You absolutely must try this Chateauneuf-du-Pape made by a Lebanese winemaker who also is a top-tier Burgundy negociant.
Wait...what?
Admittedly, this is not much of a sales pitch. But, let me explain:
Mounir Saouma and his wife, Rotem, moved to France in 1995. Mounir wanted to be winemaker in Burgundy, but his unique style of winemaking made it hard for him to find permanent residence. So, he started a micro-negociant under the name "Lucien le Moine". He purchased newly fermented wines, then raised them and bottled them. His Premier Cru and Grand Cru cuvees are generally less than 75 case lots, and they are among the most sought after in the area.

Saouma eventually wanted to purchase his own property, but since that is nearly impossible to do in Burgundy, he set his sights on the Rhone Valley. Much like his highly regarded Burgundies from Lucien le Moine, Mounir's Chateauneufs are made with the utmost care and precision, hence the miniscule production. We were able to score 5 of the 125 cases imported to the US.

This wine is an incredible wine with great depth and complexity. A true standout. Don't sleep on it!

It means 'ROCKY HILL'. Because it's a hill and it's rocky.
Persistent aren't we? You and our late co-founder Peter Mackie have something in common.
Even when styles changed and the other distilleries moved on, he dug his heels into the craggy Craigellachie rock. Steadfastly using worm tubs to add sulphurous ballast to the dram - they called him 'old fashioned' even in 1891. Ol' Mackie and his cat may have passed, but the Craigellachie method isn't going anywhere.

The 2016 White Wine from Tenshen is made from a blend of Viognier, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc and Chardonnay sourced from sites throughout the Central Coast. Brought up mostly in neutral barrels, with a small part in stainless, it offers rich, full-bodied aromas and flavors of buttered peach, tangerine, honeysuckle and flowers. Jack Daniel’s is known for being a well-crafted, smooth sippin’ Tennessee Whiskey. You don’t last for over 150 years if you’re not a quality product, after all. We’ve become known for something else along the way too: our iconic black and white label. But what people may not know is that the history of our label wasn’t always so black and white.
Some time before 1904 our bottles were a rather unexpected shade of green with an eye-catching gold trim. And as unusual as that may seem, it’s just one of the many labels in Old No. 7’s past.
