The tasting line-up:

2023 La Carrodilla Sauvignon Blanc...$22.99
Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico
The 2023 is a brilliantly crisp vintage for this white from the biodynamic organic Carrodilla winery. Lighter on the tropical notes found in many of the Sauvignon Blancs from this region, here one finds more the high citrus notes of lemon and lemongrass layered in with grapefruit, white peach, fresh cut lawn and honeydew melon. This is delicious right out of the gate but will age nicely for 4 to 5 years.

2023 Monte Xanic Chenin Blanc...$19.99
Valle de Guadalupe/Valle Ojos Negros/Baja CA., Mexico
Winemaker Oscar Ganoa continues to dial in his approach to the microclimates of the holdings of Monte Xanic and use them to his advantage. The result: stunning fruit development and excellent bright acidity that is a challenge to find in this region. While not meant as a wine to age, it will hold well in your cellar for a few years at a minimum.

2023 La Carrodilla "Polen" Rose...$26.99
Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico
This dry Grenache Rose is clean and has bright with fruit notes of strawberries and watermelon, citrus. Winemaker Gustava Gonzalez graduated as a chemist at the University of Berkley and obtained his master’s degree in Enology at the University of Davis, California.

2022 Monte Xanic Merlot...$34.99
Valle de Ojos Negros/Baja CA., Mexico
Monte Xanic was founded in 1987 by Eric, Hans, Manuel, Ricardo and Tomás, all great lovers of good wine and with a common dream: to create quality Mexican wines that would position Mexico on the international oenology map. Aged 12 months in French oak barriques, the dark cherry notes are complimented with vanilla, anise, and oak.

2022 Monte Xanic "Calixa" Cabernet/Syrah...$23.99
Valle de Guadalupe/Valle de Ojos Negros/Baja CA., Mexico
A classic new-world blend of two bold grapes (80% Cabernet, 20% Syrah) showcases the Valle de Guadalupe terroir with its sun drenched vineyards and sandy granite soils. This is a bountiful wine with flavors of ripened blackberries, tart bing-cherries and a subtle floral note of violets & fragrant lilacs. Truly a delicious crowd pleaser with or without food.

2023 La Carrodilla "Canto de Luna" Red Blend...$26.99
Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, and Syrah...Raspberry jam, tobacco, freshly cut red berries, refined wood, vanilla and blackberries on the nose. Dry, amicable, franc, acidity and tannins well-balanced, medium length. With over 20 years experience in the art of making wine; Gustavo González is one of the most renowned winemakers in the American Union. From 2015 he takes over La Lomita and Finca La Carrodilla wines in the Guadalupe Valley

Ridge Three Valleys Sonoma County

2021 Ridge Three Valleys Sonoma County...$24.99
Compare to $28.99 at Total Wine and More
A broad-shouldered red, with a potent structure but expressive blackberry, savory dill and white pepper flavors that speed toward medium-grained tannins. Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Syrah and Alicante Bouschet. Drink now through 2033. 22,000 cases made.
Rated 92/100 The Wine Spectator

Wine and Cheese Pairing with Ridge Zinfandel
The 2021 Ridge Three Valleys Sonoma County Zinfandel is a bold yet balanced wine with rich blackberry, plum, and dark cherry notes, complemented by hints of pepper, spice, and oak. To enhance its flavors, you'll want a cheese pairing that can stand up to its intensity but also complement its fruit-forward and spicy profile.  A perfect cheese pairing for this Zinfandel would Manchego, which offers a subtle, nutty flavor that still pairs nicely with the wine's fruit and spice. The cheese’s slight saltiness can balance out the wine's acidity and tannins, enhancing the overall experience without overpowering the wine's complex flavors.
Serve with some figs, nuts, and perhaps a drizzle of honey for a perfect pairing!

It's been said that the average person spends around 30% of their time daydreaming. Every once in a while, one of these daydreams becomes a reality. Just like this mead, for example. Daydreams was made with a combination of clover, orange blossom, and raspberry blossom honey and then blended with a combination of red raspberries and peaches. It was then transferred to a Makers Mark Private Select barrel where it aged for one year. The result is a raspberry/peach mead that is silky smooth and decadent. The fruit, the honey, and the notes from the bourbon barrel all meld together seamlessly.

2021 David Finlayson Chardonnay...$19.99
South African Chardonnay
A lily of the valley perfume opens to present ripe fruit flavours of cantaloupe melon, lemon zest, tangerine, and a touch of dried papaya. The palate has a gentle fruit character, so easy-drinking, with attractive notes of white peach, yellow cherry, and chamomile.
Rated 96/100 Decanter Magazine
There are some distinct similarities to the flavors found in cooler Burgundian sites – perhaps most similar to a fine Meursault. " - Winemaker

2021 El Enemigo Chardonnay...$24.99
Chardonnay from Argentina
A hint of flint and gunpowder with waxed lemon, oyster shell, mango and salted green apples. Quite a textured, saline expression of chardonnay with tangy flavors and a mineral drive. Full-bodied and reductive with phenolic support. Savory, saline and mouthwatering finish. Love the austerity here. Drink or hold.
Rated 97/100 James Suckling

2022 Domaine des Nugues Beaujolais Villages BLANC....$24.99
A rare 100% Chardonnay from Beaujolais
White Beaujolais Blanc is a bit of a rarity as only 2% of Beaujolais production is White. We do not see too many but they can be delicious wines when you get a good one. We found a great one! It is crisp and fresh with flavors of pears, melons, apricots. It is unoaked showing off the minerality and ripe fruits and a touch of nuttiness. It pairs well with goat cheese, fish, and even desserts with fresh fruit.

2023 Terlan Alto Adige Chardonnay Tradition....$21.99
Chardonnay from Italy
Fresh and open-knit, with flavors of Golden Delicious, persimmon and elderflower, plus a touch of almond skin, all layered with well-cut acidity. Spiced finish. Drink now. 10,000 cases made, 457 cases imported.
Rated 89/100 The Wine Spectator

2021 Te Mata Estate Chardonnay Hawkes Bay...$22.99
Chardonnnay from New Zealand (more known for their Sauvignon Blancs)
Aromas of white nectarines and white peaches, alongside notes of lychee, ripe citrus, creamy nougat and delicate spice. The ripe and dry mid-palate is full and rich, with just a touch of ripe pear and ‘marmalade on toast’. This plushness and concentration in Estate Chardonnay rolls to a whisper finish that’s clean, saline, fresh and fine-boned.

2021 Tan Fruit Chardonnay Cuvee Tan Fruit...$39.99
Oregon Chardonnay (more well know for Pinot Noir)
The 2021 Chardonnay Cuvée Tan Fruit comes from Dijon vines in the Maresh Vineyard, planted on a south-facing slope in 1991, plus a number of other sources around Willamette Valley. Bottled a few months earlier than the other Tan Fruit Chardonnays, its savory aromas explode from the glass: a core of peachy fruit is streaked with touches of candle smoke, matchstick, pie crust and floral tones. Medium-bodied, seamless and satiny, it flows effortlessly through the mouth with both depth of flavor and freshness. It has a pleasing touch of grip to anchor the long finish and feels like it has more to give as it unwinds in bottle over the next several years. Around 1,000 cases were made.
Rated 97/100 The Wine Advocate
