Selected in Kentucky during an exclusive VIP tour, this Peerless Single Barrel represents the very best of what the distillery had slated for on-site single-barrel release. Guided by John Wadell, Head Taster at Peerless, six exceptional barrels—each originally intended for Peerless’ gift shop—were hand-selected by John. The Expanding Possibilities of the West
Each year that passes we are compelled to step away from the accomplishments of the past to strike out into the wild again, explore new ideas, and move further into the unknown where there are no signs to point the way. As we do, we deliberately leave behind markers so the lessons learned aren’t lost in the fervor of new ideas. Keeping a record has become a gratifying discipline at Westland, enabling us to press on while still gaining perspective from where we’ve been.
A clearer picture of Garry oak is beginning to take shape. We’ve begun to answer a number of questions already with our early releases. Will Garry oak play well with virgin American oak casks of the new world and the smoky peated malt of the old? Can it take on a supporting, complementary role in a more delicate, nuanced whiskey without overpowering it? How does its influence change when used as a finishing cask?
This year’s release of Garryana continues the inquiry and plants yet another marker in uncharted territory that still seems to have no horizon. With Garryana 4|1 we followed a path we’ve been curious to explore since the beginning: Sherry casks.
Again we examine what happens when the traditions of the old world collide with the creativity of the new. What happens when two of the deepest wells of flavor are combined in one bottle? Will one deny a voice to the other? Or will they find harmony in a new and unexpected way?
With this release, we place another entry in the record.
Our West is Whiskey

Carpano Punt e Mes Vermouth

Carpano Punt e Mes Vermouth...$24.99
Unique and unmatched. Appreciated the world over for its very high quality. Have it neat and very cold, with soda water and on the rocks decorated with a slice of orange. It is an essential base of mythical cocktails.
This aroma of this sweet vermouth suggests dark berries and savory spices. The first sip is sweet, rich and plummy, with flickers of juicy orange. The long finish is shored up with baking spice and dried thyme. Recommended for cocktails.

2023 Ridge Lytton Springs Zinfandel

The Wine Spectator's #3 Wine of The Year 2025

2023 Ridge Lytton Springs Zinfandel...$55.99
Dry Creek Valley is the epicenter of California Zinfandel, and few vineyards express that like Lytton Springs. It was first planted in 1901, and Ridge’s first bottling was in 1972. The soil in the flatlands is gravelly loam full of rocks, boasting the oldest vines, while the hill has more clay. The 2023 bottling is more than three-quarters Zinfandel, with Petite Sirah and Carignane contributing a zesty, spicy character to the blend. Lytton Springs winemaker Shauna Rosenblum, daughter of Zin legend Kent Rosenblum, aged the wine for 16 months in American oak barrels, 19 percent of which are new.
Rated 95/100 The Wine Spectator
Blending 76% Zinfandel, 14% Petite Sirah, 7% Carignane, 2% Alicante Bouschet and 1% Mataro from an estate vineyard in Dry Creek Valley purchased in 1972, the 2023 Zinfandel Lytton Springs exhibits initial chewiness that leads to fine tannins, with a good heft and underlying acidity. Well-woven oak supports a moderately ripe, medium-bodied frame of structured elegance, aged in 100% air-dried American oak. Enjoy now through 2033.

The Vineyards: Located at 2400 ft. above sea level, these grapes were estate- grown at our Hay Station Ranch vineyard where warm days are cooled by the evening mountain air. This area’s unique soil of decomposed granite mixed with volcanic sediment and red clay produce a wonderful mineral component. Grapes have been grown in the Sierra Foothills for 150 years.

Barrell Dovetail Toasted Whiskey

New - Toasted!!!

