Robert Mondavi Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

2019 Robert Mondavi Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon....$39.99
The base 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is certainly impressive, and since there are roughly 90,000 cases, it’s an incredible achievement. Classic darker currants, tobacco leaf, truffly earth, and spicy oak all define the bouquet, and it’s medium to full-bodied, with ripe tannins, terrific balance, and outstanding length. Based off 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec, buy a case and enjoy bottles over the coming 10-15 years.
Rated 92/100 Jeb Dunnuck
A solid, forthright Cabernet, with cedar and warm stone notes framing the core of gently steeped black currant and blackberry fruit. Savory and loam accents flash through the finish. Drink now through 2030. 90,500 cases made.
Rated 91/100 The Wine Spectator

Aligote from Burgundy

The other white grape of Burgundy : Aligote
Most White Burgundy is made from Chardonnay, but there is one more grape allowed and that is Aligote.  Aligote is fresh and citrusy.    Pairs nicely with grilled fish and seafood.  Perfect with a wide assortment of salads and great which fresh goat cheese

2020 Louis Jadot Bouzeron Blanc....$31.99
Bouzeron is a rather new appellation dating back to 1998, only producing white wine with the Aligoté grape. It is the only identified place in Burgundy where a village appellation is produced with the aligoté grape (a crossing of gouais and pinot noir). Bouzeron is a small village located in the Côte Chalonnaise next to Rully. The size of the appellation is very small: 116.1 acres. Fermentation and vinification take place in stainless steel tanks and aging in French oak barrels (30% new barrels).

2020 George Lignier Bourgogne Aligote....$22.99
The domaine’s fresh, textbook Aligoté comes from vines in Morey-Saint-Denis: 70% from a 60-year-old planting in the lieu-dit Les Aires, and 30% from four tiny plots nearby. Vinified and aged in stainless steel on its fine lees for just shy of a year, it shows a satisfying old-vines plumpness beneath its clean, bright acidity and marked floral elements.

2019 Comte de Langeron Bouzeron Aligote...$24.99
Bouzeron is one of the five appellations in the Cote de Chalonnaise and the closest one to the Côte-d’Or (Bouzeron is a close neighbor of Rully and Chassagne-Montrachet). It was officially recognized in 1997 as a full-fledged Burgundian appellation village. The only appellation where the grape Aligote is the star. Bouzeron only produces white wines and the only grape is Aligote. Aligoté grape is a cross of Pinot Noir and Gouais (that no longer exists today).
Comted de Langeron Aligote has aromas of fresh peaches, white flowers, and green apples. On the palate, it is well balanced and creamy, but the wine is very pure with great focus and nice streak of acidity running through it. Great crisp White Burgundy with a round mouthfeel! Great bottle!
Classic Kir Cocktail
Created by the Mayor of Dijon, Kir is a popular French cocktail made with Aligote Wine and crème de cassis (blackcurrant liqueur)

2020 Comte de Langeron Coteaux Bourguignons Blanc...$25.99
  • 90% Chardonnay
  • 10% Aligote
Great white Burgundy at a great price!
This appellation, Coteaux Bourguignons, was created in 2011 covers red, white, and rosé wines, grown over four départements. The Coteaux Bourguignons appellation covers wines that can be blended or come from a single varietal, and which can use some more old-fashioned varietals. Production of white is very small from this area and most of them do not leave France.
A blend of Chardonnay and Aligoté of which most is matured in stainless steel. It has a great Burgundy nose with a touch of minerality that comes from the Aligote. Great flavors of tart apples and a steely acidity finishes off this great wine. Highly recommended and very limited production

Stowloch Missouri Whiskey

Stone Ledge Owner, Mark Sutherland
will be on hand This Friday -  Friday, March 3rd from 4pm-6pm at Forsyth to taste it out!

Stone Ledge Stowloch Missouri Whiskey....$47.99
50% ABV
Batch #1

Stowloch Whiskey is a certified Ozark Highlands whiskey using naturally limestone-filtered water, long fermentation, and aged at least 4 years in Missouri Oak barrels. The mash build is 55% corn, 40% wheat and 5% malted barley.

Mark Sutherland is a native Scot who emigrated to Missouri via England. He has been a strong advocate for Missouri and the Ozark Highlands for years, including the 200-year history of distilling in the Ozark Highlands. He is President of the Ozark Highlands Distillers Guild, a GlobalScot, and His Majesty’s Hon. Consul to Missouri.

Inspired by the art of traditional distilling and the beauty of America's Ozark Highlands, Stowloch™ Whiskey is distilled using natural, limestone-filtered Ozark Highlands water, long fermentation, and aged a minimum of 4 years in Missouri Oak barrels. Stowloch is made using an imported recipe brought to the Americas by our distiller's family in 1761. We use only heirloom, non-GMO grain and long fermentation to give this Ozark Highlands whiskey a pre-prohibition style that is sure to satisfy any palate. Our mash build is corn, wheat and malted barley, and since we use no rye in our mash you will find a hint of sweet in every sip.
This sustainable, all-natural whiskey captures the essence of the 200-year history of Ozark Highlands distilling and is sure to become one of your favorite drams.
The name Stowloch is the combination of the Anglo-Saxon word for holy place – “Stow” – and the Irish Gaelic word for lake – “Loch.” We take the liberty of translating it “Holy Water.”

Mark Sutherland is the CEO of Stone Ledge Spirits Company, the organization behind Stowloch Whiskey. Originally from Scotland, he has been in Missouri for 30+ years and is a passionate advocate for the Ozark Highlands and Missouri’s beverage industries. He is also a part time British diplomat, serving as His Majesty’s Hon. Consul to Missouri. Distilling has been part of the 200 year history of the Ozark Highlands. And Stowloch Whiskey is proud to be a part of the next chapter.

2021 San Marzano Edda Bianco Salento...$19.99 / 750ml
Vine variety: Predominantly Chardonnay with native white grape varieties at about 100 meters above sea level. Shallow soil, with medium-fine texture. The grapes are destemmed and left in cryomaceration for a few hours. The next phase is the gentle pressing of the marc followed by static cold decanting so that it happens naturally. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in French oak barriques. Ageing: On yeasts in French oak barriques for 4 months, with weekly bâtonnage. Tasting notes: Straw yellow colour with golden reflections; mellow citrus fruits and delicate vanilla floral notes fill the nose; to the taste it is generous in its elegance, fresh, delicate and mineral. Best served with: Starters, first courses with fish, cheese.
In the glass, the EDDA Bianco has a straw yellow color with golden reflections; soft citrus fruits and delicate floral vanilla notes fill the nose. The taste is generous, elegant, fresh, delicate and mineral. The finish is long and soft. The wine goes well with starters and intermediate dishes of fish and shellfish, chicken or shrimp. But above all, great with soft cheeses.

New wines from Yves Cuilleron!

New wines from Yves Cuilleron!

One of the most important, highly-regarded, and prolific estates in the Northern Rhône, the Cuilleron estate is made up 75 hectares in total, (8 in Côte Rôtie, 12 in Condrieu, 27 in Saint-Joseph, 4 in Crozes-Hermitage, 3 in Saint Péray, 1.5 in Cornas, and 19.5 in the greater IGP). Winegrowing is natural, with minimal treatments and an overall unique approach to soil management and pruning developed by Yves over the past several decades. During this time the domain has remained staunchly traditional on the winemaking side, with fermentation taking place with only wild yeasts, a commitment to traditional cap-punching, disdain for enzymes and shortcuts, and an overall commitment to NOT use technological aids of any kind.

2020 Yves Cuilleron Crozes-Hermitage "Labaya"...$26.99 / 750ml
