I can't think of a better example to show off the highs(quality) and lows (quantity) of Burgundy's 2016 Vintage. A long time store favorite the 2016 Faiveley Mercurey is sadly in short supply this vintage, but we took everything we could get. If ever there was a can't miss Burgundy opportunity this is it!
2016 Domaine Faiveley Mercurey...$26.99 Purity is the hallmark of this sleek red, whose vibrant structure marshals the flavors of cherry, raspberry and currant to a lingering conclusion. Balanced and focused, this fades gracefully with berry, orange zest and spice notes. Drink now through 2030. Rated 93/100 The Wine Spectator
Chateauneuf Du Pape style at a great price!! 2016 Lilac Wine Cotes du Roussillon Villages...$19.99 Living up to its name, the 2016 Lilac Wine is floral and surprisingly delicate for a wine that tips the scales at 15% alcohol. A blend of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah, it sees only larger-format wood, leaving the purity of its mixed-berry and spice elements unvarnished by oak. It's a terrific bargain that should drink well for several more years. Rated 91/100 The Wine Advocate
2015 Ridge Chardonnay Estate....$51.99 Monte Bello Estate Vineyard Santa Cruz Mountains Starting with the two Chardonnays, Ridge's 2015 Chardonnay Estate is slightly deeper in color than the Monte Bello release and offers a White Burgundy-like bouquet of stone fruits, toasted spice, crushed rock and addition toasty nuances. It's rich, textured, has bright acidity, and needs 2-3 years of cellaring. There’s 1,700 cases of this beauty and it’s much more approachable today than the Monte Bello cuvee. Rated 93/100 Jeb Dunnuck Minerally and intense, with plenty of buttery notes, this well-spiced version pivots around a core of baked apple and pear tart flavors. Fresh and juicy midpalate, followed by a finish loaded with dried fig accents. Drink now through 2022. 1,711 cases made. Rated 92/100 Wine Spectator The 2015 Chardonnay Estate is excellent, wafting from the glass with notes of pear, ripe apple and white flowers, framed by a delicate touch of new oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, textural and expansive, with bright acids, excellent concentration and a long, tangy finish. Yields this year were some 35% below average, and the wine attained 14.5% alcohol; it spent 11 months in largely once used barrels and the following five in neutral oak before bottling without fining or filtration. Rated 92/100 Wine Advocate
2014 Walter Hansel Chardonnay North Slope....$37.99 The 2014 Chardonnay The North Slope comes from sandy, rich and fertile Goldridge soils. This wine exhibits plenty of honeyed brioche, with a greenish hue to its light-gold color, followed by notes of buttery hazelnuts, poached pear, pineapple and citrus oil. This is French in style as well, but with an almost lavish richness like a top-flight French Bâtard-Montrachet. It should drink well for 5-6 years. Rated 93/100 The Wine Advocate
Bells Quinannan Falls Special Lager Beer...$9.99 / 6pk CANS Dry-hopped Lager Literally born in a dream: Larry Bell, president and founder of Bell’s Brewery, dreamt that he was at the mystically hidden retreat of Quinannan Falls, somewhere in the boreal north.
Neither Quinannan Falls nor the beer actually existed outside his imagination, but he remembered enough about it to sketch a recipe and label, which was put into full form by Michigan artist Kathleen Kalinowski, the following morning.
The end result is a dry-hopped lager that possesses a crisp, dry bitterness you would expect from a German pilsner, but the use of highly aromatic Simcoe hops from the Pacific Northwest, evoke the fragrant pine forests that inspired this beer.

Del Maguey Wild Jabali Mezcal...$89.99 100% Wild Jabali – Santa Maria Albarradas Jabali (A. convallis) is a notoriously challenging plant with which to work. At every step of the production process after the roasting the plant will foam due to a high quantity of a chemical compound that naturally occurs in agave. Thus it is no surprise that Del Maguey Wild Jabali comes to us from the talented hands of the producer of our Tobala, Tepextate and Espadin Especial.
On the nose, Del Maguey Wild Jabali offers notes of fresh figs, baked apples, star anise and a hint of paremsan rind. On the palate there is bright, beautiful acidity with high florals of sweet violets, herbal notes of tarragon and a slight sandalwood finish.
Crystal Head Aurora Vodka....$45.99 / 750ml AURORA BOREALIS IS THE MOST VIVID AERIAL PHENOMENON. Our Crystal Head Aurora bottle was created in celebration of this natural light display, with its beauty and mysterious visual properties.
CRAFTED WITH THE PUREST INGREDIENTS. Aurora uses high quality English wheat and pristine water from Newfoundland, Canada to craft an additive-free vodka. The vodka is five times distilled and filtered seven times. Three of the filtrations pass through layers of Herkimer diamonds as our final distinctive touch.
AURORA IS A UNIQUE, NEW EXPRESSION OF CRYSTAL HEAD. Instead of exploring different flavours, Aurora was crafted using a different grain. It offers a drier, bolder, and spicier vodka while staying true to the Crystal Head house-style. The bottle, with its delicate and iridescent metallized finish, is our tribute to this natural wonder of the world.
Cantillon Classic Geuze Cantillon Vigneronne Blend of lambics aged on average 16 to 18 months and of Muscat grapes. Muscat grapes make Vigneronne a delicate and very refreshing beer that, due to the fructose, is slightly less acidic than other Cantillon beers.
In spite of its success, the Vigneronne represents less than 5% of the total production of the Cantillon brewery. In order to obtain grapes which are as mature as possible, we buy them at the end of the season. Every year, 1000 kilos of white italian grapes are delivered at the Cantillon brewery in the beginning of October.
It is difficult to produce more Vigneronne even though the demand exists. All the grapes are picked from the bunch by hand and we don’t have much time, since the new brewing season starts at the end of October.
The beers are not blended before the bottling. The second fermentation is caused by the addition of a sugared liquor.
The six-pointed star on our label is an alchemist’s symbol. It contains four elements, represented by triangles, of the brewing process. The fire is the symbol of the mashing tun, the earth of the cereals, the air of the yeasts, and the water is the fourth element. At this moment, only a brewer of traditional lambic may use this symbol.
Woodford Reserve Malt Whiskey...$33.99 Unlike a typical 100% malt whiskey, Woodford Reserve is a Kentucky Straight Malt Whiskey crafted from 51% malt and aged in new charred oak barrels, making it the malt whiskey for bourbon drinkers .
The base of 51 % malt results in a whiskey that is richly flavorful and complex and amplifies the nutty characteristics found in the original Woodford Reserve.
“Inspired by history and a desire to make the best tasting whiskies in the world, Woodford Reserve is charting its own unique path with this new malt whiskey based on historical precedence and our commitment to flavor, something that’s ingrained in everything we do,” said Master Distiller Chris Morris.
2014 Vajra Barolo Bricco delle Viole....$74.99 The 2014 Barolo Bricco delle Viole is positively stunning. There are many things about this wine that are super-impressive, but what stands out most is how soft and silky the tannins are. Because of that, the 2014 is much more approachable than it usually is, and yet also conveys the feeling of translucence that is such a signature of this site and wine. I am not sure I have ever tasted a young Bricco delle Viole with this much purity of fruit. The 2014 is total class. Don't miss it. 96/100 Antonio Galloni Vinous