Barrell Dovetail Toasted Whiskey...$189.99
This limited-edition expression reimagines our award-winning Barrell Dovetail with an elevated dimension. Our signature blend—finished in structured California Cabernet, indulgent Port, and funky Rum casks—was further refined with 33 months of secondary maturation in toasted American oak, drawing out layers of caramelized sugar, warm spice, and rich oak. The result is a more decadent evolution of Dovetail—complex, opulent, and exquisitely polished.
Extended maturation in new American toasted oak deepens Dovetail’s character, layering vanilla bean, honeycomb, and caramelized sugar over its hallmark notes of dark cherry, fig, and cocoa. Roasted marshmallow and toffee meet baking spice and toasted hazelnut, while hints of coconut, leather, and sweet tobacco unfurl with each sip. The finish lingers luxuriously, where rich oak and warm spice frame jammy fruit, creating a more indulgent, opulent expression of Dovetail.

Distilled in Indiana and Tennessee

2013 Domaine François Lamarche La Grande Rue Grand Cru

We have one bottle left - it has a stained label. It was wrapped in red paper and another bottle broke and got the paper wet and stained the label (currently at Forsyth)

2013 Domaine François Lamarche La Grande Rue Grand Cru....$299.99
(for the stained label bottle)
normal price...$399.99

Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting in Beaune, the 2013 La Grande Rue Grand Cru has a backward and broody bouquet, very complex with hints of woodland, damp earth and fern filtering through the tightly wound red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple and very fine, almost filigree tannins. The acidity is beautifully judged here -- very focused and refined, seamless towards the sophisticated finish. This is one of the best vintages of La Grand Rue that I have tasted, which is a considerable achievement given that this was not an exemplary growing season.

2022 Lail Vineyards Georgia Sauvignon Blanc

One of the greatest Sauvignon Blancs made - anywhere!

2022 Lail Vineyards Georgia Sauvignon Blanc...$164.99
One of Napa's most impressive examples of the variety, Lail's 2022 Georgia Sauvignon Blanc—picked long before Labor Day's scorching heat wave—features crushed stone notes, a subtle fumé character and fruity hints of lime, tangerine and guava. It's medium to full-bodied, plump and expansive on the palate, revealing plenty of texture and length. The vineyard was originally planted by George Yount in 1839, but the current, dry-farmed vines "only" go back to 1988. Planted to Merlot then, it was grafted over to Sauvignon Blanc in 2006–2007.

Domaine Alvina Pernot

Great Grand Cru White Burgundy in stock now!
Limited!

2021 Domaine Alvina Pernot Batard Montrachet Grand Cru....$699.99
Alvina Pernot has produced a superb Bâtard. The terroir, which tends toward heaviness, seems well-suited to her style, which tends toward lean, racy wines. Here the combination gives the impression of ripe apple fruit with a suggestion of something more exotic; the texture on the palate reveals the density of the wine, with a rich, full body and flavours of butter and cream along with a mineral note. Pernot and her husband farm a half-hectare, and if this is any indication, they have particular success with this wine.

2021 Domaine Alvina Pernot Bienvenues Batard Montrachet Grand Cru....$699.99
Ripe aromas of green apple, passionfruit, and melon dominate the nose and are given depth with shades of butter, chamomile, and spice. The texture is rich and deep, with a creamy feel but no sense of heaviness. The grapes are pressed as whole clusters and fermented on native yeasts, mainly in used casks, before ageing over two winters. This wine is elegant and fine, yet does not lack the substance for long ageing.
Rated 95/100 Decanter Magazine

2021 Domaine Alvina Pernot Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru....$319.99
This Corton-Charlemagne is striking for its vibrant acidity and lemony charm, with salty mineral notes and white flowers. There is also a richness and breadth that are very appealing. The grapes come from a friend in Pernand-Vergelesses; typically, they exchange Puligny Folatières two-for-one for the Corton Charlemagne. It is worth the premium, although this year, their friend could only part with enough for a single barrel. The grapes were gently pressed as whole clusters and fermented in a used cask. The result is a wine of limpid purity that lingers seemingly forever on the palate.

