Pennsylvania-style rye or Old Monongahela rye is characterized by having a mash of just rye and malted barley, there is no corn in Pennsylvania style rye.
Bringing authentic Pennsylvania Style Rye Whiskey - rye grain, malt, no corn, sweet mash - back, one batch at a time, at our distillery in Bristol, PA
Our recipe was formulated working with the Artisan Distilling Program at Michigan State University over a two year period and is modeled after traditional Pennsylvania rye whiskey. Using high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients, a grain bill of 80% rye, 15% barley malt and 5% rye malt yields a flavorful mash that undergoes a weeklong, controlled fermentation to develop complex flavor. At the end of this week, the mash is ready for the first of two distillations.

We take our used whiskey barrels, fill them with delicious maple syrup sourced from Somerset County, Pennsylvania and allow that maple syrup to rest in those barrels for several months – picking up the wonderful essence of the whiskey flavor. In turn, these wooden barrels become saturated with the flavor of the maple syrup. Then we empty the maple syrup from the barrels (and sell it), and refill the barrels with aged whiskey. We let this whiskey age another several months to allow it to absorb the natural maple flavor left behind. We do not add any artificial flavors or chemicals to our whiskey – we only want the maple flavor to influence the whiskey, not overwhelm it.

This bourbon comes in at cask strength, uncut & unfiltered, just like the musician it honors. Old Soul Bourbon Tintype #2 is the second installment to the Tintype Series in collaboration with Music Maker Foundation (MMF).
“This bourbon is exclusive, and Hermon Hitson’s work for the longest time was too. It was difficult to find his 45s unless you were a deep head,” said Tim Duffy, Founder of MMF. “So, this collaboration makes sense: a fine bottle of spirits graced by a fine musical spirit.”Nose: Defined by a very sweet nose of vibrant corn and butterscotch, with hints of toasted walnuts.
Tasting: The palate is rich and buttery with undertones of licorice and anise.
Finish: The finish is long, with subtle lingering notes of dark chocolate and cinnamon.

Dunkes Bier is a German Style Pilsner made from the authentic, 188-years old, Schönberger family recipe from Millstadt’s Sister City, Gross-Bieberau, Germany located in the Odenwald region and founded in 787. The Schönberger family founded their bierbraurie in 1835 but closed it many years ago. The Oldenwald region has its own ancient dialect, “Odenwälder” and in that dialect the friendly word for a person from Gross-Bieberau is a “Dunkes”.We named this beer in honor of that deep tradition because Millstadt was founded in 1836 about the time the ancestors of many current Millstadt residents immigrated here from Gross-Bieberau. We brew Dunkes Bier to preserve the cultural bier heritage of Gross-Bieberau and honor our own ancestry. Crisp, refreshing light-bodied pils with crackery malt and an elegant, floral-herbal hop character.

Philippe Collin, a native of Champagne, moved to Limoux in 1980 to establish his own domaine. Though his family has made Champagne for generations, the opportunities in this sought after, and extremely expensive area, were very limited.
This elegantly constructed rosé is pale salmon pink in color. Though the wine is primarily made from Chardonnay, subtle wild strawberry notes are detectable in the nose and on the palate from the Pinot Noir. The crisp, mineral Chardonnay is softened by the lush and aromatic Chenin Blanc. The result is a lively wine with a lot of character, without any aggressive or astringent notes. This is a wonderfully versatile rosé ideal for pork and salmon dishes, or simply on its own as an aperitif
