End of the year clearance!!

Smokehead Islay Single Malt Scotch Rum Rebel..only....$39.99
was $69.99

ABV 46% VOL.
Not so much finished in rum casks, more a rebel barely contained within, bursting to get out. 2014 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs

Amazing new vintage just arrived!

2014 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs...$249.99

Closed in style and character like the 2013, Taittinger's 2014 Brut Blanc de Blancs Comtes de Champagne reveals aromas of ripe orchard fruit, confit citrus, dried flowers, herbs, spring blossoms and mirabelle mingled with customary autolytic notes. Full-bodied, seamless and enrobing, it has a delicate, elegant, fleshy core of fruit and racy acids, all enhanced by a saline, fresh and penetrating finish marked by finesse and elegance. This refined, chalky-inflected Comtes de Champagne has the potential to age gracefully over the next 30-40 years.
Rated 97/100 The Wine Advocate
The 2014 Comtes de Champagne is pristine. In this tasting, it comes across as a mini-2008, similar in its linear personality, with just a touch more mid-palate creaminess. Readers will find a Comtes that plays in the realm of tension and energy. Citrus confit, white flowers, chalk, mint and chamomile are all finely sketched. Light tropical overtones grace the finish. What an absolute delight. The 2014 can be enjoyed now or cellared.

2022 Kongsgaard

2022 Kongsgaard Napa Valley Chardonnay...$139.99
Our historic blend of the Hudson and Hyde vineyards is augmented in 2022 with fruit from the spectacular Coombsville estate planted by Warren Winiarski for a wine of both energy and opulence. In line with the previous bottlings, the wine is defined by the tension of citrus and honeyed aromas over a vibrant, saline, mineral finish. When Robert Parker was visiting, he called this the Bâtard-Montrachet of Napa.

This is the first time we have seen this wine - only 2 bottles available!
2023 Kongsgaard Napa Valley Estate White....$249.99

The 2023 Estate White is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and Chardonnay, all organically farmed fruit from the Atlas Peak estate, co-fermented. The 2023 was fermented in equal parts neutral oak and amphora. Rich and beautifully layered in the glass, the Estate possesses striking textural depth from start to finish. Dried pear, chamomile, white flowers, mint and sage build, leading into the dense, phenolic finish. Leave it to John and Alex Kongsgaard to redefine what white wine can be in Napa Valley.

Single Malt Scotch
Crafted by Glenmorangie from field to glass, this limited-edition series brings the spirit and flavour of our Highland home to whisky lovers around the globe. Aged for 15 years, the third batch of Glenmorangie The Cadboll Estate brings a nutty and spicy twist to the series’ award-winning flavour.
Each release in the series begins in our Distillery’s own barley fields located on the Cadboll Estate, planted and harvested to Dr Bill’s specifications. This Cadboll barley is then mashed and distilled in our towering copper stills (as tall as an adult giraffe to allow for a more elegant taste and aroma), to bring forth a uniquely delicious spirit.
With notes of nuts and sweet spice in mind, Dr Bill selected spirit created from two separate barley harvests and aged it in American oak bourbon casks to enhance those creamy depths. Then, picturing notes of hazelnut, toffee and clove, he finished a small portion in casks which once held Amontillado, his favourite style of sherry. After 15 years, Dr Bill reunited these whiskies in this series’ delicious third batch release; threading hints of toffee and spice around honeysuckle, peaches and cream.

2019 Castello di Monsanto - Monsanto Il Poggio Gran Selezione

2019 Castello di Monsanto - Monsanto Il Poggio Gran Selezione...$92.99
The Castello di Monsanto 2019 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigneto Il Poggio (with the San Donato in Poggio location listed on the front label) offers a twofold approach with plenty of fresh cherry fruit and blueberry on the one hand, countered by light age and spice from balanced winemaking on the other. There are subtle hints of clove and toasted spice on the mid-weight close.

Earth and wild herb aromas segue to cherry, strawberry and pomegranate flavors in this muscular version. Tar, earth, iron and sanguine elements chime in, adding depth as well as a toughness that will require some years to refine. The core of ripe fruit reveals this red's future promise. RACLETTE Cheese!

We have both French and Swiss Raclette in stock at Forsyth now!!

French Raclette - in stock
Swiss Raclette - in stock

Raclette, a semi-firm cheese from the Swiss and French Alps, is a fun and different way to enjoy cheese at a friendly get-together on a cool fall or cold winter night. Raclette, which means “scraper,” is traditionally hung on a fork in from of a fire so that the face of the cheese softens. As it melts, it is scraped off the cheese slab and eaten with boiled new potatoes, pickled onions, and cornichons. The texture of raclette is very smooth, and seems to melt in your mouth even without heating. The taste is rich, reminiscent of wine and fruit, with a pronounced tang. Thinly sliced dried ham, such as prosciutto, iberico or serrano is an excellent accompaniment. Raclette, thin ham slices, bread, boiled potatoes, pickled onions and sour gherkins, make for a light and festive supper for friends or family.

Speaking of melting cheeses -- Fondue!!

Fresh Cheese!

Fresh batch just arrived at Forsyth!!

Tulip Tree Foxglove
This double cream, washed rind cheese has a soft consistency and earthy, more pungent flavors created by a mixture of cultures (yeast, salt, & Hubbard and Cravens Porter Beer made by Thr3ee Wise Men Brewery) applied on the distinctive reddish-colored rind. If you have trouble choosing between a Taleggio and Epoisses, this cheese may hit the spot. The Foxglove ages from four to eight weeks.

Tulip Tree Trillium
Tulip Tree Trilium is a fresh, bloomy-rind cheese inspired by classic French styles but made with a distinctly American touch. Soft and creamy at the core with a delicate white rind, it offers clean dairy flavors, subtle mushroom notes, and a gentle tang that builds as it ripens. Balanced and approachable rather than overly rich, Trilium is an elegant, versatile cheese that shines on a cheese board or alongside crisp whites and light reds.

