RODENBACH Alexander is brewed in Brewery RODENBACH in West Flanders Roeselare. This beer of mixed fermentation consists of 2 / 3rd of beer 12 months matured in oak casks and 1 / 3rd green beer, after which it undergoes a maceration with sour cherries. This particular beer with its unique, balanced palette, complex finish and subtle fruit and wood buttons is undoubtedly one of the best Sour Ales which RODENBACH ever created. It was first brewed in 1986 to mark the 200th anniversary of Alexander Rodenbach and is now back on popular demand from beer lovers at home and abroad. Its aftertaste reminiscent of a Burgundy wine and thanks to his fraîcheur "This beer is perfect as an aperitif, with an assortment of cheese or dessert. 



Rodenbach Caractere Rouge...$24.99 / 750ml
The brewer allow the beer to macerate with fresh cherries, raspberries and cranberries. After this maceration in oak, the beer re-ferments in the bottle. The result is RODENBACH Caractère Rouge, an exceptional RODENBACH with fruit maceration and a 7% alcohol volume. The brew is more than unique and extremely exclusive, as only 900 75-cl bottles were produced. Geunes serves this wilful beer as part of his other unique range of beer varieties in his restaurant, ’t Zilte, at the Antwerp MAS museum.
