Cedrick Bardin - Loire Whites!

Founded in 1991, the estate extends over both banks of the Loire. To date, we cultivate 15 hectares in Pouilly-Fumé, Pouilly-sur-Loire, Sancerre and Coteaux-du-Giennois appellations areas.  We try to work in the most rational way possible, respecting our land and our environment, making use of cutting-edge techniques, and, above all, not forgetting the know-how passed down by our ancestors.  It was only logical that, at the start of 2016, we decided to join the Terra Vitis network, an environmentally friendly approach "from the vineyard to the bottle".  With the 2018 vintage, the second certified vintage, we have taken the approach a step further by not using insecticides or weed killers.  We strive to make wines that are just like us to fully satisfy our customers.

2020 Domaine Cédrick Bardin Pouilly-Fumé...$26.99
"Made from a blend of four terroirs, this Pouilly Fumé is the heart of our production." - winemaker
The intensity and richness of this wine are impressive. They promise good aging, with a texture that has a taut citrus-zest character as well as powerful white fruits. Green-fruit acidity gives both texture and freshness. Drink from 2022.
Rated 91/100 The Wine Enthusiast
Ripe tangerine and lemon mousse flavors are flanked with vivid undertones of flint, heather and grapefruit that are lengthened out on the long finish. Drink now. 5,833 cases made, only 450 cases imported

2020 Domaine Cédrick Bardin Sancerre...$29.99

25 Year Old vines.
"Typical expression of Sauvignon Blanc. This Sancerre comes from a flinty terroir, characterised by its minerality, freshness and finesse. Can be appreciated as an aperitif, with Crottin de Chavignol (goats cheese) or grilled fish. Best drunk in the 5 years after vintage." - Winemaker
Pale yellow with green reflections. The nose presents a good intensity from the opening. The first notes are expressed on the exotic fruits (passion fruit, guava and lychee). Notes of lime as well as a a touch of white pepper allows the nose to express a nice freshness. From start to mid-palate, the balance is frank, chiseled and fresh. A certain sweetness then coats the palate. A slight bitterness remains at the end of the mouth, recalling the citrus notes (grapefruit, bitter orange) on the nose.
