This is as local as possible! Amazing Grace honey is from bee yards in Ladue, MO. Bees will forage about 2 miles in any direction, so if you live in that area, this honey likely contains nectar from your blossoms!
What does ‘raw’ mean? To preserve flavor and aroma, plus anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, Amazing Grace Honey is slightly warmed and then strained before bottling. That’s it!
Spring Harvest variety is extracted in early July. This honey is lighter in color and flavor due to the nectar and pollen sources available in the spring, such as clovers and flowering trees.
Summer Harvest variety is extracted in mid August, and includes sources from later-blossoming plants, such as milkweeds and goldenrods. Summer Harvest is darker and fuller-flavored.
Enjoy them both and compare! All raw honey will eventually crystallize. To re-liquefy, just place jar in warm water.
