau Allegret Bordeaux Rose....$14.99
A dry rose made from Cabernet Franc and Merlot
Brilliant salmon pink with rose petal highlights.  The nose has intense apricot aromas with jasmine flowers.   It is very delicious and satisfying and full bodied. 2017 Arrumaco Garnacha Rose...$9.99 / 750ml bottle
100% Grenache Rose
Offering impressive density and concentration, striking purity of fruit, and true and loud expressions of Spain’s classic varietals, Arrumaco has become a go-to label that has risen to the top in a crowded category of sensational values.
Tasting Notes: Lighter in color and body than many other Spanish rosés. Loaded with intense raspberry and plum aromas that follow to a crisp yet silky palate. Serve With: Excellent on its own and with a wide range of lighter fare. The perfect summer sipper and tapas wine!

Brouwerij Van Eecke Poperings Hommel....$2.99 / 750ml
ABV: 7.50%

TASTE:   Rather hoppy, flowerly aroma, round spicyness.
FOOD PAIRINGS:   Best served chilled to allow flavor and aroma to blossom. Pair with a cheeseburger topped with onions, or with spicy dishes.

Once a hop seed is planted it takes three years for it to grow and produce hop cones viable for brewing. This moment is celebrated in Belgium’s hop growing region, Poperinge, with a Tri-Annual hop festival.
Regional brewers were asked to create a festive beer for this occasion. Van Eecke’s Hommel Bier was selected so many times as the festival’s best that it has become synonymous with the region itself.
Unlike American IPA, Hommel Bier highlights the elegant floral aromas of Hallertau and East Kent Goldings hops. Along with a few secret hops, this brew is rounded out with notes of citrus, honey and cumin seed.

Monks Cafe Flemish Sour Red

Another great sale just arrived ---
Monks Cafe Flemish Sour Red...$7.99 / 4pk CANS
was $12.99

"As Belgian beer lovers, you certainly know about the famous restaurant-bar in Philadelphia with the name Monk’s Café. This restaurant is known all over the USA as one of the best places to find an extensive selection of Belgian beers, and also great food cooked in Belgian beer. The owner Tom Peters is one of the many people who fell in love years ago with Belgian beer, and one of the few who had the passion and tenacity to learn all about it. He goes at least four times per year to Belgium, to emerge himself in the Belgian beer culture, to revisit his favorite bars (for example Brugge – De Garre) and restaurants (for example: ‘t Hommelhof in Watou), and to talk with as many brewers as possible. All his “Belgian” experience is translated in the concept, selection and menu of his famous restaurant. Go there

So, in 2002 he finally had the opportunity, and the courage to convince the Van Steenberge brewery to bottle its famous ‘BIOS - Vlaamse Bourgogne’ under private label for him. The Flemish Burgundy of the Van Steenberge brewery is an OLD BROWN in style, aged in oak, and is one of the oldest brews made by the brewery, at least brewed for over 300 years. Tom Peters knew the beer since long, but had always trouble to find some bottles, even in Belgium. Indeed, the beer is only brewed once a year. A final tasting of a whole line of Belgian Old Browns in the Brugs Beertje bar (Brugge) tilted the decision: this is the best Old brown ale in the world! And Tom went to the brewery to see Mr. Paul Van Steenberge and Mr. Jef Versele, the owners of the brewery." -- importer

Schlafly Paloma Gose...$11.99 / 750ml
ABV: 4.5% | IBU: 5
Influence can come from anywhere. And sometimes it comes from more than one place and time. Meet the beer born of a union between ancient Germany and modern Mexico—the Paloma Gose. Its salty, coriander-tinted and perfectly sour character of the Gose provides the ideal framework for the addition of tequila-influenced grapefruit and lime. With low alcohol and hop profiles, it’s a cocktail disguised as a wonderfully-balanced beer. An ancient classic.

An UnFiltered Born Again Pale Ale for all the wet hop lovers!
We’ve discovered that the Lagunitas brewers are part time alchemists... they’ve figured out how to keep wet hops wet all freakin’ year long! The next beer in our 2016 #OneHitter Series is this Born Again Yesterday Pale Ale, which features a delicious concoction of wet hops, reborn and unfiltered into our Born Yesterday Pale Ale. Congrats... It’s a beer again!

MORE ABOUT THE FREAKIN' WET HOPS:
To figure out this brand new wet hop preservation process, we had to forget everything that we already knew about how hops are processed and preserved. We tried 5 or 6 different things to try and achieve this process (some of which failed miserably), then we discovered a relatively simple process that deliberately did all the things that the textbooks told us not to do.

This new proprietary process involves a lot of time and money, and even more thinking about hops and freshness in new ways. From all of this, we found a brand-spankin’-new way to preserve the hops, fresh from the Yakima Valley trellises, first born during harvest season into the Born Yesterday last fall, and reborn into this scary new next step, the Born Again Yesterday Pale Ale, six months later, to the beer in your hands today.

Who wants to kick fruit out of beer? Not us. When done right, adding orange or grapefruit or tangerine can contribute a deeper level of delicious complexity to the beer. Ron Zacapa XO Rum

Ron Zacapa XO Rum...$94.99
Nose: A very open nose with a wealth of aromas that seem to evolve each time you nose the glass; a great balance of mature toasted oak, burnt caramel, dry-roasted nuts, marzipan and orange peel; a delicate floral note of honeysuckle in the background.

Palate:  A wonderfully complex and satisfying balance of sweetness, fruit, spice and spirit, all tempered by the extra ageing stage in ex-cognac French oak barrels; long, smooth and sweet with a weight of dark cherry chocolate and flavours of intense dried fruits like sultana, date and prune; sweet oak spices of clove, vanilla and cinnamon, and lighter notes of dried mango and raspberry, with a subtle hint of ginger to finish. A connoisseur’s delight and the ultimate expression of the Master Blender’s art.