Cowgirl Creamery Mt. Tam
Cowgirl Creamery Mt. Tam is a triple-cream, bloomy-rind cheese that balances richness with structure. Lush and buttery at the center with a smooth, spoonable texture, it develops subtle mushroom, cultured cream, and toasted milk notes as it ripens. Despite its decadence, Mt. Tam remains composed and savory, making it a benchmark American soft-ripened cheese and a standout on any cheese board.

Domaine J. Despesse

We are honored to get the only allocation of this wine in Missouri. Most of his very limited 100% Syrah wines are reserved for only top restaurants in France. Very little leaves France!! We are lucky to have a few cases of each

Check out the tiny production of these! Do not sleep on these

This is the first time we have received an allocation of his White wine - only 12 bottles made it to Missouri and we have them all!
2024 Domaine J. Despesse Terres des Deux Sannes Blanc...$39.99
70% Marsanne and 30% Roussanne

Jerome Despesse is a gifted and dynamic winemaker best known for his Cornas, This exciting wine is the first whie wine produced by Jérôme. "Deux Sannes" referrers to the ening of the names of the two classic Northern Rhône white grapes that compose this blend. The combination of pear, peach, and stone fruit flavors in this wine make it a very versatie, equally good with food or as an aperitif.

2023 Domaine J. Despesse Cornas...$69.99
Only 125 cases made
He is considered on the same level as Allemand, Clape and Jamet
From the young Jerome Despesse’s estate located in the southern part of Cornas...not far from what you can find from Allemand or Clape)" -- Jeb Dunnuck
J. Despesse is all about quality, he did not produce a wine a Cornas in 2021 as he did not feel it was up to his standards. This wine comes from a lieu-dit at the Southern end of Cornas called Les Côtes. These old vines, planted by his grandfather more than fifty years ago, are located right next to those of Auguste Clape. They come specifically from a tiny plot called Le Craux that produces less than 125 cases per year!!!

Amazing Cotes do Rhone!
2023 J. Despesse Cotes du Rhone Rouge...$39.99

2022 Domaine Roulot Meursault Clos des Boucheres 1er Cru Monopole

2022 Domaine Roulot Meursault Clos des Boucheres 1er Cru Monopole...$549.99
Located at the top of the band of premiers crus, Clos des Bouchères is often misunderstood and underappreciated. According to Paul Delorme, it is dominated by limestone and is most similar to Perrières. The 2022 vintage has delivered a spectacular result, with aromas of ripe pear and hawthorn flowers, a little coconut water and a powerful yet elegant saline concentration. The lees are stirred, but the reduction is very slight and not overdone. Drinking window 2030-2060

2022 Comte de Vogue Bonnes Mares Grand Cru

2022 Comte de Vogue Bonnes Mares Grand Cru....$499.99
This great Bonnes Mares starts cool and restrained, but expands rapidly as it moves over the palate, with delicate, spicy almond and cream character. Mouth-filling and generous yet subtle and light-footed, this is at the upper limit of medium-bodied. Then a huge wave of salty minerality comes through at the finish to give the wine a whole extra dimension and making this an almost overwhelming expression of beauty. Drinkable now.
Rated 98/100 James Suckling
Another cuvée that was also in bottle when I visited, the 2022 Bonnes Mares Grand Cru unfurls in the glass with aromas of cherries and raspberries mingled with exotic notes and sweet forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy, it's concentrated and textural, with nicely integrated tannins, lively acids and a long, saline, rose-inflected finish. Its more sensual style is a welcome evolution.

2020 Screaming Eagle The Flight....$999.99 / 750ml bottle
Screaming Eagle’s ‘The Flight’ is positively gorgeous in 2020, leading with a plethora of perfumed violets and wild herb notes intermixed with graphite and cedarwood spices. Mediym-bodied offering a purity of redberry fruit flavours redolent of cranberry and raspberry alongside dark cherry, all framed by tantalising acidity. The crunchy red fruit is balanced by a dazzling minerality, opening up to reveal blood orange, brown spices, spearmint, and pops of lovely blue floral notes. Broad tannins build in stature on the long, sanguine finish.
Rated 98/100 Decanter Magazine
Aromas of blackberries, red and black currants. Green olives, too. Dark roses and perfume. Medium-bodied with super crunchy energy and brightness. Very fine tannins. Elegant and precise. So subtle and complex, it’s really something. A blend of 64% merlot and 36% cabernet sauvignon. Needs four to five years to open and come together.

2011 Domaine de Rancy Cotes Catalanes Rancio Sec

Perfect 100/100

2011 Domaine de Rancy Cotes Catalanes Rancio Sec....$59.99 / 500ml
The 2011 Côtes Catalanes Rancio Macabeu is Rancio perfection. When served, its perfume fills the room without even smelling the glass. A pure Macabeu, it is intense, revealing a crisp freshness and sharpness that enhances the aromatic complexity of the wine. Notes of caramel, orange zest, toasted almonds, dates, and dried apricot are joined on the finish by butter croissant notes, walnut tart, and a hint of cigar. It may be challenging for someone who doesn't know the style, but it’s otherwise balanced and stunning, with a very long finish. It really is a world apart, unapologetic, and we love it for exactly that reason. Drink 2025-2050.
Rated 100/100 Jeb Dunnuck

If you are not familiar with this wine - it is a dry, "oxidized" wine similar in style to a dry sherry or Madeira. Since it is oxidized, it can be opened and enjoyed for a few months.  It is not fortified even though it is 20% ABV, the grapes are picked very late so they have a high sugar content.