2021 Joseph Roty Mazy Chambertin Grand Cru

2021 Joseph Roty Mazy Chambertin Grand Cru....$399.99
compare to $579.99 at K&L
only 1 bottle available

Aromas of cherries, plums, sweet berries, orange oil and licorice introduce the 2021 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru, a full-bodied, supple and fleshy wine with a satiny attack that segues into an ample core of fruit framed by sweet, powdery tannins, concluding with a long, perfumed finish. This can be quite structured out of the gates, but the inherent charm of the vintage has rendered it more than usually approachable. Tasting with affable eleventh-generation vigneron Pierre-Jean Roty—who took the helm at this discrete family-owned domaine following his brother's untimely passing in 2015—is an annual pleasure that I always eagerly anticipate. This year, it was the turn of the 2021s, wines that have nothing to fear from a comparison with other sunnier, drier recent years, exuding charm and perfume that will delight Burgundy purists. Roty fans will be familiar with the approach at this address: assiduously but only shallowly cultivated soils, a high proportion of old vines, minimal use of chemical treatments, destemmed grapes fermented in concrete tanks, and élevage in generous percentages of smoky new oak for 15-16 months. My sense is that today's wines are suppler than the Roty wines of yesteryear. They're less forbidding in their youth than their formidable reputation might suggest—even the grands crus boast such generosity of fruit that their rich structuring tannins are frequently concealed. But they develop just as gracefully as ever.

The 2021 Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru is especially good, bursting with aromas of red berries, cherries and plums mingled with peony, rose petals and spices. Full-bodied, supple and seamless, with an unctuous core of lively, perfumed fruit framed by melting tannins, it concludes with a long and perfumed finish. In its entirely different style, it's every bit as good as its 2020 counterpart. As readers may remember, it derives from a tiny enclave surrounded on three sides by Domaine Fourrier's parcel. 2021 Maybach Amoenus Cabernet Sauvignon

Limited - one of the best of California
2021 Maybach Amoenus Cabernet Sauvignon...$199.99
Leading off the 2021s I was able to taste from Maybach, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Amoenus is flat-out brilliant and has a layered, perfumed, almost exotic style in its black and blue fruits as well as spicy, floral, incense, orange blossom, and gravelly earth-like aromas and flavors. It shows the concentrated yet vibrant, focused style of the vintage, has full-bodied richness, beautiful tannins, and a gorgeous finish. This powerful, structured, incredibly impressive Cabernet Sauvignon deserves 4-5 years in the cellar and will evolve for two decades at a minimum.

CRAFTED BLEND - Ensembles of great malt and grain
Some people believe that blended whisky is inferior to single malt. But this view ignores the long tradition of blending, which has given the world some truly great Scotch. Whisky blending is an art. We at Murray McDavid have used our extensive range of grain and malt to craft an innovative range of whiskies which will change your view of blended Scotch whisky forever.
To make this opulent blended Scotch whisky, our fourth batch of Rìgh Seumas II (pronounced “ray shay-muss”), we’re rebelling against mediocre blends. We have brought together a “dram worthy of kings”. This luxurious dram, bursting with a variety of different spirits, consists of 70% malt and 30% grain whisky – a highly complex and unique recipe. This is a European favorite that is now available to the USA.
This powerful blend, inspired by Jim McEwan, is the spirit of Bruichladdich, along with older malts from Auchentoshan, Tobermory, Arran, and Old Rhosdhu. These were matured in Bordeaux red wine barriques, blended with grain whisky, before resting in Sherry hogsheads. The arts of maturation and blending at their very best.

We at Murray McDavid have used our extensive range of grain and malt to craft an innovative range of whiskies which will change your view of blended Scotch whisky forever.

An homage to a classic combination, a tradition born in the bars of Glasgow, the ‘half n half’ is a half pint of beer with a Scotch whisky. Our half ‘n’ half is a blend of 50% single malt from four Speyside distilleries and 50% sweet Lowland single grain whisky. This coming together creates a dram that goes down perfectly with a nice, cool beer.

For its final year of maturation, we have finished the Half ‘n’ Half in hogsheads previously used to mature a hoppy beer from our friends at the MOOR Beer Co. in Bristol. This light and gentle blended whisky has developed into a very quaffable dram, one which we invite you to enjoy with your favourite beer.
